A beautiful, little park that makes you want to walk around every corner and enjoy every little bush and flower. We loved the open area with a fountain near the church, and a walk near rose bushes. The only reason for 4 stars is the appearance of fruit trees there. They seem to be a bit neglected. We saw many bugs on leaves, and many leaves were eaten by them. Also, some trees looked like they werent watered enough.
Nice, clean, quiet.
I was extremely upset at the fact that they are not maintaining the orchard very well at the Peter Hill heritage Park. I walk here 2 times a day every day to walk my dog. About 5 trees have died and they pruned the trees right before the fruit was ready which is so wasteful as well as the grapes are out of control growing all over the place. Literally the trees are 1/3 to 1/4 the size they were and all the fruit from those branches are gone! There were sticks and debree left on the ground in the orchard for 2 months that I would step on. I am shocked that they pruned the trees days before the fruits were ready it almost makes me feel sick. 1/3 of the fruit that is left are now getting sunburned. Sean assured me this is correct and that Dave from Bushnells landscaping knows what he is doing but I see this as sheer laziness and neglect of such beautiful and expensive trees. Everyone knows you are not supposed to prune a tree days before the fruit is ready. GET IT TOGETHER GUYS this is pure wastefulness. I have been waiting and watching the trees since they started to sprout leaves in the spring all the way waiting patiently to enjoy the fruits and since they have waited last minute its a waste of the trees energy all for nothin! Also a persimmon tree has been knocked over for months and needs to be propped up and no one has done anything about it i tried to prop it up with a stick and rock to help it otherwise it would be fully resting on the ground. Literally made me sick walking through the other day to see this has happened. Also the water fountains are not turned on yet and bathrooms are always locked!
