This place was fantastic! You cant get a lot of info about the course online or on their website but it is nice. Some beautiful views, a great layout, elevation changes, well groomed and the granite outcroppings add a special feature to a very nice course.

Lots of trees and water traps. Funky layout. Challenging, back 9 is very thin. Every put seemed to go too fast and too far. Well maintained course for the most part. Decent sand traps.

Went to visit a friend at his club. Great layout, staff and facilities. Beautiful course, with tree lined fairways & multitiered greens. Probably not the best layout for beginners, but plenty of value for most level of players. I would certainly recommend a visit

I live on a street adjacent to the golf course. It is a pretty challenging, narrow, course but the scenery is out of the world beautiful.

The challenge is fulfilling. Every hole is a chess move. Beautiful to the eye and if not careful bruising to the ego.

Challenging track. Well maintained. Great use of elevation in the course design. Classy place. Amazing homes along the course. Prime tee times are pricey, but worth it.

Very challenging course. It kept several of my golf balls. Even some really good drives couldnt prevent me from exceeding 110 today. Dont try to walk it. There are some lengthy stretches between holes. On the lay-up holes, you really need to hit to the end of the available fairways; the swamp grass is deeper than you think. The GPS in the carts can aid in maximizing your shots.

This place is beautiful. Came here for a wedding. Ceremony was under a gorgeous oak tree by a pond. There is an outdoor seating area that overlooks the gold course. Food was delicious. Service was great.

Our waitress did an awesome job. We were sitting on the patio and she took orders on several tickets... something that wouldve frazzled me. Great food and great service

This is the pinnacle of luxury and elegance. Enjoyed my experience very much.

Challenging course that is quite fun with many technical approaches. On course maintenance is a bit lacking but still playable. Staff needs to be sent to customer service training, do not think Ive ever been subject to a many grumpy old farts in one place at the same time...

I really enjoyed my first Christmas party with my cousin at Whitney Oaks Golf Club! Nice building friendly people! The food was delicious!

Golf was very challenging but fair. Stopped at club house on turn had hamburger and fries dbl Captain Morgan with oj and grapefruit i call it a bob Marley 65 dollars plus tip good eats but a little expensive still had avery good day walter hicks in pro shop very accommodating very professional

I bring my 9 year old son here for lessons. The course is kept in good shape and Kim is a fantastic instructor!

A must play course! A challenging ball hawking course, with beautiful scenery. The depth perceptive tee boxes, that narrow the farther you tee back, large quick greens, and great rate of play make this a tough course. Only problem Ive ever had is not having a cart person, which can be annoying.

Beautiful greens, great putting and chipping. Great driving range, but they need a new golf ball dispenser due to the fact that my dad was jipped twice by inserting a 10 dollar bill for a large basket of balls and only received a medium size amount of balls. Machine is old and clunky.

Not the course we remember.we had 26 players from our mens club play there saturday.check in was difficult,grey hair guy was overwhelmed when we all showed up.then he got a phone call and was taking a wedding party I think from the pro shop?the starter was great.the bartenders were great,servers even better.now the course.greens were slow,never in 15+ rounds Ive played there were the greens slow?course was slow mud on our balls on some hole s?all in all we had a fun time due to the service not the course!bring back troon and let thunder valley rip off the gamblers not the golfers!

Great atmosphere. The restaurant over looks the entire golf course. Amazing views. Service was fast. The staff was friendly. $2.00 memosas on our Sunday trip. The food was good. Felt like I was on vacation.

Check in was to slow. Pace of play was slow. 5 hour round. Greens are in good condition. Fairways are browning out.

Bartenders are outstanding and customer service is on point. The golf course however is willing to kick your butt if your up for it.

Had dinner at this restaurant many times before. The waitress are always very kind and attentive. Last time I had dinner there was a concert going on out in the porch area where people were dining, including myself. The music was good, the onion rings excellent and the French dip sandwich too. Thank you.

Great golf course. This is one of the hardest courses in the area. The only drawback tends to be the staff. They are not the friendliest people around. If you can get past that you are in for a very tough round with difficult greens and some narrow fairways. It is one of my favorite courses in the Sacramento area.

Great place to golf

This is likely the most technically difficult course in the Sacramento area. The greens are not that tuff, but it can be struggle to get there... Played June 16th and I feel the course in general was not in very good shape. It has not been hot so theres no excuse for brown in the fairways, rock hard tee boxes, and for god sake put some sand in the traps!

Very well kept public course. They keep the tee times move pretty well so there usually isnt too much backup. Some challenging holes, good for all levels.

My favorite golf course in Sacramento. Its a beautiful course, very challenging, very reasonable if you use one of the golf apps for discounts or check with the course. Very narrow for those who are use to an open course.

After having been annual members here for a number of years, I recently came back after being away for quite a while. I still think this is the best course in the greater Rocklin/Roseville area. Its not an easy course, but its beautiful and interesting. There really arent many boring flat/straight holes. Its more expensive than some of the other public courses, but thats not surprising. Since being taken over by Thunder Valley, they have improved some things, like better carts with GPS; and the clubhouse/bar remain a good place for a beer and a bite at the end of the round. Just remember to bring some extra balls if youre not a scratch golfer!

Great course - challenging but nicely maintained. Most holes have some kind of carry, Hefner chance for lost balls than many courses.

Dining views are beautiful and the food was good.

Caveat: Im very much an amateur golfer.This golf course i by far one of the best ones i have been too. From the amazing golf cart technology to the awesome service. The only thing tips i can give are that the course is very hilly so expect challenge, but also expect the most exceptional service you can imagine. oh and there is tons of wildlife all over the course which made the experience very unique compared to some other places ive been in Northern Cali.

Often quiet and underutilized, the Pyramid Bar and Grill at Whitney Oaks Golf Club offers an excellent spot for a quick date or to grab a couple cold ones even for those of those who dont golf. Relaxing environment and enjoyable scenery.

Nice course with tight fairways. There is a lot of junk in front of most greens. Few tee shot are blind carry.
