Wow! What an amazing place. It is a cable pulled wake park with beautiful blue water and fun jumps. My eight year old and my husband both got out there and tried it! They said it was a blast. We sat on chairs and watched all the amazing talent. It has beautiful scenery and the nicest people! I cannot believe this hidden gem is only a few miles away from us in Rock Hill off McConnell’s highway! I hate even sharing this review because it’s so amazing but people need to know about this place! They have a disk golf course and obstacle course in the water. Highly recommend!

I had a lots of fun it was my first time Im definitely going back... I wish I would of known about this place a while ago! I would love if they could update the equipments!

Heard about this place from coworker and HAD to go the next day..no other place like it in the area (that I know of). Took my 10 yr old son, his buds, my teenage son and the hubby who all took lessons, took a stab at the course, kayaked and played at the aqua park. Everyone had a blast (even me as a bystander)! The vibe is super chill...not stuffy or too formal. Lots of places to hang in the shade. Chairs everywhere to relax. Pet friendly. Sell snacks and drinks. Clean bathrooms. Owners and staff are VERY nice and helpful!!! Want to also share that one of the staff members heard a young man being vulgar and using profanity in front of the kids waiting in line for the course - he called him out quick, reminding him there were kids around. As parents, my husband and I were very grateful and impressed at the respect that was given to the families at the park - Kudos to that staff member (wish I knew his name)! Thank you Southtown for an awesome, fun, family friendly day - we can’t WAIT to come back!

My brother and I only found out about this wake park about a month ago. we have already visited 3 times and have brought over 10 friends already. Hope to be back before the season is over. Everyone that works there is super nice and really helpful with all my newbie friends. So glad we found out about this place.

Absolutely love this place. One of the funnest places I’ve been to to ride. The features are great and perfect to learn or progress on, but the general vibe is really what makes this place my favorite. The owners and all the staff here are all amazing. You feel right at home whether you are experienced and know what you’re doing or if you have never been on a wakeboard in your life. Would and do recommend to everyone.

I cant say enough good things about this place. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We got rained out and were able to reschedule for another day!! We loved the wakeboarding!! Cant wait to go back!! Highly recommended!! A huge thank you to Kyle for helping my girls !!

Cant say enough good things about this place. Kyle is a champ. Our son did the camp and then we have come as a family and wake boarded. They taught us how and had us up and boarding around the park the first night. One of the funnest activities we have ever done as a family! They also have kayaks and a big inflatable to play on.

My wife and I visited yesterday and had a great time riding the main cable. The facility is clean and organized and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will be frequent return visitors!

Played disc golf, nice short 9 only negative is the course needs cut. Manager apologized before we went out so Im sure that will happen soon. They also have rental disc which is cool.

Great way to learn to wake board. The floating obstacle course was a lot of fun for my son.

This is such an amazing jewel for outdoor recreation in the area. Wake park is good for kids and adults. The water park area has awesome floating obstacles for kids ages 7 and up. Staff is super friendly, go check this out!

We did the lantern launch here. It was cold and muddy but thats mother nature not them. Beautiful place

Went for my first time last weekend and loved it, just started wakeboarding last summer and this will be perfect to grow better on. Staff was absolutely amazing the whole time. Price is well worth it, two hours on cables seems to go so much further than two hours behind a boat. Can’t wait to head back down.

Well organized, plenty of help, good web site, and a lot of fun. Easy to access, great outdoor space to watch festivities and hang out. You can bring or rent everything you need (except a suit). Saturdays and Sundays are busy during the season. They want kids 7 and up on the obstacle course I think.

Went today with a small group of boys (11 and 12) and loved it! The staff and owners were amazing! We had so much fun we are planning another trip back with the husbands! Thanks for a fun day Southtown Wake Park! See you again soon!

I love it here! The staff is really encouraging and helpful to all levels of riders. Its a friendly environment.

I took 2 children and 2 teenagers last Sunday and we all had the best time. I loved talking to and hanging out with owners, Beth and Jack Ellis. This was our first time wake boarding and they both helped coach and took care of our every need. Thanks to Alex for helping my 10 year old twins at the big lake. Everyone was having so much fun we didnt want to leave. We will definitely be back. :)

I had an awesome time here! The owner was so nice and hospitable. The features were great and not too many people there. The cable operators are very happy to help you succeed if you are a beginner. I will definitely come back with all my friends! They are dog-friendly right now too :)

I went to South Town with a group of nine yesterday. There were three adults and six kids. The kids ranged in age from seven to ten. The kids and two of the adults had no wakeboard experience whatsoever. All of the beginners did the 20 minute get started pass which is only $20 and includes equipment. I would highly recommend the get started pass for anyone new to wake boarding on a park. Even if youre experienced behind a boat, its worth the $20 to have a dedicated instructor explain how to do the park. Ask for Kyle if hes available. He is an outstanding instructor and very good with children. After our lesson, we all (kids and adults) wake boarded and knee boarded for another three hours. Everybody enjoyed it. Nobody got hurt. It was just an all around great day. We had so much fun that some of us are coming back again today. Something else worth mentioning is, there were around six regulars there that were absolutely incredible; spinning, flipping, etc. It was like something youd see on tv. Even if youre not planning on participating, you can have an absolute blast just relaxing and watching the experts. Another tip is, bring food. They sell beer, but I didnt see any food. Id suggest bringing a pizza, some snacks, and water.

The park was a really cool place. The kids loved the water park course. The website leaves a little to be desired. Plus even though it is great for their business with the day camps they provide taking priority over walks ins, they were short on equipment for the general public to use. Thus we were unable to use the wakeboarding features which were the main reason for our visit. This would have been good to know prior to driving there, but they did not have enough staff to answer the phones. We hope to return at some point to try the wakeboarding.

What a great surprise to find a Cable Park in the Charlotte area. This place exceeded all my expectations! Super nice staff, everyone is very welcoming and friendly...including the cable operator. This park has effectively added a great option for a super fun day, morning or afternoon for everyone in the area. Wakeboarding in this Cable Park is super fun for every age. Therefore, this is a perfect activity to do by yourself or with the whole family. Highly recommend for everyone to try it out and perhaps find a healthy new hobby in town.

Love it. First time there and I got in less than 10 min. The staff is nice and dog friendly.

Small but fun

We live in the community and decided to visit the Wake Park on Sunday afternoon. Our 8 year old grandson had never been in a kayak and wanted to try it. He enjoyed it so much that we went back Monday. My 2 nieces and a friend enjoyed trying the beginners wakeboard. Family atmosphere and great, friendly staff. I encourage people to check the Wake Park out.

First time here and LOVED this place. Easy enough for beginners, challenging enough for advanced riders, and just a nice place to hang out for the rest of the family. Owner was super welcoming AND my son was thrilled to run into some pro wakeboarders.

This is an AWESOME place to take your kiddos for the day. Very nice family environment with employees that love to be there. Better than any other complex Ive been to. Lots of features.

My wife decided to surprise me on my birthday with a trip to SouthTown. Amazing experience. I am horrible with names, but I believe it was Parker who helped this first time wakeboarder start to shred. Okay, shred may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I had a blast, and will definitely be back. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, as were the experienced riders.

I have been there twice since the park has opened, and have become absolutely hooked on wakeboarding. Such friendly staff and coaches that are wanting to help and see you improve. Great environment to spend time in and I cant wait to be back!
