Michaels

Doing crafts? Come here. Do love theyre getting more supplies for cosplayers.

Store has lots of good stuff but it is almost always understaffed! Clerk was friendly, however the manager was very lazy and could not complete an honest price check when requested. The price tag on the shelf was clearly present and unfortunately the manager did not honor it. After the clerk clearly stated that Michaels would honor the price tag on the shelf, if it had not been changed. Loss of sale, poor customer service engagement and quite frankly a lack of integrity in the purchasing process.

Very happy with the way Michaels is handling the COVID-19 social distancing. Very efficient store curb side pick up. Was also inside the store for a few minutes and was well maintained with all associates practicing social distancing and good hygiene with masks

Even with an employees help it took me a long time to find what I needed because the store seems to be organized by craft more so than by item, so if youre looking for something commonly used across many different projects, you have to guess where itll be located. If you have some time to look around though its a great place to shop for all kinds of crafts and projects!

I always find everything I need to do crafts, and they have very good prices.

Great selection, clean. But The lines can wrap around the store and the isles can be really narrow

The prices are great! The service is also amazing! I would totally recommend this as your go to craft store!

On the Michaels app it said they had certain glitters in stock, but when we got there there wasnt any on the shelves. The Manager was willing to go check the backroom for me. A shipment had arrived and hadnt been put out yet or even sorted. He brought me several to choose from. I greatly appreciated that. So why not 5 stars you ask? Its because of the employee working in the glitter aisle. She told him they only carried one brand (actually 3) and discouraged him from looking in the backroom. The cashier was great also. I would definitely stop again if Im in the area.

Always find good deals and fun things

Great Arts and Crafts, but boy(employee) at framed department argued with me about what services they do and dont do, until he asked for a manager and then found out he was wrong...

Found what I was looking for quickly. Quick checkout.

Everyone will find something that they are looking for - from kids (that will probably want to buy some coloring books, pencils and slime kits) to adults (paint, picture frames, pens and other office supplies). This store even has birthday stuff and some baking (cakes, cupcakes) stuff. Great, nice staff.

Store checkout could not get electronic coupons to work. Store is a bit of a mess.

Good help and lots of crafting options. If you sign up for rewards or emails theres really good coupons about every two weeks. This store is fairly large.

Good supplies for all types of crafting and very friendly people.

Management is fantastic. Customer satisfaction seems to be paramount. I had an issue with a BOPUIS order and they went beyond anything I wouldve expected to make me happy. Thank you Rochester Hills Michaels!

This place always has something that my kids want to bring home. Lol. And that is a good thing because these things are not electronics. They carry professional caliber of acrylic paints and professional quality markers. These will set you back few pennies but always look for the 50% coupon that you will find weekly in you newspaper. The staff in the Rochester Hills store is always friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.

I homeschooled my kindergartener and eighth grader full time during coronavirus since Troy School Districts distance learning was pathetic and severely lacking in substance. I picked up a ton of crafts from Michaels for homeschool art class and to also keep the girls busy for hours so I could work from home. There is a pretty decent selection of wood crafts. I picked up large wooden letters to hang on the bedroom wall, smaller wooden letters to glue on plaques, and a gazebo bird feeder. I also picked up a four pack of canvas to paint and some T-shirts.Lots of different acrylic paint colors, including glittery paints, to choose from along with different fabric paints. I bought about 15 bottles of various colors.Overall, a great place to find craft supplies. Dont forget the 40% off coupon.

All I will say is FALL DECOR!!!

Nice staff but few and far between

Decent store with coupons and aales

Very well stocked and always friendly. Frequent sales and coupons help keep things affordable. Id say, stock up on things while they are on sale, just in case.

Great customer service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was surprised by the wide variety of products they offer and amazing value. The reason I went was to have my degree framed and they did a wonderful job.

Great variety of items for art and craft. Staff is also friendly. However long que for bill checkout!

Everything is way overpriced, even on sale. The place is a mess.

Have everything u need. Only issue its very messy in there.

Very cluttered and hard to move around, carts were also broken and loud

Ive always enjoyed crafting and visiting Michaels. Just starting to bring my 5 year old daughter in to introduce her to a whole new world of arts and crafts.

Sales staff were very helpful...went out of their way. They have great supplies for just about any craft. Im excited to start a solar system project for my husbands classroom.

Very dirty and not really friendly. Sorry

I can usually find what I need for a craft project here. It isnt good for sewing, but if you are into baking, jewelry, Cricut, etc. they have a decent selection i love their clearance section.

Employees wete awsome but stock was open and put back on shelf.

Everything you need for crafting.

The place is really crammed and a bit disorganized, but its got pretty much everything, and everything is mostly reasonably priced. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I am kind of bummed they ran out of the complimentary nutcrackers that come with a purchase, though.

It was a mess. Baskets full of stuff. Shelves empty. I have to say I think they are short handed. Thats what I was told at the one on John R.

Lame customer service. Ordered 20 pictures frames from there website on sale, half of them arrived broken, all I wanted to do was exchange them. They wouldn’t let me exchange them and instead wanted me to return them and purchase them again at full price.

Everyone in there was helpful and friendly. Definitely welcoming.

Staff is helpful- for the most part. The cashier is slightly rude and took FOREVER to finish my purchase. Their prices are decent but they didnt have everything I was looking for.

Great, quick and easy service

This store is in Rochester hills and is in a convenient location. The store is huge with variety of crafts and storage supplies and many more areas of arts. I got treasure boxes for my kids to use as storage. They love it. Also bought some paint supplies. The store is nicely kept. The aisles are neatly kept and not crowded. The staff is also super nice.

Michaels has such a tremendous selection of items. It is always a pleasure and treat to shop there.

Fantastic craft store, accepts Joanne coupons, great floral selection

Jenni is super friendly, helpful, and very supportive when it comes to the Michaels business! I always enjoy shopping at Michaels, especially when i have employees, like Jenni, to help with my shopping needs! I will continue to shop there :)

Laid out well, clean with friendly staff. Recommend coupons and using the companys app for discounts. Dont ever pay full price.

I went to this store in search of gift wrap and a large gift bag. I was very disappointed in the lack of selection. Just plain gift bags, and no larger ones, and no gift wrap. They used to have a much larger selection. Should have gone to Party City in the same shopping center, but I ran out of time.

Great variety of items. Friendly staff

I found exactly what I was looking for, plus they were having a sale on wonderful accessories that I took advantage of.

They have some many choices and well stocked

The store is clean, and I always find whatever I go in looking for. I dont always think their prices are very good, but I would still recommend it.

Lots of crafts and other creative supplies but in need of more cashiers.

My daughter loves it. She can find all the stuff she needs.

Quick today and the person was nice up front. The best part is they are a long standing store in an area that is really adding a lot!

Crafters paradise!

There was a long line but the two cashiers handled it quickly and politely. There was even an issue about an return with one of the customers for an item not purchased at Michaels and the clerk handled it professionally and the customer did not become upset. Even when she was denied the return.

They were very helpful and knowledgeable

Lots of craft items on sale. The equipment is the best. They have classes to help with the more complicated pieces. The Christmas prices with added discounts are great to do decorating.

It would be helpful if they had staff to help you find what you were looking for. It took me forever to find what I came in for; I had to ask other customers if they knew the store and could help me. Thats just wrong

Great deals on Christmas stuff clearance sales

I LOVE crafts! Michaels always has everything I need and more!

Had exactly what I was looking for and they had free snacks!

The store was clean & well organized but the bathroom was disgusting. Didnt find what i was looking for.

Ordered something online and forgot about it (my fault). However, never received a reminder call, not even an email. Disappointed.

Always find what Im looking for and more

Always enjoy a trip to Michaels. Whether ur a crafty person or not, youre sure to be inspired in one way or another! Allow your creative juices to flow & ENJOY! Great selection & variety, & always a sale & all coupons welcome!

Love that they have a lot of Crafts and just interested things.

The best decor for holidays and DIY decorations. Lovely floral stem options and great sales and coupons

Super pricey but always well stocked and tons available. If you go with their coupons, you can get a lot for a great price. Theres a lack of craft stores so their prices reflect lack of competition, at least at this location. Very friendly staff and cute kid activities as long as your kids are really young. Plenty of website coupons or daily deals if you know how to shop right.

Lack of stock.

Theyve cut way back on beads and other jewelry items which is the main reason I go there. Also I wish they would stock more ceramic bisque since there are no more ceramic shops around.

Did a great job of customizing my sons portrait.

If youre into any type of arts and crafts, this is a great place to get supplies. Pricing is usually reasonable and selection is quite vast.

Great custom framing services. . . the best we have worked with

Great selection of everything you need for crafts and many other items

Do not carry the ever illusive Krylon brush on paint, only the spray paints. Clean store, slightly cramped so heard to navigate with small children. No workers offered me help; however, the woman that rang us out was pleasant enough. Good sale on picture frames and canvas and a good price on chalk paint!

It is to bad that the store has eliminated all the pic selections that once was a big part of Michaels. Theres more ready-made products then there is craft materials to use to make your own.

I have been shopping at this Michaels for five years now and tonight I had the best experience there because of one of their employees, Violet. After just leaving a different store where I received very poor customer service, I was feeling pretty burnt out with my evening and being out shopping. Seeing Violet interacting with customers at the checkout, and sharing her cheerful personality with not only the family with young children in front of me, but also with me when it was my turn to have my items ringed up, made me feel so much better, and my prior poor experience at the other store all melted away. Violet is patient, kind, friendly, out-going, and such a wonderful person to serve on the Michaels team. I dont write reviews often, but this one was very deserved. I have always loved this store (especially when the Fall/Halloween seasonal items are out!), but because of Violet now I love it even more. Such a beautiful person, inside and out! And a wonderful location to stay loyal to (even though I now live 2 miles away from a different Michaels!) 5 stars all the way!

Do I like what they have to buy..Yes!! One thing I notice being a minority in this particular area is how people ignore me. I can wait in line for 20+ minutes & no one will acknowledge my presence by saying hello, Ill be right with you or ask me what I need. The moment a non minority person comes behind me they immediately open another register or then will say that they will be right with us. This happened when I visited the framing department. It wasnt until a man & women that looked totally different than I did the staff start paying attention to the line. Sad thing is I was next in line but the couple behind me were asked what they needed. Yes they started at the back of the line after I had been waiting 20+ minutes. Staff helped her & I just decided to leave. I get tired of having to address this blatant oversight.

U can NEVER FIND a Salesperson(like the big box HmDpt stores!!! U Must walk around the whole store to ask a question or to find something or go Back wait in line to ask a Cashier (like HmDpt), Customer Service needs great improvemt!! I DONT Like shopping online We Must SEE FEEL the product B4 buying!! Cant do that online+ return shipping$$cost is CRAZY, adds up!!!

The store in rochester, michigan was amazing. Had a huge selection of things. Staff were very friendly and helpful when i asked questions

Always slow cashing out. Staff is always disgruntled and unhappy. Product selection and prices are great but your visit will suck the joy from your day..

Had a 50 % off almost everything. Even the really overpriced stuff. It was definitely the day to go. They usually have everything I need for my projects unless its sold out. They are also super friendly and helpful.

Great place for crafts. Nice coupons and not bad on prices

One of the best craft and art store. They have real good supplies. They have like everything from school project stuff, baking, art needs, photo frames, etc. They have got it all. Remember to register as member and get a pretty decent discount

I almost never find what Im looking for :(

Love the selection, especially at the holidays. The prices arent too bad for the quality. However, we usually wait for one of their wonderful sales. Join the rewards program for sales and coupons mailed and emailed to you regularly. Only 4 out of 5 stars due to the employees not always being very helpful or friendly. They could work on being more observant and offering help when someone is clearly looking for something instead of keeping their heads down and hitting by like they cant be bothered. Other than that, its a great store!

They let you use coupons to buy the helium balloon kits. Michaels coupons or Jo-Ann coupons

Always fun to stroll through and see what they have.

Girls love it. Usually have what you need for school projects. Dont like Halloween stuff at all. Otherwise good.

Crafting, and buying craft supplies are two separate hobbies. Michaels provides for both.

Enjoyed your store. Good service. Brought back much to the UK

Im pretty much in love with this store. One frustration is somewhat deceptive pricing. They offer discount packs that cost more than if you go grab those items off the shelf. Also larger containers seem like a better deal but when you price out the cost per oz or similar, buying several smaller of the same is cheaper. I just keep those things in mind and make sure I price things out, and j still end up with good deals and the items I need. Overall I like the products a lot.

I love the craft stores in America. They are usually sooo much more than just the usual craft. Theres a wide range of stock within a huge variety of crafts at Michaels and making a decision on what to buy is not an easy decision!I love to find sock yarns made from 4ply washable wool so I was keen to see what Michaels had. My grandchildren are now starting to enjoy the satisfaction of making something and my daughter goes here to get them crochet hooks and knitting needles and yarn. Last year she bought them a loom and they made us hats.Great service and staff will direct you in the direction of whatever you are looking for

Always find what Im looking for and then some.

I absolutely love this Michaels location! Its always clean and the employees are very friendly. Ive been coming here since I was a little kid and easily am able to find exactly what Im looking for and more ... for a better price than any of the other craft options nearby! I highly recommend if you want a fun and clean experience!

Always amazing!

I get all my crafting supplies here.

Everything you need to complete a craft.

A LOT OF MERCHANDISE....IT ALL COMES FROM CHINA, SO IT IS CHEAPLY MADE WHICH IS REFLECTED IN THE PRICE...

Had what I needed and the service to show where it was.

Very clean store! Great deals, a definite must to shop at for that artist or crafter in your life. One of my daughters is a fulltime artist and Michaels is her go to place for supplies.
