Been coming here when I can since 2009. My only complaint is its over 700 miles away!Youre pretty much going to see several trains here. The park is amazing and serves as inspiration for other parks like it nationwide.

Great place to Railfan, watch trains go by or photograph/ film them. With 80 passing trains daily it is fun for the whole family.

Every time I get the opportunity to visit Rochelle Railroad park, I am not disappointed. Very friendly folks work for the city. Have seen firefighters, local and county Law Enforcement, municipal employees. All wonderful. Museum/gift store is great. Always clean restrooms. A big THANKS to the City of Rochelle IL for this facility!!

Definitely was interesting to stop by. Nice to watch trains pass on occasion when you find the right artist.

If you like trains and youre traveling through Northern Illinois, this is a great place to watch trains. Located just off I-39, its a short drive into Rochelle. The pavilion sits at a great height for pictures, and its perfectly situated between the BNSF & UP lines. Ample parking, though the lot does fill up on nice days.
