Just saw the last performance of The Sound of Music! 12/22/19 2pm The play was outstanding!!! The actors did a great job. Loved this performance. One of the best plays I have seen at the Mill Mountain Theatre.

Love the theatre but Matilda (playing now) was horrible. Go only if you want your children to be subject to a woman that wants to pay a doctor for her not to be pregnant anymore. A father that is mad that their kid doesnt have a thingy because its a girl. Physical and mental abuse of minors and a five-year-old that helps her teacher figure out her father didnt commit suicide but was murdered by her, in drag, headmaster who likes to throw the children in a dungeon called the choke. This was a very disturbing play and our school will think before going again to something here with the new director.

We went to see/hear Music of the 60s. The song selection was great, and the musicians did a terrific job in playing the songs. The vocals were spotty and sometimes painful to hear. The male vocalist was very talented but some songs were not a good match for his range. The female who sang in the I Got You Babe duet was clearly not a professional singer. The song At Last was a huge disappointment, as the vocals were uneven. I hope the producers will find better singers for future productions.

Perfect! Great show. Not a bad seat in the house. Convenient parking. Low cost venue for the quality of the cast. Even the sound was great. If you have any interest in live theater, go to Mill Mountain Theater!

I was thoroughly impressed with the play West Side Story. As a lifelong fan and attendee of New York Broadway shows, I have to admit that the production I saw tonight rivaled many shows in the Big Apple. The casting was phenomenal, choreography that felt like the movie, and acting that was beyond impressive. I will be back to see another show soon! I cant wait!

Attended a production of West Side Story. The actress who played Maria was stunningly talented. Not sure how they got such a performer down to Roanoke, but she is surely destined for bigger stages. Delightful energy and the voice of an angel. Be aware that the venue has steep seating. I saw an older woman fall on her backside as she tried to make her way towards an exit. Bring a sweater as well, the house can be chilly.

All around wonderful experience. When the gentleman in charged realized our large groups seats were scattered all around, he worked things out so we could all sit together. The children put on a lovely production that everyone greatly enjoyed. The sets and costuming were beautifully done.

Excellent venue: every seat has a great view and the performance was terrific.

Their summer camps are wonderful. My 8 year old loved it.

Going to a good play or musical is always a fun experience. While Mill Mountain Theatre is relatively small, its comfortable and the performances are extremely good for a regional theatre.

Mill Mountain Theater was a great experience. The cast members really take pride in their performance. Was a very great time. Highly recommended for sure.

We were sold tickets that werent great. One seat was blocked by the sound booth and their lights were distracting. Plus behind us another booth had a lot of chatter from staff. When I had purchased the seats I had been told all seats are good, but that wasnt the case. The performance was good, but I had trouble enjoying the experience.

Nice facility. More seating than i expected. Comfortable seats, limited knee room but better than broadway. Rest rooms are a bit inconvenient. Very convenient parking garage. Entrance is shared with a museum

This theater is a gem. If you get a chance to see a show, do it. Its local theater, but the productions draw regional and even national talent. Ive loved all of the shows Ive seen there.

Mill Mountain is like my second home. Its been a huge part of my life since I first moved to this area at just 11 years old. The Mill Mountain theatre community immediately welcomed me in to their family. They put on incredible shows, and they have an amazing conservatory program with awesome classes and summer camps for kindergartners through adults. Roanokes only Actors Equity Association (AEA) affiliated Professional Theatre, Mill Mountains roots extend back to the 1960s, when, in a former lodge atop Mill Mountain, it was a Summer Stock theatre. Now, MMT produces multiple Main Stage dramas, comedies, musicals, as well as edgier theatrical fare in their Fringe Series, and lots of shows with their Educational Theatre Conservatory with kids from wee age to 18 or 19! Outstanding Professional Theatre in the Star City of the South!

Went to see A Chorus Line. with my daughter and granddaughter. The theater is nice, clean and the seating was comfortable. The stadium seating makes it possible to see the performances from any seat. The play was great.

A Chorus Line was AMAZING! Professional, fun, and simply excellent. We are musical theater snobs and have seen many musicals, some numerous times (Once, Book of Mormon etc.). We were blown away by A Chorus Line @ Mill Mountain. We are going back on Thursday! Bob Capito and Bob Williams, Rockbridge Baths, Va.

Sound of Music was Awesome!!

My daughter recently attended a summer theater camp at Mill Mountain. She loved it. The staff was great; friendly, and enthusiastic. My daughter gained a lot of self-confidence and just had a really fun week! I highly recommend their summer camps/conservatory classes.

I found The Christmas Cup story disappointing. The players did an excellent job however there is not much to content.

Delightful community theatre in the heart of downtown with a good sized stage, cozy house, and quality talent and productions. A Chorus Line was above expectations!

This is a great, little theater. My wife and I love going to see shows here.

Our school watched A Christmas Story at Mill Moutain Theater. The cast was great! They were funny and never missed a beat! I highly recommend this theater for children and families.
