Absolutely beautiful location! The person collecting the park fee was extremely helpful and friendly. We were there in off season so no crowds at all. Snorkeling was not the greatest on this specific day. The sea was a bit rough. There was not a huge variety of types of fish seen but there were lots of fish!

Phil Foster is a great place to dive, snorkel, swim, spend the day with the family. High tide was over 4 feet today which is exceptionally rare! Check out the photos I posted.

FL really values their state parks and this one was no different. Snorkeling and diving are awesome here. Try near and under the bridge to feel like youre in a aquarium. Best part is that you can let the current take you and still have the same parking spot because of how their lot is structured. And they have a lifeguard to make sure the snorkelers and divers dont accidentally get in the boat channel :-)

Awesome place to come for our first ocean dive. Easy for parking, social distancing ensures we’re in place and the location felt safe to leave my car while underwater. One of my favorite sites and can’t wait to come back.

So, I heard this was a great place to walk off and dive. I went early to check it out and it was packed. So I came back the next day much earlier. It was so worth it. I only snorkeled this time. Had fun and met a few new friends.

It is our first time at Phil Foster Memorial. We felt in love with it. If you’re planing to come here, I highly recommend you to bring your snorkel gear. Also look for the high tide schedule. All the fishes that came over were so beautiful.I saw a lot of people enjoying with their family, as well some scuba divers. We saw such an abundance of fishes and sea life.I live in Orlando and I can guarantee we will be back for more!!!!PS: use lots os sun screen, make sure you apply trough out you body. As you can see on the pictures what happens if you do not use it.Enjoy!!!

Cons: Too much gasoline and oil from all the boats, very dark water, lots of litter on the beach, and the sand is kitty litter like consistency. Pros: Free parking, lots of shade from the bridge, lifeguards, very calm water, no waves, some wildlife.

Great spot for swimming and snorkeling. The artificial reef is fun and there are a lot of fish to see. The current does get strong with the change of the tide, so plan accordingly. The location is nice because of the shade provided by the bridge.

Might be the best spot to snorkel in palm beach county. Lots of different areas to explore and tons of sealife. Make sure to show up an hour before the peak of high tide for maximum water clarity or else youll be swimming through pea soup.

Great snorkeling. Go at high tide for best visibility and least current. Swim out to the perimeter of the non boater area and youll find sculptures and coral gardens with plenty of sea life. If you want to snorkel under the bridge bring a flag for safety.

Review №20

This is the view from under the bridge. They have structures below that you can snorkel to, but its gotta be sunny and high tide to have good visibility while snorkeling on top. There are always a bunch of dive and snorkel tours going on too. Not my fave in the area, but it is a major attraction bc of the structures below water. The restrooms are atrocious, do not use.

The park was really fun for snorkeling, swimming, and scuba diving! Lots of people there, when we arrived in the late morning. Water was a bit murky from a storm that passed the weekend before, so it was a little difficult to see the different animals on the ocean floor, but the experience was still great! They could do a little better at keeping the beach clear of trash from visitors.

Lovely surprise. Parking was easy to get to and water was nice. Great place to take kids to learn how to snorkle. Bring your own food and supplies; no grocery store after you get off bridge but there is a publix right before. Didnt see a whole lot of trash but bins in lot would have been a good thing.

This place is awesome for little kids, and snorkeling! Got some amazing pictures! A word to the wise, get there before 9 am....parking is VERY limited. You will want a mask and snorkel, and water shoes or fins! Definitely worth bringing an underwater camera....as you can see its beautiful there! They also allow divers, and youll see many there, but you dont need tanks. A snorkel and mask will be fine...

Pros: incredible snorkeling along a man made underwater trail, snorkeling close(ish) to the beach so less experienced swimmers can still participate.Cons: beach is meh compared to the nearby beaches such as Riviera Beach which is gorgeous, some homeless people living on the beach and under the bridge there which makes one a little worried about leaving things on the beach while snorkeling, quite a bit of garbage around, not a super well kept area.Overall, though, the park is well worth a visit if you enjoy snorkeling.

We stopped here for an afternoon to do some snorkeling on our way north. It has a small beach area, with pretty views of the harbor and hotels. We planned to dive BHB as an afterthought while staying in the area, but after our boat dives were cancelled, we did two days of BHB diving and we LOVED IT! This place really is a national treasure, as it is free to dive and has both a large wealth of macro and megafauna.Right from the get-go we started seeing amazing creatures in the sandy bottom: juvenile angelfish, pufferfish, triggerfish, and spotted drums, beautifully colored sea slugs, Decorator crabs, arrow crabs, coral shrimp, pipefish, sharpnose eel, moray eel, Comb and Moon jellies, many types of worms, blennies galore, garden eels, stingray, toadfish, lizardfish/stargazers, scorpionfish, nudibranch, as well as a host of other life that I have never seen before and don’t know how to categorize. Oh yeah...we also got a pleasant manatee flyby!
