Beautiful waterfall and awesome trail & park to walk on along the river! Nice to visit anytime of the year! Its truly breathtaking! I highly recommend it, be sure and check it out!

We have been coming here for years we really love pulling the boat up if it gets late in the summer you cant quite make it to shore it gets very very shallow but its just as easy to anchor offshore I like to do a bow and stern anchor. Had a lot of fun flying the drone around.

Always love going to state parks in general! This location in particular Ive noticed dog owners deliberately disobeying the many signs posted for no dogs on the beach. Quite frequently dog owners let their friends go without leashes to sometimes wreak havoc on the poor visitors on the beach with children or who go there hoping to not step in puppy bombs. I wish they would be a little more strict about this on their beach. Otherwise, the trails are well groomed and marked and the picnic areas are maintained well.

Essentially just a walk in the woods with a couple nice views blocked out by trees. Nice if you live in the area, but definitely wouldnt recommend going out of your way for this one!

This park has a large beach which is a great for spending a day by the rivers. The water temperature of both rivers is drastically different so it is fun to bring the kids and have them experience this. The way to the beach from parking is very steep, so if you are planning a BBQ by the beach best to travel light or you will burn all the calories on your way back up to the parking.

Very good view took my kids there went swimming and had a great time would be an excellent place to have a picnic ️

It’s ok... not much to see. Definitely not worth 11 dollars to park. Don’t go during deer hunting season, lots of people are there to hunt.

Beach is great. Trails are beautifully mapped and all are connected so you can keep waking for long time. All you need is water and you can spend all day walking and exploring this green park.

Nice little park with some well shaded trails. Only a few of the trails didnt have tree cover(green and yellow). I wasnt able to try out the red trail but apparently it is single track which is exciting. Beach area for swimming was pleasant and not crowded(at least compared to the crowds youd see at willow creek)

We stopped over at this State Park for this first time last Saturday. It was a beautiful day outside. Our goal was to take our 10 month old hiking on a few trails, work up a sweat and then head down to the beach. We hiked about 1.5 miles, trails were all flat ground and easy hiking. The mosquitos and some deer flies were bad and of course we forgot the bug spray - that was our fault! The beach was nice and not very crowded. On the walk back to the parking lot we may have figured out why - although the path to/from the beach is paved, it is very steep! Packaccordingly. I assumed we could buy a day pass however that wasnt an option at all. The only option was a non-resident annual pass or dont use the park. We grabbed an annual for $38 and I hope we make it to a few more WI State Parks to justify the cost.

The side entrance is absolutely gorgeous. Youll hike through the prairie, woods, by the river...

Really enjoy the trails in the winter, but they don’t spray for bugs and the ecology of the area means they are really bad in the summer. I stopped my hike a few miles short just because of the bugs last summer. Definitely recommend for hills in the winter and the waterfront area is great. Just be ready for bugs in the summer in the upper trails.

This State Park is wonderful! The grounds are well maintained and there are so many great areas to explore. The trails have so many options to suit everyones needs.

Would recommend the hidden waterfall trail, definitely worth the not state park approved walk down.

Great hiking trails and little foot traffic. The park is awesome to explore in all seasons except summer. The mosquito control is terrible.

Quite a nice and fine park. Waded down the river and found a fine sandy beach island. Dog was happy, had a great day and made a memory. I cant wait to bring my son there. Lots of cool rocks around the river!

Had a beautiful winter hike here...my first time here. I went on a Tuesday and had the whole park to myself...I will definitely be back when the weathers nicer to check out the beautiful beach.This park has an amazing scenic overlook of the river valley and its just steps away from the parking lot...very accessible.The day I went trails were very icy, so I didnt do too much exploring. Walked out on the ice a bit and watched the eagles fish. Had an awsome day here, I will return.

We went to visit for the day and there was an attendant but they were not fulfilling park passes (covid related, I get it) and was directed to a website where we could only purchase a full-year pass. We turned around and left. Didnt want to pay $35 to have a 3 hour picnic.

Fun, secluded, beautiful. Raw nature if you will haha. I love all the state parks in the area.

This is a great park but so ineptly run by the Scott Walker resume regime. There are no services provided here, no camping and its minimally maintained. Its a shame because its such a beautiful park.

Beautiful state park off the beaten path. Nice, fairly easy hiking trails that pass through both woods and along a large prairie. If youre looking for less of an easy hike, many of the different trails all connect to make for a longer hike.

Winter visit to Hidden Falls trail at Kinnickinnic State Park. Parking off of 770th Ave was easy to find. The 2.6 mile trail was easy even with snow and clearly marked. Directional markers guide you along the mostly flat one-way path that circles the field bordering the river from above and through the trees overlooking the bluffs above a series of waterfalls.

Very steep hike down to the beach. Beach area is pretty buggy. Water is nice.. pretty views of the river .. definitely more flooded this year. Bring your bug spray and good walking shoes.

There is a narrow channel on the St. Croix that you can beach your boat and spend the day on shore. Lots of boat traffic however.
