Its nice I like it but its not the greatest historical landmark is a few houses that I enjoy passing by. I even sat on the steps and hung out there which is pleasant but Ive been to much cooler historical sites like gettysburg pa or williamsburg va.. I guess you might not be comparing this to other spots like that but I have to for this review. Theres no tour guides or interior tours. Ive heard rumors of a museum but I dont think any time Ive gone there its been open. Just a couple of nice quaint and historical buildings. If thats all your expecting than five stars but I dont want to give you the impression that this is some great fantastic experience. Its ok. If you live nearby or your in the area, sure check it out but i mean is it worth a trip? Probably not.
Great scene, great architecture, and a great place to enjoy some local and national history.
So Full of History and You feel like you have gone back in time
Its our history and the area is very serene
Excellent place to have lunch, bring your lunch, a chair and bird watch
This place has a wonderful history and so much to learn. The area is absolutely beautiful. Easy to walk and has tours and events there.
Great piece of history here. My aunt took me here when i was a kid and i loved it. I just wish i knew when they are open.
Such a condensed area of history! Interesting to see! Fishing is accessible here, too!
Peaceful & quiet place
Great place to take photos
Peaceful, historic and beautiful views. On the banks of the Hackensack river. However. not much to do except for a rather short and pleasant stroll around the old buildings. You cant go in any of them except when they hold special events. No facilities. Parking on the street but quite limited. The area is open dawn to dusk. (Although I dont know how they would enforce that as theres no one around.)
Went to the old time ballgame and went on a tour of the property. Fantastic history.
We mainly go here for the Pokemon hunting but its a lovely picturesque little spot.
Its a quiet place amongst the bustling streets of Hackensack. It transports you to a world in the past. Many locals probably do not know or care much to visit such a site but it definitely is worth a quick moment. 30 minutes and you will find your moment of Zen whether sitting on the wooden benches or hanging your foot off the bridge over the Hackensack River.
An absolute great place to relax with your boo, family or yourself. No smoking or alcohol. But still enjoy.
Nice to walk around; small property. Closed except for Events (event brochure available for pickup onsite and also Online).
The Bridge that saved a Nation. Check it out on line and visit when the opportunity presents itself. All volunteer but extraordinarily informed, enthusiastic and welcoming.
If you love history and want to learn about Washington and other generals that walked and fought in bergen county than you need to stop here
Always fascinated with Revolutionary War since grade school. Growing up in Bergen County helped. The retreat and the access the Hackensack river gave - make this a cant miss stop.
One of the most pivotal and important places in American history! Well worth the visit. Go, and take the kids!
Step back in time and enjoy a piece of living history. Wonderful place to visit with knowledgeable people to complete the story.
Gives you a sense of history
Exciting place - they have something going on almost every Sunday and they need volunteers
Interesting place to learn about NJ during the American War of Independence. Nice quick day trip spot.
I needed that serenity and peace of mind just nature around me without the city chaos! ️
Theres lots of history all in one location. You can almost feel like you were a part of it.
There is no designated parking area, just a lot of no parking signs.
Took my father in law, a war buff, to see New Bridge Landing He loved it
