Super backed up but staff being courteous and doing what they can to get people golfing. Like most courses in California, water would make it much nicer.

I have played at Jack Tone a couple times, and they have been unprofessional every time. If you make reservations for a golf cart be prepared to not get one. My last two visits I was told they over booked. My last visit the manager said that if I walk he will run out a golf cart to me and my friends. Well, He never ran a cart to us, and we see 5 carts come out behind us, so we call and they promise to have one waiting for us after the 9th hole. When we come around we see another person take off in a golf cart and he tells us we have to wait for one. They just keep going back and forth, lied to us about running it out to us. We got upset and he said go to the 10th hole and he will run it out to us again. We then decided to not play the back 9. Asked for a refund and the made the refund process very hard said they are still charging us a certain rate, at that point we just decided they will not get our service anymore. Honestly there were four other groups complaining about golf carts. This place is very unorganized, and the manger will lie and tell you what you want to hear. Be careful making reservations here.

Nice 18 hole course with mainly par 3 and 4s (hole 12 is the only par 5). The course conditions were pretty good. I only recall one green that was a little dried out (because I had to put through it), but the fairways were nice and the course overall is pretty forgiving. The driving range is natural grass and was pretty chewed up but had a lot of good targets to aim for. Overall, for the price Id say theres good value here. Id definitely return.

Course was nice and usually is, but the owner came out to talk to me as I was about to tee off on the first hole. He told me that since my wife was walking the course with me, (learning the game) that I had to pay an additional fee for her to do that. He then asked to keep my card on file so next time he could just charge me. Seemed ridiculous to me. I have golfed here before and never had to do this. I also am a Ripon resident and have been really enjoying this course up until this point. I guess I will have to leave town to golf from now on.

Great time playing! Very concerned no masks in club house. Shows disrespect in taking health issues seriously. This is not a national political issue, but an issue of doing unto others as you would have done unto you.If youre customers are so important to you

It is a fine enough course. It is short, so if you need work with your wedges go there. If I want to get a quick round in it is easily done here. Staff is friendly.I do have a couple of issues that trouble me. There aren’t kid prices. My six year old loves golf and wants to play with me every time I go. I would like to have him go more often. It seems a little ridiculous to pay the adult price for a six year old, really $22 for a six year old. It seems that as a good business strategy kids play for free or a nominal price. It would get them interested in the game of golf and become future clients as they age. Speaking for me I know I would go more often because I could bring my son along. I hear the argument well kids will damage the ground and the greens, but maybe it is just my experience but I take and make more divots and spike marks than my kids. Also, prices went up $2 this year. I could go to surrounding courses and pay a couple more bucks and play a 71 par course. This is something that keeps me from playing more often.

This is a great course for beginners and for those wanting to keep up their swing in between visiting larger, fancier courses further away. The grounds are well maintained. The grass may not be as green as years past due to the drought, but it is always beautiful walking this course. Nature is always out in abundance. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The pricing is fantastic.

Short par 3 course with a few par 4 holes. Greens arent the best but definitely playable. Never have to wait really unless there is a tournament. Good range. Great staff!

It is a small course. It is one where if you like to hit the long ball, it may not be the course for you. But good for beginners because it is open and the greens are not to difficult. There are many Par 3s that can make your scorecard look nice. The employees are friendly. Overall not a bad course.

UPDATE!!I had previously posted a critical review but recent changes at the course prompted this edit.We heard Jacktone Golf had made improvements so we decided to give it a try again. There has been a HUGE IMPROVEMENT in the course. The brush is cleared, the fairways are mowed, certain trees removed, and last but not least, the greens are now in really good shape. The bare spots on the greens are a thing of the past and they are now being regularly maintained. Also, the middle-aged guy at the desk who gave us grief appears to be gone and the cordial young ladies have returned. As for the fees, perhaps we confused a twilight rate with regular play. All is forgiven. I now highly recommend Jacktone Golf for a quick, fun course to sharpen your short iron skills.
