Great facility. It has an ice skating rink thats open to the public at certain times. They also have hockey and synchronized ice skating. I saw an indoor basketball-court and a weight lofting area. Well stocked snack bar. My kids got a kick out of the frozen pickle shot which was frozen pickle juice. Nice place. We’ll be back.

My kids always enjoy going ice skating. The staff is always great and helpful. The instructors are always patient and encouraging too. A couple of my kids have special needs (and can be quite difficult at times), and thats never deterred the instructors from teaching my kids and making them smile in the end.

Its nice that they have ice rink but the ice is extremely rough and not fun to skate on. The ice is so rough I stopped ice skating and switched to roller skating at the local rink. I hope they take the time during the recent shut down to completely redo their ice rink.

Your basketball fee and the lack of communication from your staff with the potential limited time to play is very unprofessional. My son and his college friends were playing basketball at least twice a week in your facility for several months and like clockwork, the group (15) of boys were asked to stop playing due to the courts being reserved for practice. Your staff neglected to communicate that the courts were not going to be available during certain times. 90% of the times the boys were asked to leave approximately 30 min after paying to enter and expecting some level of ethical business practice. My son brought it to the attention of the staff several times stating that it isnt right for the money to be collected and then asked to leave withing 30 min to an hour after beginning to play. Something needs to change with your policies or training for the staff to clearly understand how to ethically run a business so its fair to evetyone.

The kids had a great time, the party area needs some updating, it was freezing in there, but they brought us a space heater. All in all it was nice.

Huge facility and its very nice looking. Staff was helpful. Parking was fine and location is in a seemingly nice neighborhood.

Went ice skating. The skates need better attention. Missing multiple cleats for the laces. Unacceptable when you need to be tight on the ankles. The ice could use a zamboni treatment. It was a little rough. Granted, it was a Friday night, but still. Will probably go back as it is close to home.

I was last here about a year ago or so at the ICE RINK. The rental skates were extremely old and mistreated, had to go back 3 times to get a new pair of skates that were the same size. Staff were extremely friendly and despite the outdated building it was pretty nice. The ice was bumpy (probably from hockey skates) and could use the Zamboni every now and then. I like the prices, not too high. I will come back soon as I still need to practice every so often. Unfortunately, there were several young children (5-7 years of age) who were extremely rambunctious and there was little-none supervision of the area.

Pretty good place to ice skate. Reasonably priced, rental skates could be sharper to provide better experience for those that know how to skate well but dont have own skates.

Had a great time here with my family. Took my son for his birthday he got to ice skate, go into batting cage, and played some basketball. Well kept. Staff was very helpful and nice. Only thing is the assisted ice skating crutch for toddlers where all broken wish they had some better ones for my little girl . Other than that the place was great !

I wish they would bring back a dance teen night ! A safe place for our children to have fun on the weekends.. it was great when I was a kid we really looked forward to the weekends .. now our children lack a place like that .. please bring back a dance night our children need a positive place to get together and unwind !

The staff was quite kind, yet was very quickly ovewhelmed by the number of customers. The skating itself was very enjoyable, with beautiful lights and pleasant music. Ome of the downsides was the quality of the rented skates. Many of them were missing eyelets for the laces making it difficult to lace in proper and safe way.

Has batting cages, ice rink, Irish dancing, circuit training, weight room and Zumba nice place to check out. Staff very nice

Had an ice skating party here and it was not even close to being worth half of what they charge. Staff was nice and friendly, the facility was good, which is why they got 2 stars. The dollar store plates and cups, reused table covers and over priced small pizzas are why they didnt get any more stars. Youre better off paying for the skaters and then head to Dions for pizza on your own.

Ice skating is really fun here! The only problem a is that their is too much ice marks! Really you should be clearing the ice during lunch hour

One of the only places to ice skate in the greater Albuquerque area and they still stay competitive and well serviced.

I had no idea this place was so big and had so much to offer. My kids enjoyed the free hockey day and we all want to come back to explore some of the other things they have to do, like a basketball area.

Not the old and ugly Blades. But the new and better MAC. Brand new skating ice, sound system, arena lighting, insulation, and staff. Under new and enthusiastic management.The ice was very good; fast and soft, excellent for deep edges and ice dancing : )Give the MAC a try!!!!

The younger staff is very polite. Some of the older staff is very rude and unfriendly. They are in such a hurry to get out, they started to kick us out before 10. I’ve had great experiences prior to these last 3 times I’ve been there.I would recommend going elsewhere. And the pricing is outrageous. Don’t waste your time or money going there.

The people there are very nice! My favorite place to broadcast a hockey game away from home!

Like the place and my grandsons enjoy playing basketball. Saw 1st indoor soccer game watched my granddaughter play but too many ppl n not enough room to sit.

Amazing staff who are always super helpful. We do a lot on the ice. The ice is perfect, not to hard, not to soft. Its got a community sports arena feeling. If you havent checked them out, you are missing a treasure.

Very nice inside, would love to enjoy it more BUT WAY TO EXPENSIVE. $7.50 per person including little kids for drop in to play basketball? To play for an hour or so thats so not worth it. Wish we could enjoy the place but we will play basketball at the park where its free.

This place has really improved since it became the Mac! While its still not great, they are moving in the right direction! Excited for the future! The bathrooms and ice rink seating area could be cleaner. I think that will be taken care of soon though! It will be great!

I come here for the gym and it has everything I need. Works just right for me!

The MAC MacDermott Athletic Center is convenient facility for athlete. I use their gym machines for core and strength workout. I wish they also offer classes like yoga, performance training or dance so it would entice more athletes to come and visit their facility.

Great place and much needed for Rio Rancho. Batting cages have L screens, balls and machines if you want them. You can open cages up and do fielding work as well.

The MAC is awesome! Great place to train for baseball players, hockey players, figure skating, basketball, and weight lifting.

The ice and lights were cool but the gentle skates hurt bad if I wasnt moving.

I play hockey at the Mac for the NM Warriors and all the staff there are so nice and awesome!!! I also love playing basketball there!!! Just one thing I think the bathrooms can be a bit cleaner!

I love skating here and all of the instructors have so much patience and knowledge about what they are doing so you should definitely come and skate here.

New owners are great! They have done some amazing updates! I hear there are more to come!

We were so excited to take our daughter in for ice skating classes, My husband did some research and found this place for classes for 3 yr olds and up. Our experience was HORRIBLE, the instructors dont have the patience/knowledge to teach kids this young, a lady named Michelle, I believe she is the coordinator was advising the instructors what to do, and it helped a little with the third session.For the second session, One of the instructors;Claire, was flustered with my daughter 20mins into her session (the sessions are 30 min long), well she just cut her session short brought her out to me and said, to my 3 year old: your session is over and walked away!!!! No comunication with the parents at all. Shows that not everybody should be an instructor.This program was an 8 session program and when we went for our 4th session they told us they couldnt do it, they didnt have the instructors. The good thing is that they reimbursed our money for the seessions we had left, my advice is wait until your kids are at least 4 years old, they need to change the age limit for this class, we just moved to the area and were completely disappointed with this experience. As an FYI, My daughter took soccer and swimming lessons earlier this year and did great, but the instructors also were at a whole different level. Find a different place for your kiddos.

I spoke with Steve and was really pleased with how kind and willing to work with me he was. He answered all of my questions and made sure I didnt register incorrectly.
