Lots of people out and about. Trails were nicely defined but some trails were not in the map

Very large state park with several gorgeous trails. There are trails going around the perimeter of the lake as well. You can easily spend several hours hiking some of the trails here because of how long they are.

Lots of loose rocks on the trails. Had to watch my foot placement most of the time for otherwise nice trails.

Great hiking trails through the woods and around a large pond. Some of the trails even connect up with the Ives Trail.

Kinda boring for mountain biking. Very buggy since its swampy.

Bennetts pond itself is a beautiful spot. BUT... The trails are overgrown in the summer so where bug spray to protect from ticks though its not impossible... I would recommend hemlock hills which is 5 minutes away instead. The trails are wide open there. There is no undergrowth there at all I dont know why.

This park is one of several entrances to a huge trail network. From this, as with a few of the others, there are options for short 1-3 mile loops or much longer. You could also do a nice point to point on the Ives Trail which goes right through here. Dont forget to bring your favorite insect repellents

Some really nice spots but also close to (and with some views of) a major noisy road. One trail (the Ives Trail?) seems to go near an outdoor shooting range which was a little scary (and loud.) I found out later that that trail goes really far! The main path to the pond was wet, muddy and rocky so sturdy waterproof boots are a must. I sprayed myself head to toe with DEET and still had a deer tick on me when I got home, and it was January! Granted it was a warm day, but you cant walk down the main path without constantly brushing against some tall underbrush for almost for a 1/4 mile. This needs to be cut way back. Posted URLs for map downloads dont seem to work and no trail maps available.

Be sure to wear pants since parts of the trails are pretty overgrown. Nice little loop through woods and couple of small fields.

Horrible ride! Thorns everywhere, narrow lose gravel paths. There was one section of woods which was great then to an overgrown field where you could barely see the trail, which had random washout dips, and continuously get stuck in the overgrown grass. Will never ride here again.
