Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Be wary of fellow shooters who do not listen to the ranger and do their own thing. I noticed about 4 people mishandling their weapons but the ranger was quick to reprimand them.

Its a nice place to walk. Just wear long white socks. They allow dogs to walk here. You can walk for awhile before the trial ends. My brother found a frog, my dog loves to see frogs hop. If you like to see frogs, this place is great for you.

Brookhaven park is great for us (with kids) because we can bring the stroller. Love that there are different trails and the map tells you how long it takes to walk them.

Great hiking escape from the stress of life.

We visited the park last weekend with a family of friends and we had the most unpleasant experience with the ticks. The situation is clearly out of control in this area. All 10 of us have been bitten at least 10 times!The woods might be quiet and beautiful, your hike will not be.The park should be closed during peak season.

One of my favorite places. the park is very quiet, calm. and very beautiful. Especially in the fall.

Good soft flat trail for jogging, took my dog and went on a nice 6 mile run, near a gun range, you could hear shots in the background but area clearly marked where its not a hunting zone. Three different trails and one 3 mile foot path hike running north thru south of the park

Confusing, if youre trying to find firemens memorial field. Especially with the large skeet sign. But it was an okay place to see a game while hearing gunfire nearby. Reminded me of Los Angeles.

The trails are long and straight with little change of scenery. Good for jogging or riding your horse but kind of uninteresting after 30 mins or so of walking. But the sounds of the nearby gun range made it very uncomfortable for me. I go to the park to enjoy the sounds of nature, not the sounds of artillery.

Great park but far bathrooms

It was my 1st-time visit. I took a walk on a hiking trail loop, about 40 min. It was just myself for the whole time. The air smelled Incredibly refreshing after a thunderstorm. This place offers a lot of solitude in the central core of the Long island Pine Barrens. I didnt see any other facilities besides a mobile restroom in the parking lot.

Great place for easy hiking. Directional arrows on the trees shows the path that you should stay on so you dont get lost. Near the south you can get close to lake panamoka with a gorgeous view of the lake. Frogs all over during the time we visited which was in June.

Its great to be outside and enjoy the day. There are trails and lots of room to run the dogs. My experience is it is safe, spacious and parking is free. Always a great experience.

Amazing local park, always bring my family here and have a great time. Good people around you and newer playground and sports fields.

Station puller was excellent. Rainy day but he stood out there with us. Brookhaven is a local gem, and if you like clay target games then you should come along and enjoy the facility. Ample parking, friendly staff and a good mix of shotgun, pistol and rifle positions. The bathrooms are so so, fair warning.

This place is a good choice if you want to hike in the pine barrens. There are multiple entrances and lots of parking avaible. The trails are nice and wide and look great with all the pine trees. They are sandy however. I think its great in colder weather as the pines stay green all year and there are less bugs. Otherwise bug spray and other precautions are a good idea to avoid ticks and mosquitoes which are common on Long Island.

Everything for a nice relaxing outdoor time.Picnics, fishing. Etc.

Honestly charging 7.00 dollars to walk in the park a bit ridiculous!

Plenty of parking. Signage is easy to understand. Bikes, dogs, horses and groups use the park. I love the multiple types of paths for biking and they are well maintained. If you are a black diamond and up rider, you may be disappointed here. You can put a lot of miles in on whatever activity you are there for. Lots of warnings about ticks.

Very relaxing and enjoyable to walk around. If you dont like dogs dont go.

Closes at 3:30pm when Sun down is not till 7 pm. Attendant was swift to kick me out of the parking lot while I was just trying to read the sign. How can you close a park at 3:30 in the afternoon?

Town of Brookhaven is horrible, they treat us home owners terrible.. They are out to hurt us. We pay taxes. And they control what we can &cannot use.. And what sad is that we the people sit there and let them get away with thing.. We dont stick together as a unite. It saddens my heart. I wish we all can United and stand up to Brookhaven the thieves

Great park, spent a lot of time there as a kid. Real name of the park is south haven. Only bad thing about the park is that theres a trap range right next to it so the animals tend to a be scared away

I wouldnt want to go there with my family. Its over run with mosquitos and with West Nile running big on Long Island i wouldnt suggest anyone camp, fish, recreation there. Youve been warned.
