For my first visit it was interesting. You have to give them one shoe which I found funny. Lol, You can tell this place need alot of renovation from the outside in. They do check everyone temperature and try their best to organize the lines with cash or credit. I didnt have to much interaction with thw employees but the moments I did, I found them to be polite and helpful. At one point my son when to the restroom and me being the Mamabear that I am I gave him 2 mins after that I went look and couldnt find him. I went to the DJ booth and he was very helpful in assisting me. My baby was found safe skating like everyone else. This place is not for the faint of heart if you are use to certain surroundings BUT for the community that its in, it is definitely a staple to them. I watch the kids, young and old. Walk in dress to impress and skate their hearts out. It gets a little crowded and once youre on the floor, you dont have to wear a mask but you can if you want. The one thing I would suggest is to have diet options for people with people with health challenges. My son only option was water. No diet drink of any kind and I like him to feel like everyone else and you cant being outside food or drinks so its something they need fix. Outside of that, if you can step out your comfort zone and enjoy life than you will have fun.

Fun for the family if you like skating. If you are someone who goes out often (like my family does) Sundays are $2 admission with the donation of a canned good for each person plus skates. So for about $5 per person you can make a day of it.

Good place to roll, the DJs on wed night are good . However the floor is terrible to skate on,but the people and atmosphere make the experience a good night to roll.

Dirty environment, poor service, poor customer service and the building needs to be shut down. I seen ants in the food area and they want you to give them one shoe in order to get a pair of skate rentals. Ive never been to a skate ring where I had to give one of my shoes. Its not worth it.

Come here all the time, my daughter loves skating here. So much so, she had a birthday party here once. Prices on refreshments arent the best but its a great place to bring the kids and have fun. Dance, play and get a workout.

My husband and I came Sunday had an awesome time great music great people!!! My husband is a nice skater and he loves the way everyone grooves!!! Place is jamming!!! Floor needs to be redone but other than that we lived it!!! Music is funky and we live funky!!!

I brought my kid here for a birthday party. The staff seemed uninterested in providing a high level of service or enjoyment for the kids. The girl who got the roller skates was rude and unhelpful. My child said the pizza was gross. The carpet was falling apart. The walls are falling apart. There are holes in the floor. My child had a great time actually roller skating but the conditions of the building are terrible.

I visited this rink last summer, but never got around to posting a review. I am an experienced skater and have visited many rinks around the country. The only good thing about this rink was the floor; it is wood, wide, big and smooth. I went on a Wednesday night, which was for adults. The lockers eat your money, so use at your own risk; the key will not come out of the lock. The DJ was the worse I had ever heard in all of my years of skating. He was stuck in the 70s or 80s or something old and it was not the best of the 70s or 80s. He clearly is not skilled on how to move the crowd and does not listen to the patrons.Fortunately, I learned to bring my own music when I go skating. That was the only thing that saved the night for me. I forced myself to stay for at least an hour. However, I could not take anymore of my music blasting in my ears, which was the only way I could drown out the horrible music selection the DJ was playing. I did not use the restrooms, so I cannot comment on them. When I finally get around to driving all the way to this rink, very disappointed in this experience.

Last visit was unfortunately was during some of the super hot days (thought it might be good to visit being inside). We got there and they had signs up informing everyone about the rink being hot because of the temperature outside. Definitely appreciated the heads up, but my friend was from out of town and the activity was planned ahead. With that we went for it definitely recommend keeping that in mind during the hot months.

My family and I had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it wasnt a good first experience for my 7 yr old. My daughter came to me complaining about something in her skate. I took the skate off and shook it. Took her sock off, then put them back on her foot. She told me it was still there. So we took uncovered her foot to discover she had a small thin piece of metal in her foot. OMG! The skates that she was given had no cover on the bottom. The metal piece was at the same area that the nail is on the skate. Thank God it was long enough for me to remove with my fingernails. They gave us a piece of tissue with alcohol to rub the area, replaced the skates and my baby went back to skating. Moral of the story is to please always check your skates before you put your feet in.

I LOVE ROLLERDOME!! Brings back such great memories as a kid. I love how festive this rink is and how the owners are fantastic people! Thank you for everything you do for our community!

Dirty floors where they sell food... leaking water fountain. .. guess a family is running it who children are unprofessional.. they were interrupting the cashier while she was taking my order. The cashier seemed like she wasn’t trained.. ran my card multiple times stating it was declined. Notified the manager.. she seemed like she didn’t care About my complaints. .. they have a no refund sign .. I see why..

Live coming here with kids skate free because of the vibe, music, atmosphere. There’s plenty of parking and space to sit and put your stuff at. This is the spot to go specially because of the variety of music played. Different variety of crowd that it brings.

What a wonderful experience! Shane is the consummate host who goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a fun and safe experience. Always willing to give a hand to a struggling new skater with a smile. Staff is helpful and friendly. Clean and wonderfully decorated, and great music. Definitely will be going again!

The skating floor is the largest and highest quality in the Richmond area but needs to be replaced. Because of the floors age and condition, I wouldnt visit regularly.

I absolutely loved it!!! I grew up in NJ and skating is our thing!!! I’ve been in Richmond a little over 3 years and have been dying to find a roller rink. The environment was awesome, the music was great, and the kids and I loved it. Not to mention, they have some really comfortable skates and the skates are true to size. As soon as I stepped in it reminded me of the rinks back home. I’m a 90s baby (1991) and this brought me back to my preteen years. Very nostalgic. I will be visiting again. Most likely weekly or biweekly. It was so fun.

The place is a little dated, but the staff was very polite. They played good music without cursing from 7:30pm till 9:30pm when we left. This was a plus since my 5 & 7 year old children were there. Lots of other children there having fun. We really enjoyed time.

I was trying to have an overall great experience, seeing as it was my first time roller skating, but these two employees would not stop zooming past me so close they almost hit me, to the point where I could feel the air coming off of them it kept making me stumble and fall because they got way too close. I tried to enjoy my night, I really did, but they really ruined the whole experience for me

Sundays offers a good family friendly setting to enjoy skating and old school music.

It was a nice place, but a little dated. The music was extremely loud close on the rink, but fine around the rink. The check in process was really slow, so the line was out the door. Prices were very reasonable. Renting skates and returning skates took a little while, and you have to check a shoe as collateral.

Best place to skate in the city. Get involved with one of the rad skate sports available. Everyone here is amazing.

Its so so. A cup of water is nuts to pay a dollar for. Its very hot . arcade out of date alot do no work. They should be at least taped where money goes so kids dont waste there money.. Also amount of tickets are nuts for prizes for kids

This is a great affordable activity! The Sunday afternoon session is 2 bucks with a canned good. It can get a bit crowded but the old school skate music is on point. They have lockers available to rent with quarters (50 cents to close the locker).

We love coming here. It was really crowded. The floor was bumpy on one part. Otherwise, this place was great. They played good music and the staff was very friendly and there was always someone wherever and whenever I needed them.

Fun place. Great atmosphere. However, all they use to sanitize skates is lysol spray. Kind of gross, skates smell terrible.

Love the space/music! I dont think there is anyone in charge of communications since I havent received a message back from any email/voicemails but if you dont need to talk to anyone, its a great spot.

This place is amazing. I go about once a week to skate here. The vibes are awesome, its the kind of rink to strap your quads on and vibe. If going fast on inlines is your thing that can happen too.The skill level of some of the regulars here are amazing. The crowd as a whole is a lot more proficient at skating than the crowd at another rink across town, so the bigger floor is definitely more enjoyable. The music is always on point, the staff is attentive. The menu at the snack bar is reasonably priced.The owner, Tony, is always there everytime we go. Hes personable, approachable and attentive. Its a small local business that is apparent that he takes pride in.As 20 something adults, my partner and I like to head on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, its a popular spot for kids on the weekend nights and we like a little more floor. You come here to be happy and its guaranteed to be a good time.

I had a blast at Roller Done this past weekend. I started skating yesterday and must say I enjoyed myself. The floor was a little bumpy in places, but overall I feel like my first time on skates in many years, was productive and fun. April was an awesome instructor and the staff took great care of me. Really enjoy bringing my girls to the skating rink, especially on Sundays its never over packed n they play All the throw backs. Just bring back so many memories of my own child hood.

Just left roller dome. My first time. I didnt skate so this review isnt about the facility-which seems decent. Its concerning the DJ.SPEECHLESS.His name is DJ Shane and he has to be one of the best in Richmond. Ive been to a few lounges in the city and have yet hear VARIETY of throwback songs from my era . Ole school 90s . This guy had me dancing from the time I entered until the time I got home. Im shock the place wasnt packed based on his skills alone. I will spread the word to friends. Hats off to you sir. AMAZING .

Not happy with our visit at all came with 4 kids but only the 2 older kids got to skate. They didnt have kiddie skates that fit my 3yr old and only rent out the skate asst walker to certain customers, so that was wasted money for my 3yr old and 4yr old they didnt get to do anything. Then the arcade machines kept taking everyones money or just not working properly. I wouldnt recommend this place for children that havent learned to skate yet.
