Very affordable unlike many gymnastics facilities, coaches are friendly and communicate well with both the students and the parents, plus the scheduling is beyond flexible! Definitely glad we found them!
My 8 year daughter has been attending Fun & Fitness for almost 2 years. The experience and interaction with the staff has been positive from the beginning. She is shy, but the trainers take a real interest in each of the kids and make them feel comfortable and welcomed. The coaches moved her up as soon as she was ready and kept her challenged and engaged. I can see the difference in her confidence since attending Fun & Fitness. My 4 year old started attending 1 year ago and looks forward to his class every week. The class has been a great way for him to follow instructions and also be challenged in an environment outside of his preschool. The coaches are great! Always so positive with the children. The front desk staff is even better! Always so helpful and accommodating and they are a bright spot of my day when we first walk in. I spoke to them this week about their re-opening after the pandemic and my children are so excited to begin class again!
We had our daughter’s birthday there and all the kids had such a great time!! The coaches and staff were awesome and very helpful! I’m just giving 4 stars because I had emailed them about the number of guests that was going to be around 30 but when we arrived for setup, the tables & chairs were setup for 15 guests and the space was much smaller because the curtain was closed to the other side. However they were pretty fast to add more chairs & tables! Thank you all!
My kids were not in competitive. They couldnt keep my son, 5 yo, attention for more than 1 year. My daughter has been here for 4 years at least. Before the Simone Biles hype, she had more consistent coaches & the rate was more reasonable. Since the explosion in gymnastics hype, the coaches changed every 2 weeks-1 month. Very high turnover rate. I would expect a change if she leveled up but that was not the case. The front desk manager said it was difficult to keep coaches since those positions are part-time and after school hours & all gymnastics schools are like that. NO THEY ARENT BY THE WAY! I also told her my daughter became scared coming to class. The coaches would tell my daughter they would catch her if she fell. She fell several times with wrist/elbow pains lasting more than 1 week. Luckily, the pediatrician said they were muscle strains from over extensions and not broken. This is the closest gymnastics place to our home. Careless with my child, much more expensive than when we started, & new coaches every month.
The place is organized and clean...more to say about the others places around ...however! The 5yo class of Wednesday afternoon change coaches every other week so there isn’t any consistency for the kids...besides the front front desk ladies are super rude every time you need something... they give you a fake smile at the beginning and then they give that look of annoyance ...I stay there because location is convenient and because my daughter love her friends there...
The coaches are wonderful especially ms. Maddy and ms.sierra. the environment is great. My kids really have fun. They also measure progress on a regular basis. They are punctual and utillize the time well.Their camps are also awesome.
I have my daughter here and has been a great experience. She is already 14 and had abandoned Gymnastics for 5 years. She was reluctant about starting over again but when she realized how candid and helpful coaches area, regained self confindence. She is slowly getting in shape again.
Great environment! Nice coaches and staff. My daughters been going here since she was 3 now 8 and she loves gymnastics
Tiny tots is disorganized mess. Different coaches every week, zero structure, zero curriculum. Coaches just guessing what to do next to fill up the time and constantly looking at their watches so they know when it’s over.I don’t expect Olympic style training for a 2yr old but sitting around half our class figuring out what to do first is a waste of time.Spend your $90 on something else.
The coaches have been wonderful with my daughters! Just wish a couple classes are a bit smaller. Overall, happy!
My girls love coming to gymnastics. They have learned a lot and grown so much in a short time. The coaches and staff are very helpful.
My daughter takes the 3 year old tumbling class and my son is in ninja warrior I love that the teachers are very skilled and very patient with my kids if you plan on signing up your kiddos for extra activity’s come here the staff is super friendly we Are definitely sticking with fun and fitness gymnastics!
My daughter has the best time here. She quickly progresses in her skills. All of the staff are friendly and professional.
Very nice experience. The coaches are professional and very friendly. The stuff are all very helpful. Overall the best gym in the area.
Coach really friendly, the atmosphere is very nice, the only thing that makes my rating 4 stars that they change my daughter coach a lot.
Great facility and wonderful staff. Weve been at Fun and Fitness for the past 2 years and our 6 year old loves it there.
My 7 year old daughter love to come here all the time and the place and coaches are great!!
My daughter has been here for 2 months and she improved a lot with her head stand, front flip etc. She enjoys everything they do in her tumbling class. I only gave 4 starts because the instructor is not all the time the same.
Weve been going there for 4 years, my kids love this place, always happy to go.
We’ve been coming here for a couple years and as my daughter has progressed up through the levels our experience has been consistently great!
We stop by to this place for first time and our daughter really liked it. We enrolled her for tryout. Shes 3 years old, and she really enjoyed the tryout. Mrs Tera (instructor) she was patience and dedicated.Thank you Fun & Fitness Gym
Great experience and very professional trainers
My daughter attends the introductory classes for preschool and she really loves it. Great intro into gymnastics and helps with confidence and building strength. She loves her teacher and is always moving in classes. Saw some negative reviews and it must just depend on the teacher you get? My daughter really does look forward to her class each week and I really like that I get to watch her.
My daughter loves attending gymnastics here. All of her coaches have been wonderful. We just had her birthday party there and it was fantastic. Very organized and all the kids enjoyed themselves!
Very conducive and friendly staff.
Great coaches. All 3 of my boys have been in different classes here and all have loved it. 2 have done recreational classes and 1 competes. The competition team coaches are top notch. Equipment is great too.
My daughter has had a very positive experience here. I have seen her confidence and strength grow year by year. The instructors overall are awesome and have a great rapport with the kids.
My kids really enjoy gymnastics at this gym. It is very crowded because it is the only one like this nearby. However, they are building some new parent seating areas. They also have parents night out and camps during school breaks, which have really saved my work schedule. The only quibble I have is that the one makeup class a month is a little limited.
Worse place ever!! The good coaches are only for the higher levels. The recreational classes are taught by a bunch of teenagers that have no idea about anything. Since they dont know what they are doing our kids get hurt really easy and when you try to find a grown up to address the issue no one returned my calls or contacted me in anyway.
My daughter is 3 and loves taking gymnastics here! They are great with kids and are very creative with the classes.
I agree with other folks posts here regarding instructors behavior and poor attitude. Not all, but several lack any sort of finesse with little children. Our last class actually resulted in me asking to speak with the General Manager. When the receptionist said he/she was not there, I asked her to have them call me......they never did. We were terribly disappointed with the lack of customer service and overall professionalism from their team members. Ultimately, it was our girls decision to discontinue and drop out.In addition, my wife and I were frustrated with their policy of charging a full months payment (4 classes) even when the gym elected to close (i.e. Spring Break) and offers 2-3 possible class days. They claim that it is balanced by other months that have 5 classes, but then if the child misses a day on those months they dont allow a makeup class. That basically means they are profiting from the kids absences one way or another. No-one can truly end up averaging 4 classes a month in the end, even though thats what they paid for. Also, the policy of only one make up day in the entire month is extremely inconvenient. Most kids have other scheduled activities on weekends and not everyone can make it to the only 2 hours they offer on a Saturday each month.Bottom line, our girls were just not having fun in their classes and their inflexible policies and poor customer service resulted in a lousy experience and as a result, lousy review/rating.On a side note, we have since enrolled them at Adrenaline in Katy and the instructors are TERRIFIC!! My daughters have LOVED the experience thus far. We are hopeful that we have finally found the RIGHT place!!
Both my kiddos really love the fun tots program. The coaches are so good and patient with the little ones!!!
Birthday party was wonderful!! The reasonable fee gave us the whole lobby and gym to ourselves. Coach “Sparkles” Duyen led the kids in games and was excellent with our 3-5yr olds. Coach Brie assisted and was also helpful. They have a HUGE blow up train that they use for birthday parties and the kids love running through its obstacle course and slide. I also really appreciated that Coach Duyen called me beforehand to ask what activities my daughter liked to do in the gym. She incorporated them into the games and I loved that! After the parents enjoyed watching the kids play for an hour, the coaches helped us serve cake and clean up at the end. Super friendly and great customer service. Highly recommend doing your birthday party here.
Everyone is so nice. My daughter is 2 and she absolutely loves it.
Some weeks theyre amazing and some theyre terrible! Depends on the coach and class, HUGE coach turnover. My child has had 6 coaches in less than six months. SHES FOUR NOT OK! Great facility and huge potential, but office staff sucks and some of their staff members are too young to care.
We have been at Fun and Fitness for about 6 months. our coaches are great and my kids really enjoy it.
My daughter has been going to this gym for over a year now and loves it!
Great new facility, but sadly the front desk old Hispanic lady is extremely rude, unprofessional and incompetent. She fails to acknowledge who pays her paycheck - the PARENTS with their kiddos enrolled. She too should learn manners and treat parents courteous and should try smiling. Customer service is a MUST and apparently lacks this skillset completely! Definitely not a good image. An effective staff is eminent in a business in order to continue prospering. F&FG should re-work their hiring process and hire right. Also work on retaining the skillful coaches...
From level 1 all the way to level 10 this gym has the coaches to bring out the best in your child.
I like the place but some of their instructors need to learn manners big time. One of their instructor Denson is a bully. He bullies little kids esp on parents night out. He takes stuff away from them saying he wants to play with it and thinks its funny. He asked one kid to punch another kid in the stomach and then said he was kidding. The owners should observe him (first of all why hire someone with so many tattoos to train kids???), hes older than all other instructors and lacks basic common sense in dealing with kids.I have witnessed him bully kids, Ive heard from my kid and from one other parent also. You all want true advise, FIRE HIM.... Also I really hope you all run background checks including criminal on all your instructors.
Ive been in here for about 2 years and my sister and I really enjoy learning here.
The gym is great I agree about how some kids do not have a coach that happened to me and now the moved me to the xcel team so there for the gym is is great
From the staff to the facilities, this is the best gymnastics training program in Houston.
After what happened to me and my daughter today we will never be back. I bought a groupon for 8 classes to see how we liked it, I went in on Aug 25th to sign her up, the older lady I talked to told me to come in next week on the first week of Sept, that would be the 3rd of Sept. So we did, and today I get pulled aside to tell me that my 8 classes are up.....today is Oct 22. So my daughter came to class, the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th of Sept, and 1st, 8th 15th. And when we came for our last class on the 22nd they pulled her out after being here for 10-15 mins. The lady was rude and unrelenting, so sure of her own rightness. F&F must have started my groupon as soon as I showed up, and they have me down as coming on the 27th of Aug. But then told me to come for our first class on the 3rd of Sept. So frustrating. After that we went straight to westwood to sign up.
Really bad customer service. Very Rude employees.
1 because there is not zero. Horrible service, teachers who do not even look at students. A very bad experience. The attendants are rude and mocking
Dont like the place and behaviour of staff.
Great Gym!!!!
