There is a new employee I havent seen before that was extremely rude to paying hockey league customers.I have worked customer service for years and understand how exausting it can be. But that is never an excuse to be rude.

Weve been here before for an Ice-Skating event and my youth love it. We rent out one side of the center for 2 hours and they let us have fun. My youth talk about this for days afterwards and look forward to the next year. The staff are very helpful and accommodating to our nearly 100 youth.

Good rink. Terrible security. Very dark in parking lots beside the building. My car was broken into, as were about 8 or 9 other cars at 7 PM on a Sunday. They should invest in better exterior lighting.

No other way to describe it other than it is a dump. Worst hockey facility in the Metroplex. Poor surface, limited spectator seating, tiny lobby, no music, limited parking with poor lighting.

This is our home rink. It has good ice, great employees, awesome skate guards, and amazing group classes. It’s a smaller building so it only has two ice rinks that are decent sized, but not huge. Public skate can get really busy and parents like to let their kids ignore that rules and do what they want, which is very unsafe for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend giving it a shot!

Awesome place. Good ice, decent rentals. The blades could have been a bit sharper, but I completely understand they do not sharpen rentals on a daily basis. It wasnt busy, we had a great time. We will be returning, for sure. I wished that the public skating times ran a little later, perhaps we should have planned our visit a little better by checking on league days and times. There are at least two rinks at this location, I only saw two, there is the possibility that there are more, not sure though.

Im going to give this place a simply bc of indifference to the behavior of some of the boys hockey players/staff. I was skating here during free style session and some young boys started playing with hockey sticks and pucks off ice, almost hitting us. It seemed not only rude but UNSAFE. I informed the front desk but they didnt seem to care.

This is the coldest and least comfortable StarCenter at which to watch youth hockey games. Our players reported that the ice was good, which is the most important part, but the locker rooms are small and it lacks large enough restrooms to handle large crowds.

The staff at the Dr. PEPPER Star center went well beyond the call of duty to put on an amazing hockey tournament. They went the extra mile to answer questions, they filmed and had every game streamed and avaiable for families out of town, they interviewed the #1 player from each game that they selected, the awards and trophies were quality and unusual. Memorable. The place was freezing...but it is an ice rink. Lol. Parking wasnt great. Plan accordingly. Seating undesirable. However, super staff made up for it.

Love this rink. Im in the adult league and my daughter takes her hockey academy classes here. We have had nothing but a great experience. The staff is very friendly and will always take a minute to help or to lend a couple pointers. The coaches are awesome; they dont just show up to get through practices. They coach like they mean it. My daughter raves about coaches Austin and Troy. Ethan is a good egg too and leaves a good, smooth slab with the ol Zamboni. Also for the amount of multitasking the staff has to do between running a two rink hockey schedule, maintaining the ice and equipment, and dealing with complaining parents (you know who you are), Kenny and company do very well. The slabs are well maintained and the ice is good and hard. The place is very clean, in spite of the lingering smell of hard work. After a while its more of a second home than just a rink. We always feel welcome and we always have a blast. Also, its universally true that ice rinks are cold and rental skates are dull. Not really worth leaving a good place a bad review. Just saying.

To the below review about the refs, the refs are a separate organization run by MHOA and serve all rinks in the metroplex. They are generally not affiliated with the rink. So if you have an issue with referees that is a problem to be brought to the MHOA, not the rink.
