Had a really fun night here. All comics were funny and wait staff was real nice too. The food and drinks were great as well. They had karaoke next door after the comedy which was very cool.

It’s been 7 years, yet I still remember the workshop I took as even the instructor took the time to teach on after I was the only student to show for Backdoor’s intro class that session. They gave me the option to perform, immediately after the class; yet they didn’t push me in to anything. I decided to perform and it was invigorating. I’d drive in from Alabama to relive that Thursday again and get on stage one more time. Southern fried humor at it’s best with a friendly, Texas welcome.

Very funny and fun people! The comedians were really great, the audience was respectful, our drinks were nice and strong. It was a good time. I appreciate how approachable the comedians were after their sets and I love the location. Its attached to The Line which serves THE BEST tavern style pizza Ive ever had and Im from Chicago! I visit Dallas every year for Christmas, Ill have to add the comedy show to my yearly routine.

This place was a great way to spend a date night or night out with friends. The comedians were really funny, to the point that I wouldnt be surprised if some of them become well-known down the line. And there is a wide range so if some of them arent for you, there will definitely be others you enjoy. The service and food was great too. Very reasonable prices for quality bar service. Its connected to a spacious, cool sports bar if comedy isnt your thing as well. We had a great time and will definitely take friends here in the future n

The place was a typical stand up comedy club. Drinks and food were decent and not too expensive. Its right next to a karaoke bar so you can do Karaoke after the show.The comedians were OK. Some definitely made me laugh. It was not a bad place to spend a couple of hours.

First time visiting the Backdoor Comedy. Staff was very professional and friendly. Cover charge was reasonable and food was good. Some of the Comedians were very good and some was ok. Will visit again

Every time I’ve been to the Backdoor Comedy Club, I’ve had the most fun. Their comics have always been hilarious and the staff is super friendly. The club is intimate and cozy with a sort of a New York comedy club feel, but not so tight that you feel like anyone is getting into your personal space. You see a number of different comics over the evening, and they’re all really funny. They keep things moving and it’s a great show. It is a fantastic place for a birthday or anniversary. Just let them know when you make your reservation and they take great care of you. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t regret it!

First time, nice place, respectful crowd and good atmosphere. Was a show case, so different range of comedians about 8 or more through out the night if one isnt for u some of the others will be.

Cozy with great food. Went to their show previously at a hotel for a birthday. This spot is much better. Comics are hilarious.

Dont go here. They served me nasty generic whiskey while calling it Crown Royal. Ill never go back. Surely Im not the only person this has happened to. We tabbed out and left before the show started. Dont believe me, go get it.

Great comedy show, you will have fun for sure.

Best open mic Ive experienced in the metroplex. Yes, there is a minimal cover charge, but the room is full of people ready to laugh and have a good time. Speaking only to the open mic, its the good, the bad, and the ugly. But the good is often very good, and the feel of the room is one of jovial unity, with a broad spectrum of comics ranging from seasoned lawyers trying out new material to rising stars debuting their comedic voice. Everyone is extremely friendly, and at times you forget its an open mic. Highly recommended.

The staff members were very kind. They even called to make sure we werent lost trying to find our way to the club. The talent was quite entertaining and very accommodating afterwards for pictures and such. Our drinks were never empty and the food was delicious. For sure a 5-star experience and highly recommended.

One star for the one drink I was served! Im pretty sure if someone opens a tab they intend to have more than one drink! Could have been a lot better experience! I would say the comedy was 50/50, had some good laughs but some comedians were not so great. Again may have been better if I wasnt agrivated from the poor service!

Went with 20 people from work and had a blast performing at an Open Mic night in June 2017. A colleague has joined me on stage half-a dozen times, which is unbelievable experience for us both.Very convenient and safe location. Material has been funny and appropriate for my wife and teen daughters... the comedy still has an edge, though!The professional shows on Friday and Saturday are a great experience ... perfect for a date night! I really appreciate the standards and vibe present in the venue, which feels like a family business.Bar and food options were convenient.

I enjoyed myself! The Comedians were unique in their own style of bringing laughter to the soul. It was just what I needed to start my weekend right. The atmosphere... it was cozy with good service.

If you need a good laugh and intimacy for you and a date go here. The comedians are great! My favorites are Komedian KG, Linda, and Van Chew Im here every Friday night.

Small venue with great acts. Conveniently located inside the Campbell Center so you dont have to drive after. We have been several times and always love it.

The atmosphere was amazing! Not only did they have TV Comics, but we enjoyed some of the best Comics on TV. I was actually forced to go to this event by my spouse and honestly tried not to laugh.. To no avail, I was in stitches the first two minutes of the Comedy show.

This is in the hotel right off the highway, so dont miss the small sign on the side of the hotel building. Go through the lobby though. There were at least 8 comedians on the night we went, and my cheeks literally ached afterward from smiling and laughing during their routines. We went a different night last year, and it wasnt as funny, so I guess its hit and miss, depending on whos there, but for $12-$14, I think its worth it. The menu is extremely limited, but it was delicious (quesadillas and sliders). The server was stealth in delivering drinks and the check during the show. Im sure well return at some point.

A friend told me about this little comedy club and I decided to try it out. People...this place is great! I had never been to a comedy club before so I didnt know what to expect. The small, intimate atmosphere was so inviting! All of the staff were so friendly and eager to accommodate us promptly with drinks & appetizers. Each comedian was funnier than the next! 8-10 comics entertained us and to our surprise some where nationally known. I liked the variety of short sets by several different comics. We laughed ourselves to tears...something for everyone. If you feel like you could use a laugh, grab your friends and try out this little club. I promise youll find yourself there again and again!

Our company recently held an event at Backdoor Comedy. From the moment we engaged the process to the last laugh and applause, they were impeccable with their professionalism and making us feel at home. Had a group of ten for my daughter’s 21st Birthday.When I made the reservations the lady was great at giving me all the information about the night they had planned for Friday the 13th and answered all my questions. Also told us to be sure to bring a jacket because it is chilly in the club...very thankful for that.We had a blast, won some prizes and absolutely loved Linda she had us in tears from laughing. Hope to make another night out to the club soon.

Been to this place a few times on their open mic night. It was great. Some of the comics that night were hit and miss but it was an open mic. Food was awesome, and staff was great.Its a small place but it makes it work better for a comedy club, in my opinion.I will be back again and again!

Love this place! Always have a great time here since I first went in 2002. The open mike night gives you a sampler platter of roughly 20-25 comics 3 minutes at a time...sounds crazy, I know. But it works. Good times.

Because Ive been traveling so much, its been a while since Ive been back to a Backdoor show. Nothing had changed. It was just like watching a comedy act in a small club in New York. All the comics were really funny. There were around 10 or more comedians that night. All of them were hilarious. You could tell they were seasoned pros. They were on stage for a 10 or 15 minute routine. I actually saw one of those guys on TV. The rest of the comics were really funny, too.

I didnt know what to expect at all but I was blown away by the experience. We came for the Friday night show. Yes, the room is small; yes, the decor is lacking; yes, its super cold in there so bring a hoodie. BUT the talent was hilarious; there was really good energy between the audience & the performers. I sat close to the front & I recommend you do the same. Some jokes fell flat but those times were still pretty funny, just from the awkwardness. I havent laughed so hard in a long time. Ill be back for sure!

I feel the club misrepresented itself. Its very tiny (small room behind the hotel bar) and not in an intimate way. It was uncomfortably small and we were seated with other couples at tiny tables even though there was plenty of room to spread out. The staff was rude. There was one commendable comedian, but everyone else was embarrassingly unfunny. I tried to participate (not heckle mind you), but the comedians were so in their heads, theyd get thrown off track and flustered. I guess their questions to the audience were rhetorical?! One comedian, who happened to be the door guy (and insulting), was so bad he just walked off stage. Save your money and skip this club.

Awful. Not a club (pictures are some old location- just ask them). They rent a conf room in a hotel. No joke! Went with date on New Years and I immediately realized what a horrible decision I had made.Headliner was great, but first hour was awful acts mixed with some funny talent that didnt get enough time. REALLY bad. Message to club: Take my money and get a real club instead of using dividers in a hotel conf room!

Really small I mean small, and did I mention cold like very cold like so cold they bring in space heaters.I had a good time... just a word to the wise as I learned the hard way. IF YOU SIT UP FRONT DONT TALK.. I some how ended up being that guy and did not mean to be. Apologies to the talent that was there.I didnt realize these guys only get 3-4 mins each so ya gotta be quiet and no interaction with them while on stage.If you prefer crowd and talent interactions visit the bigger comedy spots such as improv.Over all it was worth going to once to hear local talent.

Fun place for an open Mic night

Comedians were hit or miss.Some were okay, some were really funny. The intolerable part was the cold temperature in the room with no heat when it was 35 degrees outside, completely inexcusable. I would not suggest going during the winter season, I could say more but Ill just leave it at that.

Horrible! I was not a fan of ONE comedians act.. and was rudely CONFRONTED by that comedian after the show! Never in my life have I been so insulted! Will NEVER go babk
