This is the best park ever!! The landscaping is always well kept with all the beautiful flowers and greenery. Its very calm and peaceful. People appear very happy in this park; they even say Hello and speak to you. The park rangers are very kind, and you feel safe because they are always driving around in all the park areas. I have been visiting this place for over twenty years with no complaints .

I really enjoy this park! I regularly do what I call a butterfly loop that totals around 3miles starting at the back parking lot. Wonderfully maintained park and lovely woods.

If you are looking for a park to walk your dogs, Blacklick Woods has only one trail that allows dogs out of the many that are offered. I have spoken with others looking for the dog approved trail, but so far, no one I have spoken with has either found it or is able to give directions to where it might be! There are large green spaces, however, with benches and tab l s for picnics ( which is exactly what I did with my two fur babies, absent talking a nice walk. Dogs can play with you in these areas, but must be leashed and able to maneuver past all the other dogs confined to the green space after learning that all but one of the trails prohibit dogs! On really lovely days, this can get a wee bit dicey!

Amazing weather today. I roamed into the woods and found the best log to meditate on. In my stillness, I blended in with the trees. I became convinced that straddling a log was the most grounded asana ever. Its kind of like a horse stance in karate. Namaste

There are a lot of sweet trails. The swampy pond area is surreal because all the fallen trees and green water. The nature center is great for kids and adults alike. It was cool to see about 7 raccoons feeding all at one place. The areas were well kept and there are a lot of amenities for all types of events. There are bicycle trails and hiking trails too. There is also a pond and other cool spots throughout the park.

Blacklick Woods Metro Park is a relaxing place to eat and relax while enjoying nature. My friend and I had bought chicken sandwiches from Boston Market along with the rest of the meal and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The only drawback was there was a lady in the car next to us talking very very loudly. Please be mindful of others when you are in the park and you are on the phone.

I visit this metro park very often. It is always a great place to clear my head on the trails and see some excellent wildlife. The rangers here are always friendly and willing to help in any way they can. Blacklick also has great shelter options for rent for parties, reunions, and cookouts! Definitely recommend

Not far from main roads but still secluded, in a sense. Variety of flora and fauna to learn about. Theres playgrounds, trails, a swamp, restrooms, a Nature Center (open October-March), decent parking, picnic table areas, dedication/memorial benches, and those are just the areas Ive seen so far.

This is a beautiful park. Just be aware that huge groups are meeting here. There was a group of 20+ people doing a slip n slide near the first parking lot, and they killed the grass. I saw rangers while there & they did nothing. Total of 4 huge groups of people.

I love our metro park system. Columbus metro does a good job of maintaining, valuing, and providing beneficial community and environmental service through our metro park system. I travel a great deal and try to hike wherever I go. Columbus metro parks system is one of the best Ive experienced. Great value for investment. Clean, safe, and good trails; wooded settings in an urban environment.

This is the best park in our area. We live about three blocks away and spend the majority of our summer here. There are three playgrounds here, each with different equipment, for different ages. The shelters are clean and open, surrounded with grassy area for games. We used a shelter for our daughters first birthday party and had a blast. The shelter was easy to decorate and large enough for our fifty guests. The kids ran around in the grass and played at the playground. We walk the trails with our kids and visit the nature center. This park is fantastic for families.

This place was busy for 9 am in early June on a Monday. This was one of the busier metro parks on par with Highbanks. It has a good amount of shelter areas. We took the Greenway Trail from the back parking lot near the nature center. It took us to a creek after. 5 miles or more. You do go down a decent hill where my 5 year old wasnt able to bike back up. The creek was easy to reach but very, very Rocky. It wasnt small enough for my 2 and 5 year old to cross either. But lots of rocks to throw.

We took a peak at This Countryside in the City and listened to Our Teacher as She showed US a Cacoon, an active Bird nest and maybe a Beehive before a quick Headcount then back on the BUS WED climb that would take US back to the City Life from which WED come! Thanks to the many Teachers for Thier patience and Care for Kids like US!
