The atmosphere of this place is like any game shop that you go into. Its small but the workers there are friendly and helpful. They always try to make your visit a good one. When you step in that door they treat you like family.
Super friendly staff. They have tabletop games you can play for free! They also do miniature painting lessons for free. A really chill atmosphere. Lots of miniatures and several tabletop games to choose from to buy.
It is a great store. The staff is really nice too. If I could give them 4 thumbs way up, I would
Friendly staff, good selection of cards.
Cool place, guy behind the counter is super nice and always willing to answer any questions
Decent staff and very good prices for items. Exactly what you would expect of a permanent establishment in a college town. Great place to hang out with nerdy friends, and amazing place to take the pulse of the nerd community in Rexburg.
This is a great place to come and get cards. Ive always enjoyed coming by to look through the binders and get what I need. We also play Magic at the local junior high and the kids are always super positive about their experiences getting the Magic products they want at Game Pulse.
Super friendly staff and customers. Events every day. Great place and atmosphere. Totally recommend it to anyone
I found this game store using the Wizards of the Coast Store locator as I was looking to play some Magic. The first time I tried to play here, I waited outside of the location for more than 30 minutes after what was suppose to be store hours and it was not open. Talk about a real bummer and let down. Most recently I was stuck in town for Thanksgiving and this place was the only place that had scheduled events - the event locator said Game Pulse had EIGHT events scheduled. I got to the store to find it once again closed. From my experience and what others have told me about this place, I wonder if there are even events here or whether they are faked.
Lots of space for any table top games whether they be card games, board games, or RP games. Also a has a cool PC area for computer gaming
Great little game store. Owner is super friendly and helpful. Great place to go for D&D or Magic the Gathering
Great community and friendly environment.
This game store just have a legit staff. I believe it was the owner that I got to talk to— and he is really nice. He will help you with whatever you need.EDITED 11/24/2017:The store is still awesome, and the staff is still as helpful as ever. I recommend this store for those who wants to buy cards. Good store.
This place is great! The owner is friendly and super knowledgeable. He even hosts tons of Magic the Gathering events.
Game Pulse is great. They have a decent selection of board games, and an awesome collection of miniatures. They do a good amount of events as well.
Great magic card shop. Fun place to go and have fun. They have board games and places to play dungeons and dragons. They have food and a soda machine. Over all its an awesome place to be and meet new people and have a good time
Visiting from out of state this place has a nice atmosphere very friendly and a really cool dragon art piece hanging out in the shop!
Great place, good community.
Absolutely amazing place to go play magic or have a dnd session downstairs. The prices on cards, games, miniatures, etc. are super fair and the guy who runs it is super friendly.
Staff is super helpful and friendly. Answered all of my questions and gave good recommendations.
Isaac is the homie. Always looking out for his customers and offering events that are fun for everyone. Have been playing here since I got to college and will continue to until I leave.
Poor card selection would be an understatement. The shop is dark and dingy. And the people running the store dont appat care at all about either wizards reccomendations or even the scheduling and prize support laid out by WOTC. Terrible little store that leaves you wishing you had went anywhere else.
I hate to give the only card shop around a 1 star, but the service made me never want to come back.My friend and I went in to possiblymake a deck from his selection of cards and we were looking through them just fine. I set one of the books to the side after we looked through it. He came over and said “hey guys we have a problem. When you set this book like this the cards can bend and I make a living off of these cards.” We apologized immediately and said we wouldn’t do it again and that it was an accident. The problem was the guy kept pressing! Going on about how it was $800 worth of cards and that he gets angry when people ruin them. We apologized, by then we were scolded like children. We felt so awkward by this encounter that we just abandoned the deck building we had initial came to do. Which sucks because I am new to Magic and was really looking forward to getting my own deck. I don’t know if the guy has problems with social cues or what, but I think that if he worked on customer service and maybe cleaned the shop up a bit then he would have a better business.
Game Pulses owner is very caring of all of his customers. I am an avid Magic the Gathering player and this store delivers. I love this store!
Nice small game store. The people there are very friendly as well and helped me out looking for what I wanted.
Staff wasnt very friendly and seemed bothered to give me assistance.
Great staff. Super helpful. I love coming in and Ill often stop by two or three times a week just to hang out. If he doesnt have it the owner, Isaac, can order it for you.
Great store for my teen boys to play magic with others of all ages. I love their huge collection of games that can be enjoyed on site for free.
My husband and I love to play at the Friday Night Magic events here.
Great place to meet other geeks, wonderful service, just wish the pickings were more broad.
Small selection, sub-par customer service. I understand that many people have had wonderful experiences here, but Ive gone in three times to browse the selection, and I never find more than 20 games on the shelf. Half the time, My wife and I are walking around for quite a while before anybody even asks us if we need help, or says hello.Furthermore, the open about an hour after they say they do, and close an hour before they say they do. I have tried to go many times during posted hours, only to find the door locked. As a disclaimer, we are not into deck-building games, which seem to be this shops specialty. Also, I understand that a lot of people have had very positive experiences here, and for that reason alone I keep going back and trying, but I have never seen a good selection of games, nor have I ever had a positive experience with the staff. If you like deck-building, give it a try. But if you dont, take the thirty minutes and drive to Idaho Falls.
Great little place to get cards. East going with little pressure
The Game Pulse is home to a gaming community for all ages. They have magic the gathering, dungeons and dragons, Kings of war, mantic, games workshop, infinity, painting classes, and an online gaming hub. There is always a group to join with instant friendship part of the deal.
The best place to play warhammer in my opinion, very friendly staff with a great gaming group. Its my home away from home. Thank you game pulse.
Great locally owned business. The owner is very welcoming and will answer any of your questions.
Of all the venues I have played magic at, this has been by far my favorite. The owner is a really great guy who will get to know his frequent customers/players. The shop is fairly small, but has a great community of players(mostly from the college). I found the prices at the shop to be fair or closely matched websites like tcgplayer.
Despite being in something like a garage this shop is great for any board, card or retro gamer. The owner is very enthusiastic and loves the games he plays (hell play magic with you) and he always helps make your shopping experience entertaining. If youre looking for something fun to do, this placell have your back.
Cool place to play games paint models and just hang out. Good atmosphere for all ages.
I thought this was a good place to shop
Very welcoming and positive environment. The guy at the front desk is very polite, and and is very kind. I like how new players to any kind of game can come in, and he will take the time to sit down and play with you.
Isaac, the guy the who runs the place, is awesome. They have plenty of tables to play all sorts of games and even have a rack of demo games you can play for free. I hang out there whenever I can.
Super friendly staff, great deals, and an exciting atmosphere filled with great people. Definitely worth a stop if youre into cards, board games, or if you want to learn how to play something new.
Great store! Come in to play free demo games with friends or your favorite pastime. From miniature games to Magic to Pokemon leagues, this shop has whatever you need. And if you cant find it, just ask! The owner will do all he can to find it for you.
This place is awesome! Perfect place to hang out with your friends on any given night.
Took some of my used video games in to see how much they would give me. They said 25¢ each, coming out to like $1.50. I said for that price, they were worth more to me just sitting on my shelf.Sold the same games through Amazon for a profit of around $40. (Amazon had seller fees, so the actual amount that they sold for was significantly higher, but $40 is what went into my pocket.)
Best little game shop I the IF/Rexburg area. Super friendly, lots of games, and cards. It could use a fresh coat of paint.
If I could I would give them zero stars I would. I have tried going here 4 times and each time they are not open when they say they are going to be (between 45 minutes and an hour and half each time). I find it very unprofessional and rude to their customers to not be open when they say they are going To be. I finally stopped waiting outside the store after about 45 minutes of them being open. I am not impressed at all. I will not be coming here and I will be telling others that going here is a waste of their time and money.
Great place this had the exact game items that my brother needed for his nephew.
Great place, people are often here, and best place for computer gaming around at a high price for WiFi usage if you come often.
Great and friendly environment to play a wide variety of board and computer games.
Ace gaming store, friendly and always has good company.
Ive been going to Game Pulse for years now. Its a great place to go for games and meeting people when you have time in Rexburg.
Its a great place to buy games and hangout with people
For the casual card gamer or casual D&D player, this has been a great local place to go.
A great place to meet other gamers. Prices are better online, but still fairly reasonable
Been going here ever since the store used to be gubbinz and games around the corner. Gets better every year I go, the staff are awesome, theres always someone to hang out with, and its probably the best store Ive been to that you can go and just play a game with someone without setting up a time beforehand. Games like warhammer 40k, magic the gathering, etc.
Love this store
This place is awesome for finding more obscure games be it board or old video games. They just need to get an air filter or something to remove the nerd sweat smell that always permeates the place
Interesting store, not many options and a little pricey for what they do have.
Great environment! Nice, helpful folks! Great fun!
There is a good variety of people that go there to play a lot of types of games.
This is one of my favorite places to hang out in Rexburg. This is a great place to go if you like tabletop games, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon or other such collectables. There are video games there but the selection is not all that big, however it is one of the only places in town you can get classic game system games like PS2, XBOX original, SNES and Gameboy games. There are tournaments of all kinds here held on a regular basis from Magic the Gatherings Friday night Magic to the Star Wars miniature tabletop game Xwing. There are several things to do for free or cheap here as well, there are quite a few board games to play for free (in shop only of course) ranging from flux to Settlers of Catan(now simply called Catan). There is an gathering of Magic the Gathering players every Thursday (with the exception of holidays) to play EDH. Sometimes you get a game of 7 people playing at once!TLDR; If your a gamer of any kind, youre likely to find what youre looking for here.
A great store, with friendly service. A++
A lot of space and terrain
Best place in town
The sushi is AMAZING!!
There was a 5 year old at the front desk. I didnt know who was in charge.
Great atmosphere
Waited for the shop to open but I was still waiting after shop should have been open.
Fun store.
Super smash bros brawl tournaments every tues for $2 + cheap candy and soda
