We love this water park. So much for little kids, big kids, and adults to do. They provide life jackets if you need one and their restrooms are clean too. They are also reasonably priced for all you get to do and for as long as you wish to stay. Their lifeguards are heavily trained and are consistently paying attention. What I really like is every 50 minutes they are given a ten minute break as well as every person swimming. This allows for recoating of sunblock and time to get a snack. They do have food to purchase should you choose to not bring any. They do close for any inclement weather for safety and they will tell you upon purchasing an entry ticket that inclement weather is expected and no refunds will be given nor will a rain check. This gives the purchaser an opportunity to leave if they wish to and not feel like they lost money should any storm hit and the pool close early. Overall it is an outstanding and fun place to go. Never a dull moment. Highly recommend.
They have improved this place in the last few years by adding a few bigger attractions like water slides. I would like to see more food options there and everything is kind of expensive.
Place was clean quick process to get in. Life Guards were on point. Great family atmosphere and experience. Stone parking lot is not feet friendly! And the food a little pricey. Overall still a great time.
Very fun, great for both my 1 and 3 year old. They provide life vests for little ones and not strong swimmers. If you walk to the back at the end of the big slides there may be shaded seating. Cant wait to visit again!
We have been going to water mine for probably four years now. As a family we love it. The lazy river encircles an area which has 2 toddler friendly water slides, 2 preschool sized ones, and two bigger ones. In the last two years they added 3 larger slides that you need to be 48 to ride and a huge splash area. The splash pad has slides, areas with big buckets dumping on them. The downside to this is that you almost always have water in your eyes. Children are cutting in lines, passing smaller ones out of their way, and aiming the sprayers at smaller kids faces. Last time I was there I literally told some ten year old boys to stop spreading my five year old face. She is little than you, be careful Im pretty sure it has no effect. The whole place is packed in the summer but we still like it. Ideally you want to show up when they first open to get seats in the shade.
The water mine family park was amazing for our family we had so much fun . We go there around 10am which the line was long so you might want to come early to reserve a good seat . However we got in and we had food brought with us and we had blast in the water kids my mother and auntie and brother and sisters all had amazing time. I even had sun burnt on my back, remember to put sunscreen everywhere lol. Definitely recommend to families and couples to have fun and forgot about everything and enjoy the water park.
A great family experience. Lifeguards are very attentive, and felt like they were well trained and super observant. Everything was clean and well maintained. Great splash pad, pool and lazy river. Will definitely be back!
A place locals would love or those visiting family from out of town, but not a tourist destination in the DMV area, there is so much more to see. But this was super fun to go with the kids for a decent entry fee. My husband and I got to go down water slides! The smile and bounce from him when he got down was all worth it!
My daughter LOVES this water park! She always chooses to have her birthday party here! I love how it’s always clean, there’s plenty of room for a lot of people. The food they offer there is yummy too! This place is popular... in the mornings there are super lines you have to wait at but what do you expect when going to such an awesome, fair priced water park? You definitely will see me coming back every summer!
This little gem is amazing. I visited with my son (8), niece (8) and nephew (10). We were able to find nice seating. The lazy river is super fun the kids loves it and so did I. They also loved the bigger water slides. They have smaller ones for little kids. I was very impressed by the lifeguards super attentive.
We went on a Friday and had a great time. The park is not too small and not too huge. There are enough attractions to entertain a 6-7yr old for several hours. The best was the Lazy River and we went around it several times. The water slides were also a lot of fun. We will be back for sure!
Fun place for kids! My 1 year old loved the water table and my 9 year old loved the slides! No super crowded and reasonably priced! Much more fun than splashdown!
Its always fun to go here with the family. Kids and parents can have fun here! There are plenty of things to do for all ages. It can get very crowded very quick tho. Make sure you get in as early as possible. The only thing that we noticed this time around was that the water was dirty. Dont know if it was due to the rain and wind but there were lots of leaves n stuff in the pools.Pizza and other foods/snacks are pretty good too! Just bring the drinks n eat their food.
Great way to spend a day. We got there late morning and splurged on a 6 person Cabana to guarantee we had shade and tubes. If you get there late the chair seating is limited and you may end up on the grass or pool deck area with no shade. I liked that the water didnt burn my eyes. Lazy River was a favorite for all kids ages 8-16. They especially liked that you didnt have to be in a tube. We brought our own food so no review of snack shack (we went and got Paisanos because in Tuesday they have a $6.99 large carryout special)
Loooove it! ♡PROS♡ and cons (mostly PROS )*They have these great soft floaties for the kids. There soft and not as bulky as the others plus theyre cute.*Have many slides.*Baby areas like a baby pool with a baby slide then they also have springs and fountains shooting from the ground so its great for the little ones. They can still get their feet wet and play*they also have a playground type of area where there are stairs and sprinklers and cool little nifty gadgets where they can point/aim to wet other kids. The buckets that eventually fill up and pours on you. *The lazy river is great.*They have plenty of lounge chairs BUT in the areas where those cant fit they have regular plastic chairs so no matter what you will have SOMETHING to sit on or set your bags down*They have a lovely Lawn-like area where u can set up your own tents and umbrellas and all that, coolers etc*They have 10 minute breaks every hour so thats a nice excuse to get the kids out of the water to grab a bite.*FOOD! food is decent but they have a few options so that nice. Hot dogs chili dogs nachos pizza chicken tenders. THE SHAVED ICE IS AAAAMAZING absolutely love it. Love the mango one and they have many flavors. Also have other ice creams.***CONS****This place gets PACKED (not overly crowded when ur inside... next point) But this means LINES LONG LINES*Although there are lines and a wait sometimes,{Hot days} they have such an organized system set in place that the lines move quickly and efficiently.* could be a BIT cleaner. Bathrooms a little gross but I mean its a public pool bathroom soooo.... yeah
This water park is great! Laid back relaxing Life guards are A1 top of the line! For the price it’s well worth it you can bring your own food and grill. We be coming back.
Great place for kids!! Great value for the price, we stayed 6 hours which made it well worth the $60 we paid for 2 adults, 11year old and 9 year old. A wonderful mix of activities but never seemed hectic or chaotic, a very laid back vibe. Highly impressed with the staff!! The lifeguards were extremely attentive and were absolutely vigilant at keeping the kids safe. So glad we chose this park out of the many we researched. The kids had a blast!!
Took my 11, 9, and 3 year old and need some friends. Was great for all ages! The water was freezing, but kids didnt seem to mind. They loved it!
Great family fun. New slide section makes it fun for teens & adults, too. Love the lazy river & the fact you can bring in your own cooler. Come early if you need/ want chairs.
Not too bad a spot to spend an afternoon with family. Docked two stars for the following reasons:1) because there was nowhere I saw where the water was deeper than 4 feet, which made it get boring pretty quick. The kids are old enough to handle themselves in the shallower areas, as Im sure many attendees are, while the adults, or at least some of them, enjoyed a more serious swim as opposed to a bath on steroids.2) The food here is horrendously overpriced given the first point. At least at theme parks there are a lot more attractions in total, as well as variety thereof.
Been going for years. Fairfax County continues to expand this wonderful place. A great family atmosphere and plain old good time!!
They offer food and water. They have life jackets and a first aid station. The safety breaks are so smart! Great place for kids of all ages! The safety in this place is above and beyond!
Its really a nice place. I have been coming here every summer but I hate the fact that its always over crowded till you cant get even a place to sit and eat or one chair. The price is too much for summer time I think
Came here for my sons birthday, loved it. I loved that the life guards were sharp and assertive, will definitely be coming back again!
Its a nice area but feel as though they should offer more activities/ slides for the price. Also the 10 min break every hour is a bit of an annoyance but I understand its for safety.
Staff super friendly! Lifeguards extremely attentive! Prices reasonable! Vibe is amazing! The line to get in...miserable! Me and my family had a blast!!!
So fun with decent slides and a lazy river.
Amazing place! I go there all the time and all sections of the park are fun. But I gave it only 4 stars because it has no main swimming area for if you just want to swim.
This place was awesome. It is a outdoor pool and has pools for everyone! They have snack stands. They take brakes each hour.
Love this place! Barely any lockers. They have maybe 12 lockers and most are out of order.
This sunday i went for the first time. Its amazing. Love it. My children too.thank God this place is a little piece of heaven.
Lots of water fun. A little pricey. Buy the season pass if you plan to visit Fairfax County water sports often; more than 4 times this summer.
Im sure its a great place to take your family, if you can get in. Drove over an hour to find it closed down due to capacity. Where on the website is there any live status update on the capacity?? It didnt even appear full. No lines for the slides, plenty of room in the lazy river, seats available. Never again. Kids came home very disappointed, and so was I.
Awesome establishment. lifegaurds were a little wistle crazy, not too demanding, and at the same time made everyone feel secure. Family and couple friendly. Staff were professional. All in all, a water park that we would definitely visit again.
I absolutely loved this waterpatk. It was exactly wat my family needed this summer. I would encourage everyone to rent the cabana because it gives you shade from the sun and close access to the bathroom. The park also allows u to bring in your own food so the food costs are low ( or whatever u decide to bring/buy). Lastly get there early. We had reserved the cabana so we didnt have to wait but no reservation means your party could be waitibg for hours before going inside.
My kids love this place so much, we had a lot fun there . We be back all summer. Love it
Awesome place! Feel bad for the life guards but at least you know the kids are safe
I really like this place, I live faraway but we come here every summer, my kids love it
Overcrowded. Not allowing anybody else inside. I cant say. I know when i called about the hrs for today the girl that answered shouldve told us before we headed over there they were already way past max capacity and was hr or two wait. Wish the geniuses of NOVA that built all these places wouldve made something local the proper size to accommodate the population.
I had an amazing time with my kids, the lifeguards are always on top of their job. Making sure everyone is safe and constantly walking around at all times. You will never see a lifeguard that is on duty sitting down here, like in other places. The staff is so polite and welcoming. The pools are very clean, the slides are in great shape and overall the water park is amazing! They have food stands that sell a variety of food options. My kids enjoyed themselves so much and so did I. I gave it a 4 out of 5 only because, the deepest the pools get are 4ft. Which is pretty inconvenient for people who are looking forward to go for a swim. But its not a big deal, I guarantee you will enjoy your time here! Amazing and so worth it.
Kids always have a great time. And kept clean
Family friendly park. Very multicultural with lots of outdoor activities which are very inexpensive.
Took our kids and has a blast! Great to spend the whole day, just make sure you arrive early because the line can get really long.
Very nice place to take the family for an outing. Perfect for the children of all ages
Its great place to spend time with kiddos.2 and 5 years.they enjoyed a lot.we too .love lazy Susan river.food is expensive.its better to take tent or big umbrella with us for a shade since they are leaving 15 mins break every 1 hour.besides there is also plenty of umbrella shades in park but it got filled up quickly its for our safety.clean water.nice playtime.lots and lots of lifeguards.super safe for kids.so we can also have some fun .
I went on a summer Monday, it wasnt crazy busy but still a little crowded. Its more of a kids water park to be honest. The staff was friendly, and the lifeguards were top notch. There is a 10 minute break every hour and I think its a good idea to get the kids out the water and get them to eat something. The kids had a great time so Im defiantly coming back.
Great place for kids when you are visiting in laws for a week and searching for things to do.
This is a great Place My family loves it. Matter We heading there today
Good place for family fun. Staff is very courteous and kind. Little on the expensive side for a family. There are lot of board walks and trails in the park. Lot of shelters with power and barbeques. Lot of shady trees. The lake is man made and has boating. Maintained and manged by Fairfax county. Lot of parking spaces.
It is a great water park for kids of all ages: from babies to teenagers.
Good and bad. My son developed a severe reaction to the chlorine. Face swollen, rashes on face. Chlorine at waterparks are exceptionally high. However, very nice environment. Fun. Plenty of families. Decent class of people. Life guards are focused. Buy food or bring your own.
Great place for kids to burn some energy.... make sure to get there early or you wont find a seat
Get there early if you want a good seat...no glass anything but we love it here!
My first and for sure will be last time to come to this place. After i paid they said that they will close and open when is stoped raining... then they said that they don’t have internet So they will close... i asked for refund they said no...i dont understand why they let us pay if they will close
The family had a ton of fun. We went on a weekday. Youngest was 4 and the oldest 12. Not sure Id take a much older kid due to the size of the rides. 3 big slides (about 3 stories high) and plenty of smaller slides. Pools are 1 - 3 1/2 feet deep and they provide life vests. The small sizes can be depleted quickly. Splash playground is great and there are some ropes and lilly pad obstacles. It can get crowded but was not intolerable the day we went. There are tons of lounge chairs and umbrellas or shady trees. Locker rooms are clean and large with changing rooms. Staff is friendly and helpful. Very attentive life guards, constantly moving and watching and changing places. We are from out of town but Id come back no question.
Good clean family fun. Kinda small, but great for little ones and teens
Great childrens and family water park with plenty of lifeguards for safety and a myriad of options for water activities.
Good evening my name is niha Godfrey today me and my kids and wife went to your water park called water mine I have recordings of them being racist from when we first walked in . My child got lost today at the park we told the life gard and she laughed in our face I also have footage of that but it’s not as clear CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CONTACT US WE ARE VERY UPSET she let two whitE wife FAMILYS A HEAD of us I have clear footage of that we spent over 100 dollars today and drove over a hour a away just to get racially profiled this is insane
Fun for everyone. Bring your own food and drink
Our 1st visit was on a week day. Close parking. Not too crowded. Easy access. Plenty of lounge chairs. Short waits. The service was young but very helpful. The lifeguards are run like a regiment and very disciplined. The lazy river is fun - and there is enough variety with the slides and other pool attractions to keep kids of all ages entertained.
Great water park waiting is little long when at capacity but once In well worth it
The best in the area va. Camping and swimming
Great place to hang out in a hot sunny day. Decent space to sit and very well kept. Lifeguards everywhere to help little kids it. Lots of family fun.
This is a great place to go during the summer months to cool off. Its not the biggest water park but it does have some fun slides and a nice lazy river to relax in. My family went early to avoid the crowds that were mentioned in previous reviews, so the waits for slides and using the lazy river wasnt bad at all. Overall it was a nice place to go but expensive. If you dont purchase the season pass the cost to go without them will quickly add up.
I love this place. Think Im going buy season passes
In our experience today at the water park Timothy the security gaurd grabbed the bottle of milk from the baby and squezzed it. He also was very racist towards me and my family he also was very rude when i was trying to ask about a refund he slammed our cooler shut when i went up to get the rain check he was racist towards another group of hispanics as well he was screaming at everyone and grabbed other peoples items and carried them out without permission he was disrespectful and made me and my familys experience horribleI reccomend you dont come to this water and spend your mi ey else where
Fun and safe environment for a toddler. Staff is trained very well to keep everyone safe. Plenty of water activates for all ages. My 3 yr old grandson loves the Water Mine.
We love this place. Its clean and we feel very safe, the staff is very attentive. Its gets really busy so we like to rent the spaces for the extra fee, its not for everyone but we enjoy the designated space
It was great. I just wish I had a chance to get in.
We had so much fun today! Tons to do and never boring!!
Very busy (mid August, mid-week) but very clean -the pools too. I was impressed. We had a blast!! Poor lifeguards though. Forced to bob their heads all day... Why??? They must hate their jobs.
Best local waterpark! We always have a blast! I try to get a cabana when we go because they are perfectly located next to the little kid splash pad area. Lifeguard training and procedures are the best Ive seen!
Great waterpark cant wait to go back.
Its very a very nice place, I like the lake, the pool, the lake and boats and the picnics areas.
Ok so the Watermine is a great for people of all ages with different slides, play areas, and a lazy river, its a nice park at the FCPA owned Lake Fairfax Park. The Lifeguards are very attentive and are trained on a daily basis during operation hours. The park has a capacity of about 1,350+ people. It gets to capacity quickly so Id try to make it in early, the park does not control how many people show up and they have a capacity to maintain guest safety so when the park hits capacity its not really in their control to let in more than allowed. The food there is great, they have pizza, hot dogs, chicken tenders, Snow cones, Ice cream etc. Again the watermine is a great experience for people of all ages. The deepest part of the pool is about 4 feet deep so its not deep either. Overall great park. Theres rentable cabanas and pavilions as well as rentable pavilions outside the water park on the Lake. The price is reasonable as well.
This was my first time going here and i had a blast. The staff was were perfessional and polite. The rides were perfect for my age group of kids. They had everything my children wanted to do. 9mo 4yr 7yr 8yr 14yr So i was very pleased that no one felt left out. We were able to grill in a nice shaded area and take some food within the park. Parking wasnt a problem neither. Great place for families.
Loved it ️.... will definitely go back again
First time there and was there almost all day! Loved that you can bring your own food in!!!!
My family loves this place. The prices are reasonable and you can bring food or eat there. Friendly staff. We always have a great time.
My boys (6 & 8) really enjoys this place. Only go when I have the buy one get one free deal. Variety of different water activities. Plenty of life guards and workers to assist you.
This is the best water park in the immediate area.
Good place to swim. Slides and most play areas are meant for children 12 and under. Our kids used to go here a lot when they were younger and we went back recently now that they are teens and they just did not have as much fun as they used too.
Excellent summer fun! Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to opening to avoid super long waits in the Q/line. Bring your own food to save money but NO GLASS (or alcohol). I read earlier, dismal reviews of the bathrooms however, when my family visited, both the male & female bathrooms were clean and had enough t.p., soap, etc.
The Waters Park staff was excellent. Probably the most attentive Ive ever seen at a waterpark. They let you bring in outside food which was very helpful has the concessions were a bit expensive. It was a tad crowded even on a weekday.
Place was too crowded, customers were rude, overall the place has gone down hill. To be fair it is no fault of the watermine
Just got back from Water Mine after not going for a few years and theyve got great improvements! The new splash pad area is super fun and perfect for smaller kids as theyve got a water table area, as well as a big bridge area -- though theres no avoiding getting wet there so toddlers and younger might not want to venture there, even with parents. And its fenced separately from the main area of the park. Water Mine also added three big slides to the main area which are super fun. My 7-yr-old loved the blue slide as its the slowest. Everything else has remained the same: attentive lifeguards, a clean space, and the ability to bring your own food and drink (no glass). Not thrilled about their inclement weather policy, especially as we arrived in the middle of an unforecast downpour to discover that you still only *might* get a raincheck if a storm shuts down the park that was not expected. We waited it out, decided it was passing and got lucky. At any rate, a great local day out with the kids! Oh yeah, and get there early if you want umbrella spots!
