Horrible experience. Do not rent from this organization. I rented a canoe online and they took my money but when I went to pick it up, they had a stupid post it note sign that said theyre closed today for dock repairs. This was not listed on their page and they never answer their listed number. Hopefully theyll have the decency to refund me.

Be sure to call before you go. They are sometimes away at various events. Rental rates are reasonable. Good views of boats and seaplanes. Also a good spot to watch the Blue Angels in August.

This was my first time going there and my sister ended up dislocating her shoulder. There was no assistance whatsoever. We got in the canoe and kayaks on our own (with no assistance, no one even asked us if we needed help) and out of the kayak on our own. My sister was clearly struggling to get into her single kayak and ended up flipping and dislocating her shoulder from trying to stabilize herself by grabbing the deck. When coming back to the deck, I had to ask one of my friends to stabilize the canoe so my cousin and I could get out. And no workers were even on the deck when we came back!I would highly recommend the UW Waterfront Activities Center over this place. Better assistance and services

Not for inexperience kayakers, they don’t help you get in the water or give guidance on where to go. It’s pretty much self serve. They also don’t give wet bags so don’t bring valuables with you as they have no where to store your things. Also because of COVID they are using bleach to sanitize their kayaks, which ruined our clothes. We didn’t notice until we had left. Not too environmentally friendly putting bleach on the kayaks since these boats are going in the lake and Cedar River.

We had high hopes for this place because of the reviews and location. After calling multiple times with no answer, we decided to drive over anyway. We were met with very poor service and bad attitudes. We were left to ourselves to launch and disembark having been told it should be over there; we didnt need help, but its very odd that no one even asked if we needed assistance. Very disappointing experience overall, and the worst experience at any watercraft rental Ive ever been to.

Very helpful staff. Renting the boat was cheap and easy. I came here this past summer and it was incredibly fun.

Odd experience. Ragtag place with tons of driftwood in the lake. Not their problem but it takes away from the lake beauty. We wound up going to Lake Union. What an upgrade!

RRC is a great place for kayaking, paddleboarding, and rowing. They offer a learn to row program for adults and rowing camps for middle school - college. Awesome coaches, and great people, and a beautiful lake.

Do not waste your time! One day before going there I called to confirm woeking hours, they say 11am they open rental. Me and my wife were there at 10:58am and no one showed up until 11.30 am. We went to Sammamish lake, and had a very nice time kayaking there .

Love the staff and the coaches. Took up rowing the long boat after 40 years and loving every minute of it - even when Im gassed. ;-) I rowed for UW in 75 and it came back to me like riding a bike. The other rowers are jewels and we have mixed boats. It is great. Come out and try it some time. Good for all levels. If your over 40 and want to try there is a barge boat that has the seats and oars like an eight-man long boat but no possibility of tipping.
