Theres a neon sign in the shape of the Burning Man logo inside of the window.. Wonder what it means??I attended a performance of The Dresser there last winter. The performance was excellent, the seating was comfortable couches arranged in a stadium seating arrangement, and the audience was friendly and social. The only disappointment was that I had to leave.. Already on my way back!!
After several years of talking about going to see Buttcracker and missing opportunities because tickets and shows sell out fast we finally had the pleasure of joining Bruka Theater for Buttcracker 7: Osmosis - YAY!! For December 2016, Buttcracker 7 performance was a mashup of Wizard of Oz meets hillbillies for lack of better and let the side splitting laughter take over from start to finish lol.Purchasing tickets like the other reviewers shared was easy-peasy but be sure to not hesitate like we have in the past or you will miss out on a unique take on a classic holiday favorite, that will have you laughing hysterically and enjoying every moment of this wonderful theater troupe.Side note: I must share with you that I have gone to traditional Nutcracker ballet performances since I was a little girl and my husband & I continue with the tradition by trying to go every other year while enjoying the Reno Philharmonic - just a little bit of our history with the Nutcracker story.Continuing - we have been interested in changing things up a bit so had an idea of what was in store for us and this spin with hillbillies meets Wizard of Oz was wildly entertaining and kept us in stitches. We are sooo glad we spent the evening with Bruka Theater - it was a HOOT! THE costumes, makeup, set design, choreography and the storyline was everything we hoped it would be and then some. We look forward to seeing other performances here and of course another Buttcracker again! Thanks Bruka Theater again for a wonderful evening!
This was a great theatre! They have comfortable seating and they have drinks and snacks available. The acoustics were great and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Went to a play with a friend of mine. I had been once before and enjoyed it. The seating is comfortable, bathrooms are clean, bar is well stocked and reasonable. I do feel that their ticket prices are a little high, but that is just my opinion. I have always enjoyed little theater companies like this. Fun if you are looking for something different to do.
I love this place. Never seen a bad show here. And the staff are walking legends.
Never a disappointment, community theater with pro level acting. Plus the costuming is always amazing!!
Wonderful . Love the staff and ambience and the plays are always enjoyable
Awesome alternative theater!
Comfortable atmosphere where you can watch some pretty quirkey plays. They also have a delicious bar and snack bar downstairs.
Always a great time!
Great theater for the size and the price of the ticket!
Wonderful, creative community theater productions with talented actors!
I wanted to see a show that my friend was playing in and go to the rummage sale but the building is not handicap accessible . That sucks for Reno
A great place for local theatre.
Charming theater. Looking forward to Victor Voctoria!
A quirky little theater troupe that offers big entertainment. Whether its comedy, musicals or serious shows your looking for, you can find something at Bruka!
Community theatre with good acoustics and very comfortable seating. Acting seemed a bit forced
Good effort.
Ive been to two shows here. There was a person in the audience at each performance who insisted on verbally inserting herself into the performers lines in a way that eas incredibly disturbing and disrespectful to the performers and the audience. Whats worse, she seems to know the management, and they tolerate her obnoxious behavior (even though I spoke with the proprietor after it happened the first time and she seemed on the surface to understand my upset). After the second time, I wont be going back to a theater that makes it so clear that its only concerned about a few annoying insiders.
Nice place! Have a lot of different Themes for what ever you are there for
Intimate theater with generally good productions, comfortable seats.
Great fun, comfy small venue that makes it personable. Great shows! A must see!
Good, casual venue, with entertaining performances throughout the year. A great place to have in downtown Reno.
