I stopped going to Washoe County Golf Course for about 5 years because it was an armpit of a golf course. Barren spots in the fairways and some some greens were burned out it was just awful. It seemed nothing was manicured nothing was cut very well it was just a waste of golf. The end of last year and most of this year the courses in a really really good shape and it was enjoyable to play when it was in really good shape because its a challenging course. I hope they keep up the good work with it
Fantastic muni course. Always well kept greens and nice fairways. The elevated greens can pose a bit of a challenge on approach/short game but duly welcome. Awesome staff, decent bar and clubhouse. Definitely a favorite for me and the boys from work when were looking for somewhere close by to play on the weekend.
The staff was great. The course was in decent shape, lots of shade trees to duck under. We enjoyed the round.
Good time, good course.... Oldest course in Reno.... Competitive but comfortable
Just Another Day in Paradise you win some you lose some
Today was my first time at this course and i absolutely love it. The greens were a little slow but very enjoyable cant wait to go back
Great disc golfing!
Washoe has been a great course for locals and beginners. Always supports Reno high school golf team. Just remember please repair divots with the grass and sand mixture and fix your ball marks on the greens. Keep up the good work.
Decent course for the money, but it needs a lot of TLC. Greens are lumpy and squishy, and approach areas around the greens are bare dirt and rocks.
Nice greens professional atmosphere four star
Washoe County golf courses of pretty typical County Golf Course. It is not glamorous, it will make you feel welcome and comfortable. There is a nice Pro Shop with reasonable prices. The fairways and greens are perfectly serviceable. The bar and restaurant has a nice deck outside.
Nice muni course. Generous fairways with elevated greens. Great staff and pro shop. Restaurant does a nice job too.
The staff is always so friendly and helpful
Had a great time
First time at this course and got a great deal at “Golf Moose”. Course was in good shape, Staff was nice, range & putting greens are available, did not stop at the restaurant, good carts. It was a beautiful day when we played (84 degrees 7-12 mph wind), we started at 12:30 (after a tournament but you wouldn’t know it), pace of play was pretty good (since this was our 1st time here). Course is pretty flat with plenty of water hazards & sand traps, seemed like a fairly easy course till you get to the greens, which were mostly fast and on a slope. Lots of cute woodchucks & squirrels scampering all over the place! The par 4’s seemed long to us (450+). The wind picked up on the back nine around 2ish, but it felt really refreshing with the sun beating down.We had a good time and the Ladies playing ahead of us were really nice and played with good pace. (Just about a 4hr. Round)We recommend playing here and stay the night in Reno after (makes for a nice weekend).
Nice course and not to tough
Great public course & great ladies & mens clubs!
Definitely okay golf course but very cheap to play at
Its a great course for the price. Easy open fairways for the most part. Bring your own ice if you want to keep your drinks cold. They do not have ice chests like most other courses.
That Anthony kid at the bar has to be the hardest worker I know. He needs a raise.
Awesome city course
I got a great twilight rate of $16 to walk 18 holes. My 5 stars = Great course for that money, cool people, greens were mostly in excellent shape, very walkable & its a really cool piece of land - especially the back 9, which gets hillier & more difficult.
Night disc golf was amazing.
The course is where I learned to play the game. It is what I consider a pretty short and very forgiving course. The front is old school, tree lined fairways, par 4s that play mid to high 300s to the low 400s, small greens and two bunkers guarding the greens on about every hole. The back is an entirely different course for the most part, more quiet and closed off and a bit more difficult than the front. If you are a low handicapper this place is great to go play and shoot low. It is also fun for the high handicappers, very difficult to lose balls here. Staff is great in the pro shop, they remember you, ask about family and needle you on your game. Bartenders are always great!
Great experience. GREG IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING.
Have a great time there. Its clean and beautiful scenery
Open course, but small greens, harder than it looks, good green fees!!!
CLOSED!!! Stop posting that youre open on the web while actually being closed.
The staff here is terrific. Good muni course, nothing amazing but a fun place to play a few rounds.
Good basic public course. Expect areas under repair. Green fees are reasonable. Check for deals online. Hosts many events.
It is a great place to play golf. I
Friendly staffs and price is reasonable :-) not the best course but fair enough :-) thanks jeff
A real fun golf course. Pretty flat so you dont loose alot of balls!! Great for us who only get out a few times per year!
Maintenance goin on so only played front 9..
Good course, fair priced food and drinks, could use a little T.L.C there are some rough spots, but good for the money. Nice mature landscape. Oldest course in Reno. Nice staff. Id recommend this course.
They got a real nice snack bar nearly make a good hamburger and fries
Course is in great shape!
Great golf, good food, friendly staff
Good course for the value. Has a couple of very good par 3s. Always fun to play.
Always fun and laid back.
A fun course with lots of elevation changes. Challenging but fun at the same time.
Always a pleasure to come up to this golf course for what its worth.
Course looks in great shape and beautiful snow on mountains!
Love the course. Great value, I play here 2 or 3 times a week. Great staff.
10 dollars for a large bucket of balls for the driving range seems a little steep.
Great course, decent shape, and decent price. With that decent price comes a hidden cost and thats a slow moving course. Every time I play here I enjoy it but I feel like Im waiting ten minutes per stroke.
I just had the opportunity to play a glow round of disc golf at this amazing venue. If they put in a permanent disc golf course Id play everyday.
Lots of fun!
The kids program is great and the bar staff is pretty friendly.
Good golf course nothing fancy but worth it for the price. Back nine is much nicer than the front
Greens still need work. A lot of mixed grasses makes for a bumpy roll.
Easy going, good driving range. Pay attention to what they charge you.
Great food, beautiful scenery from the deck, fun golf at a reasonable price.
Great staff. Wide open course. Unfortunately, fungus on and around the greens.
Great place to golf in Reno. Beautiful views, excellent and friendly staff, nice course with plenty of challenge.
This is a Huge Grandfather of a Golf Course. Walk or Ride a Cart its a fun place to go if you enjoy Golf. And its not too pricy.
Great location, and you can walk for $6 after 6pm.Decent course with manicured grass where you need it
Nice golf course people are always courteous and kind and fair
I walked this course as someone close to me played golf. Nice course.
Great course. Great location. Its dated but not in disrepair.
Decent prices with cart. Course has challenging front and back nines. Needs maintenance and repairs to trees and cart paths.
Decent haircut the wait was a bit long but that could be seen as a good reason to get a haircut here
I love playing Washoe, fast, friendly & easy going!
Great public course. Greens are well kept and fast.
Good Course for the price. Very wide open.
Iove living there
Great staff......good course......good bargain.
The staff is amazing, always so full of smiles
Course is open and in poor condition. It is not inexpensive either.
Nice course, wide fairways.
Great open range, pro store is affordable.
Great course prices on Groupon, greens a little bumpy, need more attention.
Great course to take the kids
Cool place. Needs upgrades.
Awesome golf course
Terrible greens, mediocre experience, waste of time and money.
Server working hard but, kitchen....
Beautiful place great view

Inexpensive and easy to get on.

The back nine is a hidden gem

Amazing food at the restaurant here.
