Marked Studios is hands down the best tattoo place Ive found in the Reno area!!Artist Gaia is truly gifted with creative ideas for design and flow. This is the biggest piece Ive had done, and Gaia has been nothing but professional and focused. Her ability to incorporate new ink with the existing ink I had is seemless! The only downside is that shes too good, and I have to wait longer than I had hoped to finish my sleeve.If youre looking for a clean, professional, and reputable place to get ink, do yourself a favor and check out Marked Studios!!

The service wasnt very good. I had the Chiapinno sitting in front of me with no dinnerware. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a spoon. The Chiapinno had no flavor. The mussels and shrimp were over cooked. The scallops was the only good part.

I was in this past week for my ninth tattoo, and first at Marked. My experience was wonderful. Taylor did an impeccable job, and was lovely to work with. Overall, everyone is incredibly friendly, and the care the take with clients is the absolute best. They supply you with soap and lotion for aftercare, and even call to follow up on your healing progress. I’ll be going back as soon as I have a new idea.

Very poor quality work. Artist decided to freehand without consulting with me and the piece is completely crooked, uneven, and just looks bad. The shop sort of tried to help me out, but I’ll likely have to take it elsewhere to get it covered up.

Gaia is an incredible artist with a strong moral compass and a great sense of humor. I plan to finish the sleeve I started with her in the near future but wanted to review my impression of Marked now because of their cleanliness, honesty, and general great attitudes about life.You wont find a more honest, friendly, and most importantly; incredibly talented group of artists. Definitely not in Reno.I appreciate her honesty, be it blunt and funny, but appreciated nonetheless. She has a decade of experience and it certainly shows. I am SO blown away and this is only the start of something great!My wife has also been tattooed by Gaia and can verify every word Ive typed.Again, best shop in town. Best artists. Best vibe.I will knock one thing a tiny bit but its really only because theyre a bunch of GREAT artists: youre gonna have to wait for an opening.Theyre great. People want them. Its a part of the game. So dont get poopy if they tell you, you have to wait a few weeks.The juice will be worth the squeeze.Wait and reep the rewards.Five stars, yo!

I got my fifth tattoo from Marked Studios in October. My experience was great; I sent in my idea and reference photos on the Marked Studios website, and was matched with Mark Moots. I met with Moots for a consultation in early August and had my tattoo done in late October. The interaction with all the staff was very friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the studio is welcoming and clean - I have found that some tattoo studios can be intimidating to be in, but I did not feel that from any of the staff or the vibe of the place itself. Mark Moots was professional, kind, and placed a beautiful piece of art on my body. One of the things I liked most about my experience that I have not found at other studios is that I was sent home with a care package with moisturizer, cleanser, and instruction for how to care for my tattoo. I think more studios should do this because it makes the experience less stressful and, likely, more successful. I would definitely recommend Marked Studios for your first tattoo if you find other studios to be intimidating.

I got my old tattoo covered up by Taylor. She was so friendly and she made my tattoo experience so much better than my previous one. This place is expensive, but definitely worth it. Taylor is an amazing artist. The whole atmosphere is great. It’s clean and the artists here actually care about your art. Taylor deserves 10 stars! I’ve recommended her to all my friends. I’ll be coming back for more in the future!

Taylor did an amazing job with my newest tattoo. She was very professional and did an amazing job of making sure I was okay throughout the whole process. Her lines were dead straight and her hand was not too heavy. I would totally recommend this studio to anyone! It was very clean and comfortable!

The tattoo artist was not into my idea. It was rushed and unthought out. I will be having another artist at another shop fix it. I am very disappointed because it is a nice shop, i thought Id get a great tattoo.

This is an awesome shop. The artists at Marked studios are very talented and have a very professional attitude. I have been a repeat customer for years and recomend them to anyone looking for nice art. If you are looking for something real small this shop does a have a $100.00 minimum and charge $200.00 per hour.

First time getting tattooed at Marked Studios. Went for the free tattoos for Veterans on Veterans Day, awesome staff and artists, even if the artist that did my tattoo was from another shop everyone’s work was awesome.

Maya did my first tattoo and it turned out better than I could have hoped. I came from Oregon but Natalie made it so easy to organize, schedule, and plan. Everyone was easy to work with, professional, and kind. It was a very good experience and the atmosphere is wonderful! I would highly recommend Marked Studios! I did lots of research on different studios in the area and landed here, it was a perfect fit and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for more pieces!

My tattoo artist was Taylor. This was my first ink (at 75) and she made the experience a positive one. I am delighted with my artwork. The atmosphere is perfect..the artists friendly. Went here with my girlfriend, her sisters, and mother while they got a set of matching tattoos. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Mark was the guy who tattooed them all and was the nicest guy. When I visit Reno again Ill be stopping by this shop to score some ink.

This by far is the best experience I have had getting a tattoo! Mark McKinnon was ( and will now always be) my tattoo artist. Mark is the owner of Marked Studios and is booked pretty far out but well worth the wait! I was specifically in search of a realist tattoo artist. This is how I found him. He totally got what I was going for and designed an original tattoo around what I told him I was looking for. His staff is excellent at keeping in touch with you about your upcoming appointments. Mark himself will email you a sketch of your artwork a week prior to your appointment to see if you have any questions or want any changes. The studio itself is the nicest Ive ever been to. Not the average Reno tattoo parlor. Not that there is anything wrong with the other places, this studio is simply more pleasing to the eye and is very clean and professional. After the completion of my tattoo, I was given a kit to take care of my new artwork. I call it that because it truly is a piece of art. By far my favorite tattoo to date! The kit has instructions for the following days on how to best take care of your new artwork, along with a bottle of cleaning product and emollient lotion to take care of the tattoo. I was also given an extra waterproof bandage. Never has this happened to me and it was much appreciated! I highly recommend Marked Studios for your next or especially your first tattoo! The artists here are great. The gentleman that did mine (unfortunately forgot his name), did exactly as I wanted, and had a nice light touch. For a first tattoo that was medium in size, that gentleness was nice. However, the main drawback from this place is the pricing. It can be very expensive. I believe they charge 200 an hour, so at 2:30 hours I was charged 300 because they round up. Seemed a little unfair to me. Overall I came out of it positive, but I definitely cant go back unless Im stacked.

I got a flower with lettering tattoo done by Brooke and I am more than satisfied with how it came out. Its very pretty and I like the compliments I get from other women at my gym. It kind of makes me want to get another tattoo lol. The inside of Marked Studios looks very nice and clean. Brooke was very friendly and easy to talk to which helps when youre trying to get your mind off the tattoo needle thats going into your skin, haha! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place.

I just had a two day session with Brook to cover my scares on my breasts from breast cancer. She did an amazing job. Even better than amazing. I travel from Foresthill, CA because my friends put a fund together to help me with this journey. I will always tell people about Marked Studios. I will never go any where us. ALL the staff were supportive. After we were finished Brook and I hugged and cried together.

We had a great experience at Marked Studios. The shop is spotless, the staff all seem very skilled and professional. Natalie and Noel are 2 of the nicest people and our artist, Chris, is amazing. Very friendly and personable. He did exactly what we wanted (Mother/Daughter tattoo) and was not phased by our multitude of questions-being first timers! We will most certainly be going back to Marked for additional tattoos! :D

I travelled all the way from the Midwest to experience this place for myself. I was in no way disappointed. I have had many friends tell me if I could get in here its the only place to get a tattoo. I made my appointment a few weeks before I flew in, the process was so simple and I was contacted right away by the office manager. Everyone there from the minute I stepped in was so friendly and helpful. I was nervous but they set my mind at ease. The entire experience was so different than anything I am used to in a tattoo shop. After all the goodness just being there, I ended up with the best tattoo I have ever seen. There will be a new group of fans planning tattoo vacations from Kansas. You guys are amazing, thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Amazing talent from every artist in Marked Studios. I worked with Mark and he did a shoulder piece that is beyond perfect. He was always on time and all appointments were prearranged, he kept the process constantly moving forward. He was very professional in that way. The thing I adored most (besides talent) was that their sense of humor was out of this world.

I want to take a moment to recognize everyone at Marked studios. I went to their Veterans Day tattoo event and received my very first army tattoo. Not only were they super friendly, but their studio is modern and clean. I had the pleasure of being tattooed by the owner, Mark. He has a really awesome attitude and hes a talented artist. I could tell that they were doing this event out of the goodness of their hearts simply because they wouldnt accept any money I offered. I also tried to tip Mark, my artist, and he wouldnt accept. He said, thats not necessary, this event is for you guys. Thank you for your service. He then gave me a hug, after care products, and sent me on my way with a smile and a bitchin tattoo. Marked studios definitely has my business in the future.

I just had my very first tattoo done in Marked Studios by Mackenzie and I have to say the experience was amazing. Mackenzie is a great artist and a great person. We got along really well and she was able to make me feel so calm and happy. I think the flow and energy in this establishment was perfect for me. Mackenzies attention to detail was imaculact. She really went further then I imagined with this piece. I felt very comfortable and the establishement was very clean and professional. Everyone there was very friendly and that means a lot to me. Went here to get a previous botched tattoo fixed, and was recommended Moses. I had to go in and speak with him and put down a deposit, and then he told me to email him pictures of what I had originally wanted. So we emailed back and forth but it was at least a week between each email and it was difficult to get a response back from him via email, so I found it frustrating that this was the way he wanted to communicate because it took so long. When he did the actual tattoo it turned out a million times better than what the previous guy had done so I was happy with it and wanted him to do the other half of the tattoo so I spoke with him about it, and then emailed him pictures that night. After not hearing back from him, I went back in a few months later for touchups, and spoke again with him and he told me to re-send the email. So I did. Then after not hearing from him for over a month again, I sent an email asking if I needed to find a different artist. He replied that he was busy and sorry and I had fallen through the cracks, and he was passing me off to another artist in the business. I felt very disappointed. I had liked his work and obviously wanted the other half of my tattoo done in the similar style to the first so it would look like one piece, but I was obviously not a valued customer. I wish he had told me in the first place he would be too busy for me so I couldve looked somewhere else when I had the time. The place was clean and it was a different environment than most other tattoo places I have been in which I liked, but not worth going back. I had a very bad experience with my very first tattoo, and this was my second and it has ended up not being a ton better. The artists seem great, but if thats how all the artists treat their clients, it is definitely not worth going there. You want to go somewhere where they make you feel like a valued client and dont just ignore you. I put up with too much and gave them too many chances, I wouldnt suggest them to anyone. I only give it 2 stars because it is a clean environment, and when you do manage to get work done, it seemed to be quality, but thats just compared to one very bad experience, so maybe theyre not even worth 2 stars???

Parker was awesome with working on my design, I was working with uv ink and incorporating negative spaces and he had such great ideas for my design that really put the cherry on top 10/10 would be inked here again

A couple things 1 it has a total hair salon feel to it theres no chill vibe or Tattoo essence about this place 2 when I walked in to check this place out they were all drinking ALCOHOL yes alcohol like they were at a BBQ chillin at a pool party or some s*** very unprofessional very irresponsible its funny how they say a good tattoo is not cheap and cheap tattoos not good what happens when people put hard working money down to get a tattoo that comes out horrible because you have had a couple beers and are drunk and who wants to get a tattoo by a drunk person if anything the person getting the tattoo should be a little drunk lol but in all seriousness super unprofessional I would recommend going to any place other than Marked studios

Amazing art work done for a great price, the only place ill ever go to get artwork done, clean enviroment, awesome artists and customer service, I highly recommend this studio to everyone who thinks about getting a tattoo.
