We really enjoyed the old master Willy! There are few performers who put their whole heart into a performance, and he is one of the few. Advice to those who do as Willy does...they’re serious about no smoking...ANYTHING, so those who lit up during the concert to “enhance” the performance were promptly escorted out of the venue by police and staff...Willy didn’t light up, and neither should the concert goers...keep that outside in the parking lot! Beside those distractions, Willy and family put on a terrific hour and a half concert with nary a break in the music, one song after the next, as is their practice for concerts if you’ve ever attended before. Better get on board the Willy Nelson concert train and attend before he retires or the music stops. He & his family are a rare musical treat!
We had a great time, the ushers were awesome, seating was wonderful, and of course Willie was amazing! We really enjoyed it! Great facility!
Had front row, center seats for Natalie Grant and Danny Gokey Christmas show. Awesome show, and the seats and atmosphere couldnt be beat!! Definitely a much needed timeout from holiday stress and put us in the Christmas spirit. Thanks, Redding Civic!!
Cirque was awesome. However, selling tickets for Section 104 should be blocked out. You cannot see the entire stage. It was a lot of money to only see part of the show.
We visited the Redding Civic Auditorium on Sunday, December 8, 2019, for the Cirque Dreams Holidaze performance. Upon entering the main lobby, there were long lines on each side (one for the bar, one for the snack bar) which backed up to the main entrance. There is a bar area downstairs, but for some reason, there is also a makeshift bar setup in the main lobby and the entire area gets clogged up and immediately makes it difficult to move around. While some of our party quickly made it through the bar line, there were some of us who wanted coffee/snacks, so we also waited in the line on the opposite end of the lobby. After a 20+ minute wait, we got to the counter and were told that coffee and soda service was backed up an additional 15 minutes and that anything we ordered would not be ready prior to the start of the show. There was no staff member out front stating that information or we wouldnt have wasted our time. Ridiculous!! Very unorganized and somewhat irritating. The show itself was great; however, the staff at the venue was not so great. The staffing levels need to be worked on and the staff members that are working, albeit probably volunteers, leave a lot to be desired. Ill keep this in mind if/when I return to this venue.
Terrific show, Cheap Trick were excellent. Venue was fine, great sound, competent help from ushers. Only criticism is slight, in that I dont go to shows to drink, but the very long lines in the lobby of people waiting to buy a drink is not a good look and makes entering somewhat difficult - could the venue manage to open another drink-serving area?
Normally the concerts at the civic are always great, however, this time not so great. We spent a half hour in the drink line and missed the opening act completely because of this, due to the amount of people in my opinion, it would’ve been good to have a few more drink vendors available for people. Billy Currington took his sweet time coming on and we waited and waited and waited, then he only did a short set of his own songs before singing other artists’ songs, was expecting more for the money I paid and was disappointed that it wasn’t a longer show.
Went to see Cirque on Dec 8th in Redding. We were seated in section 103 / row e / seats 1-6. The worst seats ever !! we could only see the front 2 performers because the curtains were closed partial on each side of the stage, and these seats were upper lever to the side. At the end of the row there was a divider that was so high people in seats 5-7 couldnt see the stage at all. Completely Ridiculous to sell seats that were the same price as other seats with this type of view. We left at intermission.
EXCELLENT SHOW. Fantastic entertainment and costumes. WHAT TALENT!!!’ Perfect for the Hilidays. Hope it comes back next year.
GREAT SHOW FROM A GREAT ARTIST! APPRECIATED THE CROWD CONTROL BY THE STAFF AT THE CIVIC!
The band was fabulous! - especially the saxophone/flutist/keyboard player. However, Marshall Tucker has limited vocal range and its time for him to retire. His band carried him.
We love the Christian concerts that you are bringing to the northstate. Keep it up!
We saw Jackson Brown! It was a great concert! The facility was very well organized. The bar was great too!
One of the greatest shows Ive ever seen. The ushers were so helpful and courteous. I just wish you would put more vending machines in. Other then that awesome experience.Thank your staff and crew for us .Curly and Jackie
Had a wonderful time at HOME FREE concert!Loved the help of very kind ushers!Facility is beautiful and very clean!Wish there were more food concession variety.
We had great seats a comfortable facility but Marshall Tucker was a bit of a letdown. After waiting 20 years to see these guys their concert did not meet my expectations.
Jackson Browne put on a great show - been to dozens of shows in the Civic & the new acoustics made a huge difference. The best it has ever sounded.
Went to a Lee Brice concert here & it was really, really good...awesome show & amazing band!!! Loved the opening act as well-Leaving Austin.
The show was fantastic! Chairs were comfortable, volunteers pleasant all around a fantastic evening.
Thia is a very nice venue we will be back for more concerts in the future... Thank you staff was also amazing and didnt put up with stupidity. That you for doing your part to keep everyone safe.
Ive been very happy with all shows Ive seen at the Civic. Great, friendly, helpful individuals always there to guide us to our seats.
Watching Home Free Vocal Band at your venue felt intimate and wonderful! the ushers and staff were great and the Home Free Vocal Band was just amazing! I look forward at returning to see them the next time they perform at the Civic Center! The acoustics were excellent, the lighting was incredible and the performance was spectacular! Thank you for having such a great venue for such amazing performers and giving the audience a chance to feel so welcomed by all!
It was very hard to see around the big person that sat in front of me and the same thing happened with my date. The sound was bad and I could understand about half of the words or less, compared to the music from Jackson Browne that I play on my CD player in my car and at home, which is excellent. The fake smoke caused me to cough. I never plan to go to a concert at the Redding Civic Auditorium again. I spent over two hundred dollars for two lousy seats.
Went to see Jeff Dunham today. He had the place busting as gut. Great show! Staff very helpful. Overall great experience. ..
Great show! Ive seen to Jackson Browne many times but I think tonight show was one of my favorites!
Me and my daughter really enjoyed everything we love the girls night ️
Jackson Browne was awesome! Great seats, wonderful ushers, fantastic crowd! Please bring more acts like this t o Redding.
Great venue. Could use more restrooms. Will definitely see more shows there. Easy in. Plenty of parking.
It was a great show! Just as funny as on tv! Great date night for me husband and I. I hope Jeff comes to Redding again
Awesome show ! Redding Civic was absolutely 1st class. My wife & I had balcony seats, and they upgraded us to 3rd row, dead center. The people in charge now are really doing an amazing job. Thank you
The show was great! The seating sucks. Flat foot seating on the main floor made it impossible to enjoy or even see much of the show. Very uncomfortable trying to peer between the heads in front while they were constantly moving around. Will not choose main floor seating again if I decide to even see another show again at the Redding Civic Auditorium.
Show: Little Feat 5/29/2019.It was a great show. We sat 5th row center.Technical problem: Music came through fine, but vocals were muddy some of the time. Sound personnel should have been aware of this, and fixed it, but the problem continued on and off throughout the show.
The relationship among the guys seems genuine during the concert. Being a VIP pass holder, it was a bit disappointing. The guys seemed pretty bored and disinterested in that portion of the evening. Yawning, biting their fingernails and picking their teeth were just a few of the headlines during the Q&A. Great vocals, though boys! Good luck in your future performances and sales!
I was sad that Marshall Tucker band was so out of tune. Plus the sound was awful. It broke my heart it literally made me so sad I left about 4 songs in. I paid like $68 a ticket. It was just too sad I loved Marshall Tucker
Great concert and everyone was very helpful with my accommodations due to a temporary disability cant wait for the next one.
The staff were extremely helpful in assisting with seating with our daughter who has disability issues-thank you
I love fishing here to bad some people are putting some kind of devices all over the place and making the most stouped nouis I have ever heard in my life and I should know because I have lived here my entire life and I have never been called a gross person in my life and I dont have any thing to do with this matter so get a life and run like hell because I dont talk like that to people who ever is doing this needs to stop
This concert was amazing. Lee Brice had such great energy.
Needtobreathe concert was fantastic. The acoustics were great. Our seats were upgraded when we got there which was s nice surprise.
OMG I had the time of my life. Jeff and the gang were flipping funny as hell. Would do it again anytime.Thank you very much
Excellent show. Comfortable venue. Easy in and Out. Staff was pleasant and professional. Would see another show here again.
Me and my husband had a blast on our Anniversary at the Jeff Dunham show. Hope you will have him back and we can go again. Thank You.
First, we were moved from thereserved seats from good end of the row seats to poor middle of the row seats. The opening act was not conducive to the headliner. The sound was terrible, too loud. WhenFire on the mountain was unrecognizable we left.
Jackson Browne still has a great voice! Great venue too!
Great concert! Great venue!!
Great show, great venue. Loved having the standing area up front and Cheap Trick was so worth the money.
Little Feat was fantastic! Section 111 was closed, so we received substitute seats in the 3rd row which were closeup views of the entertainers. It was a great night.
Redding Civic is such a great place for live music! A friend and I saw Apocalyptica the 4 cello band play tunes from Metallica...WOW! Amazing! Love that we have the Redding Civic to see such shows!
We really enjoyed the show...jo Koy handled it spot on with the heckler! Only wished the show lasted longer️
Cheap Trick here and just ROCKED AND ROLLED IT!!Another great show from the one of the top bands of all time!!
I love going here for concerts just saw My favorite band Marshall Tucker and it was awesome
NeedtoBreathe was so refreshing. Great musicians sharing their big hearts. I love their sound but you have to experience them live to truely appreciate the group.
The Jeff Dunham show was sooo great! But as far as the Civic Auditorium the chairs needs to be retired...my chair had broken arm rests and the metal was sharp so I had to keep my arms away from them. Also, the rows are WAY to close together it was hard to let people squeeze by. With all the money coming in from events and shows over the years they should be able to update some major things to keep people wanting to come back for more shows.
This was one of the best shows ever if you love comedy and love to laugh. Jeff Dunham is the best!
Was extremely disappointed, really never liked General Admission. Have to leave someone in the seat, if not you lose it. The band was too loud, meaning you could not hear Billy Currington. The reason we paid to be there.Again very disappointed.
Every experience has been a fantastic experience at redding civic auditorium! Only wish they would get more Broadway Tour Musicals throughout the year.
Great time, excellent treatment by staff working the event, only negative is could have provided an additional bar, one bar not enough for crowd size, long line waiting to get a drink, other than that, great evening!
Comfy seats - great show
Thanks for the upgraded seat. The show was amazing, made even more special seeing it from center stage row 2.
The band played well but Doug can no longer sing. It was painful to watch him try. He should have let the other 3 guys handle the vocals. The place wasn’t packed but we watched people stream out and leave throughout the show. A guy outside wanted his money back but I guess that wasn’t happening. What a disappointment
Ron White is the funniest comedian around! His show was awesome, my face still hurts from laughing! I only wish he had a CD of the tour, it is so funny!
Always a great show at the Redding Civic Auditorium. You have a great staff.
The band was amazing the food sucked but i will never miss another one of their shows
Went and Saw Little Feat It was great had a blast
This place is a decent auditorium. However, the inside is a little shabby. There was also a delay between the camera they pointed at the stage and the screens above it.
Jeff Dunham was awesome the civic center was awesome can’t wait to go back for another event
The show was great and I liked the way everything was set up.
This is my 3rd concert at the RCA and they keep getting better and better! From parking to the ushers guiding you to your seats...easy access, professional and very memorable experience. I highly recommend finding your way to see bands of your liking...veteran or contemporary..you will not be disappointed. My musical tastes have changed over the years since I first saw Cheap Trick on New Years Eve 1980, but seeing them last night reminded me of how much i loved them and what a great live act they really are. The performance of their vast catalog of music spanning my musical lifetime is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. So glad I heard they were coming to town on the radio at the Kwik Kuts in Redding or I would have missed a great night with my wife and family. The opening act of Tommy Odetto only added to the experience, his performance set the tone for the rest of the night. Was very impressed with his bands performance as well as seeing his interaction with fans after the show..Thank you Tommy!
Marshall Tucker Band, on 7/22/19--was the worst show that Ive ever attended at the Redding Civic Auditorium since its inception. The sound engineer and the lighting staff, should be fired. The band, even complained about the lighting several times while on stage. The sound levels were all over the place....some instruments were way too loud, and you could barely hear others. There was a lot of feedback, and vocals were inaudible at times. Couple all this with the fact, that the section that my friends and I had reserved our seats in, was closed off--it made for the worst show the that I have ever experienced at the Civic Auditorium. I expected more, for the nearly $60 price tag.
The Show was just amazing!!! It was a great experience will come for more!!
I saw a sold out Old Dominion concert on Feb. 15th. Although I loved the size of the venue and the sound I will never pay money again to go to this venue. The biggest problem I have is that you cannot have ANY drinks on the GA floor. If you buy reserved seats you are allowed drinks but they must have a lid which costs you an extra $4 on top of the $8 beer or $12 cocktail. You cannot stand inside the door to keep warm & listen to the music. I have never been to this venue before & had no idea until they actually send you an email AFTER you buy tickets to inform you of all of their rules. I do not smoke but there are stupid rules about that too. I am sure they got sued because someone slipped on the floor while at a concert. Give me a break. The lead singer kept cheering the crowd with his beer not realizing nobody was drinking in the GA pit!!! I have been going to concerts since I was 15 & never had restrictions regarding spilling beverages. What a joke. I felt like I was in the high school gym or in my parents living room!!! No spilling of your drinks!!! PASS. TOO MANY RULES!!
Such a helpful Ticketmaster when I called. She helped explained where the best view was with the seating while I looked at the chart online. We have come here for five or six different shows over the last 10 years. The seating is very comfortable and the grounds are lovely to walk around on after.
Best concert!!! He puts on a good show!
So Home Free gets 10 stars in my book but I was very disappointed with the Civic when I got there. I had ordered 1 front row seat in section 7. When I got there I was escorted to the front of stage and was told they needed to find another seat for me. I had bought this ticket for my birthday. I was then seated back in the 7-8th row. So going from front row to a 7th row seat is a little upsetting.
GREAT SHOW. GREAT FOR KIDS. JEFF DUNHAM is AWSOME. PLEASE BRING HIM BACK
Went to a Granger Smith concert and wasnt even able to enjoy it because of how uncomfortable the security made me feel. I asked an event security staff what company they are with and he told me the civic. Ive been a resident here for 33 years and the civic has never had its own security, its always contracted by another company. So after watching the staff work the concert floor like a pack of dogs, picking on girls and putting their hands on people with no just cause, I was lied to. So in the future I will not be a patron of the civic. What a shame.
Little Feat Band concert was a terrible disappointment. Loud, near cacophonous, very poor mixing. We left halfway through the concert
Attended the Little Feat Concert on May 29, 2019. This was our first time at the Redding Civic Center for a concert. We had seats in the middle section, Row M. The sound coverage was not very good. It seemed like we were too close and underneath the PA mains. I went up to the mid section around row AA and the sound was much better. I could hear the horn section and keyboards much more clearly where they were muddled and lost in the mix at Row M. Recommend the PA be upgraded to include speakers pointed toward and mid section up front in addition to pointing straight back as they are now configured. Otherwise excellent show, easy parking. One other negative was the box office and entry was up stairs, maybe 50 and once you got in you had to go back down a bunch of stairs. Would be nice to have lower level access for reserved seating that is up front.
Achmed was awesome sing for my best friend Tammy
The Civic is a great, fun place. The non profit that operated the Civic is firt class
It was a great show!
Great venue and had a blast at the jeff dunham show!!!!!
Jeff Dunham was hilariously funny as always!
Apocalyptica plays Metallica better than Metallica! ed it!!!
Easy parking, great seats, and an awesome performance!
Loved the Jeff Dunham show.
Good venue with good shows at decent prices. Not too big so easy viewing from most seats. Great staff at events and awesome phone customer service with issues.
Had a Great Time. He was Amazed!!!
Great venue, and great concert with Home Free!!
This Venue is ok but like everything in Redding, it is small town mentality trying to pretend to be big City sophosticated. All the seats have a good view of the stage, but there is very little leg room, the people behind you knee you in the head and the aisles are hard to maneuver when there is a full house. My biggest issue with this Venue is their strict policy on photos and videos. In this technological day and age it is ridiculous to pick on patrons, stand over their shoulders and ruin our fun time getting in our faces, threatening us and picking on us throughout our time there. If you go to a real big city venue, they would never waste their time being such annoying sticklers. If the Artists dont mind you capturing your good time and memories forever, then why are the Venues in this town such creeps about it? I think Ill head back to a real citys venue next time and fully enjoy myself without being bothered and accosted by the helpers. We pay waaaaay too much for concert tickets to be treated like criminals. If someone showed up with a professional zoom lens camera then I can understand the concern, but a cell phone picture.. please.
Nice Open Spaces large crowds especially when trying to promote businesses this is the main Center in Redding for not only entertainment but also all kinds of different vendors and there products there offering either through travel or their local
Very friendly staff and wonderful facilities. This Civic center was on the verge of being torn down, but the new management has done a wonderful job of bringing in new events and exciting acts. Redding is all the better for it. Five Stars.
Great smaller venue!
Cheap Trick was awesome!
Great venue, awesome show!
Didn’t sound all that great.
TWO OLD GEEZERS LIKE THESE 2.Bless your heart PKF...ROCK ON BROTHER.
My wife was very excited about seeing Joan Jett tonight and I paid extra money to make sure she sat in the front row. I was told event staff let everyone rush the stage so I paid extra for nothing and her friend has back issues and was unable to stand and missed alot of the concert. Not happy with this at all.
