Lush green heavily forested Park with improved restrooms and about a dozen picnic tables all around the main parking area. Also a Frisbee golf course thats open to the public. Go play a few rounds of Frisbee golf, I have and its great fun for all ages
It was a nice park, very nice looking - until you get to the trails. Trash and tents everywhere. But, getting past the beginning of the trails, it got a lot nicer. Just needs to be cleaned up.
Very quaint and quiet park with plenty of space to move around. Very clean and up to date with everything a park needs. I recommend this park for a picnic, or just to hang out, if you ever are in Red Bluff or live there already.
Great local disc golf course. A grass roots effort to maintain and improve the course keeps it looking good and makes it interesting to play.
Very peaceful spot with lots of shade and an impressive disc golf course. We used it as a rest stop as its very close to the highway. Newer bathrooms were clean. Not as accessible picnic tables for people with disabilities.
Lovely park dont forget to share a beer and a joint with the residents
This is NOT a dog park. However, its a decent place to walk your dog on leash.
Clean. Clear paths. Nice people
Nice Park to go and throw discs at not to long or challenging. You can still lose discs though
A very nice front 9. The back 9 however, is very confusing and most baskets dont have their corresponding numbers.
I play discgolf here alot and love the scenery and the people here.
Great views, plenty of green lawn, and an even better disc golf course.
Im sorry to say but if you dont want to hang with the homeless for the day you might want to choose somewhere else. There is a few camps if you follow the trails through the woods, scary, and so much trash scattered. If you stick to the walking path and can avoid getting hit by disk golfers you might enjoy this place.
Nice disk golf set up.
Beautiful place to take walks. Disk golf course also. Walk your dog enjoy the scenery.
Not like it used to be. I havent taken a walk down there in a long time. I hear that people are playing frisbee golf down there. I will say that the upper end is a lot cleaner than it has been. Check it out it is a beautiful area.
Scary druggies in the parking lot but its winter so I imagine they are not around in better weather. Easy to get to from the highway for us travelers. Lots of play area for pups
Brought the dogs here. Were unsure if dogs were allowed. After looking for signage about dogs we could find none. As he walks with her dogs on leash we discovered a dog drinking fountain among the disc golf course. Soon thereafter we met two other dogs who are running around off leash having a grand time. So we to let our dogs off leash. As far as we could tell there was no fenced-in area so having a dog on good voice command its necessary.
I havent really been into this park. Its usually just where i stop on my way home to eat. Its looks like a nice clean little park.
Has the potential to be a wonderful place to take your family, BUT, I wont because of the semi-permanent residents we encountered on our walk. Sad to see a public park abused like that. Cant blame the city!
Park looks great! Its pure old generation beauty down there. I would book for a party or concert here anytime!
As beautiful as this park is there is an abundance of homeless that live there and throw their tradh all over. The trails are not safe to walk by yourself. This is a frisbee golf park to so watch for flying objects lol
Beautiful environment. We walked our dog and enjoyed the sun for a bit. Nice area to throw tennis ball for Ridge.
Absolutely amazing! Great Disk Golf and BBQ!
Giving this park one star does not do justice to the lack of maintenance, lack of trail preparation, or overall cleanliness or beauty of this park.
Dog Island is the diamond of Red Bluff .Its a place l spent a lot of time in my youth running the trails and floating the creek. Its a great place to walk a dog or your kids or both. It has a 18 hole disc golf course which I play 6 days a week.lf you havent been there yet you should really check it out.PS we should put the creek back.
Most foul disgusting park ive ever been to needles used and broken everywhere used tp everywhere dont let your dog off the leash better yet dont get out of your vehicle
Has a fun fresbee golf course a fun place for the dog has water if you look hard, a great bridge for in the winter, cool as can be Id say.
Frankly speaking I think its much better setting the red bluff river park simply because of the trees! Theres so many different kinds and they are old and gigantic. Especially the Cottonwood .the canopy these along with oaks and firs create is thick dense and shaded. The sunlight streaming downthrough this mini Forest creates light patches and that are awesome to see.
Its overgrown and trashy but its not the worst Ive seen.
Good place to take the whole family.
All right way too many strays
BRING WATER. Very pretty park. Some of the paths are a little overgrown. Was very diappointed that a park open to dogs had no water. There is a fountain but the nob had been removed. It was leaking uselessly all over the ground, though.
James plays disc golf now at DIG (Dog Island Golf). He is getting pretty good, and it is great practice using his prosthetic on the varied terrain. The course is challenging enough to keep our more experienced friends coming back, but doable for a beginner. If you want to use a bathroom, too bad. There are a couple of portapotties, but the actual bathroom is outta commission. Also, be on the lookout for folks enjoying some herb on the course. It is pretty damn common. People are really friendly, though and courteous.
This park has so much potential, nice place for walks, river access, etc..BUT..an unofficial campground for a large homeless and criminal population. The only event ever held here is the Civil War reenactment in April, and does have a disc golf course. Just keep in mind that there is riff raff running around and unfortunately, probably not a good place to take children.
Great disc golf course. Wish it was closer. RedBluff parks and rec need to water it more on the back nine....
Full of the homeless population and we seen two homeless gay men making out about to have intercourse. My children wer not safe here. Cant do zero stars or I would
Good park for being in red bluff.
Love this place best course around by far
Would be great place if not for all the transients
The trails were so rough and ill maintained, it was so difficult for my family and I to go farther than a few hundred feet past the bridge. Also, the bathrooms are boarded up and piles of trash are scattered throughout the park. Its such a shame
Ive played disc golf all over this state for the last few years and I will say this. We are lucky to have such a nice course. The over growth should be delt with a little more often then it has been, so bring a machete but be safe. The bathrooms could be better.
Love the place but honestly not for everybody
Great place if you want to get hit in the head by a disc golfer or step in homeless scat. Otherwise lacking amenities normal people want.
Bums and druggies everywhere. Beware!
Clean park but in the back were the baseball field is a no-go zone alot of tweakers and homeless people down there, and stabing hapend there so dont go to the baseball field.
I used to love this place but it is just scary now.
Its a great place to catch pokemon
Very nice! One disappointment was they allow dogs but no fenced area for off leash socializing.
Nice place to go during the day and play disc golf its a very nice disc golf course
Clean, close to home and the kids love it
Cool place
1 dangerous place. Pit bulls running loose, homelessness, filth
Best disc golf i have ever seen
Disc golf!
Peaceful quiet tranquil
They have an enclosed fenced area for the dogs but they want you to keep the dogs on the least in the fenced area also silly
Nice
Disc golf tho
Quiet and peaceful
It works
Too many homeless people
Sketchy at best, trashy at worse
My old stomping grounds
This is so ghetto bums and broke people asking tourist for
Google maps does not lead you to the park, it brings you to a residential neighborhood with no park access.
Awesome park with lots of mini trails
The disc park. Dog Island Chain Killers.
Freakin cold and boring
