This is my first time here at the trap door escape room in red bank and it was a super fun experience! It is an intensive puzzle that you have to solve in a certain amount of time while scaring you along the way. It is so much fun! The people that worked here, Alyssa and Zoey, were amazing and enthusiastic about their jobs. We booked our next visit in another location before we left the building. Amazing, a must do!!

Awesome escape experience with the full fear factor! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes not only escape rooms but also with a fear aspect. Theyre removing the room soon but the company as a whole is great so whatever is replaced we will most likely come back.

We were really excited to do this as ER fans and horror fans. Unfortunately (and respectfully), due to COVID the haunted attraction part of the room was missing, and regrettably for us, the room is designed around this feature. We knew that risk going in (and likely better with our daughter being on the team), but the amount of puzzles to solve in each part of the experience was certainly lighter than expected. The timing of the puzzles and the logic to get to the solutions are undoubtedly controlled in order to allow scares to happen throughout the experience, so we were often waiting for the hints to kick in to get to the next section of puzzles in each room. The set design, and overall experience was fun, and it would be nice to do this as intended. Struggling with rating because they do offer this “mild” experience outside of COVID times, and do think there should be a bit more puzzling embedded in the experience. (2 enthusiasts and their 6-year old daughter who have done about 80 rooms!)

If your into horror, anything scary or escape rooms this is a must... scared the hat off of one of us..lol..Im definitely going to the other locations...But Bogeyman was definitely a fun #SaveTom

Did the Boogeyman escape at this location. Quality immersion, set design and story telling through multiple rooms. Puzzles used a variety of technology but it felt like a lot of combo locks as the combo lock was always the crux of the room. Good story flow, they give you some hints about the story behind the story as you go.Each room had only a few puzzles and were not always the most elaborate but they were good enough.One of the rooms has a tight crawl space which might have been difficult for persons with limited mobility or people with broad/overweight builds. People who are hard of hearing would also find difficulty here as communication with game master, the story elements and some puzzles were audio based.Sam was our puzzlemaster and she was awesome. She was knowledgeable about the escape rooms in the area and was able to share some suggestions.Overall quality experience. Do recommend for the experience, less for the puzzles themselves.

Went tonight, Katrina and Chris were awesome. Katrina was so friendly and explained everything to us. Had fun with our group. 4 stars only cause we purchased the scariest of the experience and it was not scary. The puzzles were good though. You’ll do fine with the mild or no scare.

We did the trap door escape room in Pennsylvania in November 2019. It was the curez experience. I am sorry this review took so long to write but with the holidays writing this particular review was not high on my to do list. I live in New Jersey. I have done escape rooms twice before with my hudband and LOVED IT. I thought for my sisters 30th birthday it would be a great time and lots of laughs. I am sad to report I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. We bought 7 slots of 16. We were paired with a completely obnoxious group of women. Needless to say we failed our mission and did not escape.i wish I could say it was due to the team failing but it was due to the fact the this group was loud and pushy. They literally would push off doors as and scream on the top of their lungs if we entered a room prior to them. I know the staff saw this because on 3 occasions the staff came in. And helped them Solve certain puzzles they refused to show us. As a matter of fact the only puzzles they did solve were the puzzles that one of us helped them with. I do not reccomend this experience due to the lack of intervening we experienced in our time there.staff members who watched should have pulled me to the side and asked if I wanted a later slot because it was in fact OP en. I JUST WISH IT WAS BETTER.

This place is extremely fun! A friend and I went here to try the escape room experience for the first time - AND WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. It was scary, but really enjoyable. This required a lot of teamwork - great for team building or to know how someone might respond in a scary situation. We were surprised with each room. Try it if you haven’t, you will not regard it. Thank you to our game host, Josh!Cannot wait to return for another theme!

A friend and I came in for the Bogeyman room, and had a beyond amazing time. Quite scary, but in a mind-boggling great way. Gamemasters Jason and Chris were fabulous hosts and were quite thorough with the rules and expectations of the game.

Very fun experience. did Bogeyman on full fear factor with 2 of my friends and one of them had a full on panic attack. the staff was kind enough to pause the whole thing to check on her and let her out, then let me and my other friend finish on no fear, even going overtime. would definitely come back

Trap door has taken the escape room concept and made it even more interesting. The only reason why I would rate this place as 4 stars because the gamers were not very good. All these game oriented places need good gamers to help engage the players. We only heard from them 2 times and that too when the game time was almost over . The place to help train the gamers to be more involved and engaged with players.

Had a blast playing the Bogeyman room! The suspense and fear factor kept all of our players excited and on our toes (a few screams there too... ;-) ...). Valerie and Mike made the experience so much fun.

I didnt know what the Trap Door Escape Room was about but I went with four other people and I have to admit, we had a great time. The staff was friendly and patient and explained everything to us. We unfortunately didnt finish on time but the staff was kind enough to show us what we missed and how we could have solved some of the puzzles. I would love to go back with another group just to watch them try to figure everything out.

Most of the games here are amazing. Very consistent level of interesting gameplay. However, our last experience was not great as we did not find out until beginning the room that Under the Big Top reused almost all of the same puzzles as a Puzzles and Corks game. With that being said, gamemasters Josh and Val made the experience worth while! They were so friendly and knowledgable. Would recommend the visit just to see them!!!

We did the Boogyman escape room, and opted for the super scary. It was awesome, and so scary. The only down side is its about 90% combination lock puzzles. Towards the end, there were a few other types of puzzles which I really liked. I think if they sprinkled in some of those non-combination lock puzzles throughout the whole game it would be flawless. But 100% worth doing. They also have a wine tasting / puzzle night which I really want to try too.

We had a great time! The people who run the program are awesome! Very entertaining. The plot/story was fun and the puzzles were challenging! We will definitely go back again!

Just came back from Trap Door Escape Room in Red Bank (Under the Big Top). We had 8 people 6 (adults, and 2 11yrs olds) purchase out right because there was no Groupon during the weekends. Even with the Groupon I have to say this was definitely not worth the money we paid. We were escorted into a converted storefront where there was a Circus style popup tent. There were locked boxes on a fold up table, a bean bag toss game puzzle and a make shift balloon dart board puzzle. We had an hour to solve all the puzzles which we solved in 25 min, The puzzle were not interactive enough for 8 people to be standing around trying to unlock combination locks for each of the next clues. We basically just let the kids do the puzzles.When done we were then told how the followup them of this escape room in Morristown was going to be so much better. After this experience I dont think I will ever try one of these escape rooms in the future. I was very disappointed for my first so called Escape Room.

The escape room was fun! Since we got close, the employees even gave us a couple extra minutes but there were just too many potions to mix. I think a way to improve it would be to have a few less people; we had 10 and some people were standing around. 6-8 would have been optimal. It was still a great time, highly recommended.

We had a fun time last night, but I agree with another reviewer that 10 people in this game is too many to allow. We had a group of six, which would have been perfect. With 10, too many people were not involved in solving the puzzles, even though we all did split up, and too many people talking over each other. The ending was also quite difficult!

I went with my fiancee and a few of our friends. Good times.

Puzzles were challenging but not too hard. Bring a group and have fun!

My wife and I did the Architect back in the day and it was awful! The place wasnt setup correctly, and they had to come in and kick us out to resetup the room and never stopped the timer on us. The clue system was awful too. We came back for Cure Z and really enjoyed it this time around. The room was setup correctly. The flow of the room was MUCH better then Arch. And they did away with the old clue system. This new room is very much improved from its previous room, but still lacks something.

It was ok. Could have been awesome but the clues came off the walls and then were impossible to figure out. Also why would you want a game where only 6% of people solve it? Everyone leaves feeling down instead of if the game were easier and people left excited

What an experience! It was awesome! If you are thinking about going - GO! We had a blast. You will not regret your hour at Trap Door. We cant wait to go back again!

The trap door experience was a blast my friends and I really had a good time. The staff was frie,sly and the puzzles were challenging. I cant wait to return in May for the new theme!

Zero Stars. If you like throwing your money into a fire to watch it burn without proper instructions, then do we have place for you. We went into this experience with very high hopes, but sadly we left very disappointed. Without giving away any secrets to the game...The whole scenario was poorly presented and not explained in a way that would make sense, as we were playing the game. We were also paired with kids and were not told that we were working with them. There were times we felt that working with kids of a much younger age became distracting to us as we were trying to uncover clues. The game host spent so much time telling us what we werent allowed to do that she missed telling us what we could do. No one from group will return for future plots.

My friends and I just went to this location last night for Cure Z and it was a good time! One thing I wish they would do though to make it more of a realistic scenario is to have actual people dressed up to make it feel more real while your in there. I also wish there was an option to just have a party of 4, as getting ten friends at once is pretty difficult, and unfortunately kind of ruined part of our expierience here because we got stuck with a group of 4 other people and we had a very hard time communicating with them to work together. We did not make it through to the end and I do feel it was because of the communicating problem of being thrown in there with people we have never met. Good time but I feel it could be a better expierience especially for the money you spend to do it. The people who work there were amazing and very nice just wished for a better expierience.
