Poor selection of clubs and accessories, unorganized clothing displays. There are also no lights on at the store, unnaturally dark when you go in. The PGA superstore in Peabody is much better.
Went there to have my clubs regripped, very helpful and said it would be a one day turn to get them back. Not bad
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST OF THE WORST THEY DONT EVEN BOTHER TALKING TO YOU UNLESS YOUR OVER 40 TRYING TO BUY 1000$ CLUBS PLACE SUCKS WILL NEVER GO BACK THEY SHOULD ALL BE FIRED
Terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and go to a different store. The store manager was about the most unpleasant and unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. I asked to price match and was given a very difficult time about it. As soon as I told him I’d be happy to take my business elsewhere his attitude became even worse but decided to honor their corporate policy.Went to get “fit” and all this included was them suggesting a couple of clubs. I hit them and left. Knowing that I had played the clubs I wanted I went back the next day to purchase. Staff acted like I was a nuisance and that my business didn’t matter. When I asked about different shafts, the salesman shrugged his shoulders and walked away. When hitting wedges, I was told it didn’t really matter how I was hitting in the simulator as real world is all that matters. Their total lack of knowledge was astounding. Against my better judgement, I decided to give them my money as I really wanted the clubs.
Terrible experience! Golf balls were supposed to be on sale. They charged me full price. When my son went to exchange them and he didnt have a slip, they wanted to give him $5. Very pompous owner. Another few customers lost.
Great place
Awful customer service. The manager had a bad attitude and acted like he didnt want to be there. He also tried to low ball me on my set of Irons that I was trading in. They were Only used for 1 season and were in nearly perfect condition, however he deemed them as low condition. I then went to the Golf Galaxy in Burlington and got unbelievable customer service. Do yourself a favor and skip Reading and go right to the Burlington store.
Great golf equipement store
Probably the best golf store left in the Boston area. does not make sense that golf galaxy would close all the golf Smith stores except for the one closest to their only store.
This place used to be a Golfsmith - great golf shop & this one has 2 advantages; close to I-95 (convenient as a rest stop) and there is a Starbucks in the same shopping center.
Veronica is awesome I love how friendly she is when I come
The most condescending and insulting staff Ive yet met. If youre not spending close to four digits then they act like you are garbage. Even if you are, they still cant give you solid advice. No it wont work because-, just No. Okay... why? Sorry to be a pain in your busy day (it being after season, with no other clients in the store), but HELP ME find a solution rather than just informing me that you think my idea is problematic. Googles search engine is more proactive towards problem solving then these guys were.
Great golf shoppe. Brian one of the pros, is an awesome guy. Everytime I come in there even if Im just putzing around (which is often) he remembers me. Asks how my daughter is, and never tries to push product on me. If I ask him for help, then hell engage me and give me great advice. Hes knowledgable, reliable, and down to earth. Great golf guy. Who probably deserves a raise, bottom line hes the boss here, and the staff is a reflection upon him. Theyre also all for the most part gr8. Its a little pricey, but golf isnt a cheap game. So if you want 2nd grade stuff, go somewhere else. But they do always have clearance and trade in programs which make things affordable, reasonable. Also theres some decent promotions going on at any given time. Just depends on timing. Overall for my area its a great resource right down the st. Better option than local pro shops for sure.
Made a purchase just over a month ago for a travel bag, the first time I used it the clip broke. Spoke to the manufacturer and they were super helpful but just needed a receipt. I called the store to see about having the receipt emailed or reprinted. The representative Patrick answered and said there was absolutely no way to get a receipt from a prior purchase, asked if I had gotten a receipt with my original purchase and said thats all I get. When I started to ask what happens when a customer loses a receipt he hung up on my while I was mid sentence. I called back to ask his name and speak to the manager, he answered and I asked for his name but I was hung up on again. I called back a third time and asked for the manager, the representative asked what its in regards to and when I said it was about being hung up on twice he said the manager was unavailable due to being on another call, no offer to be put on hold or called back.Called into customer service and they said the store is able to do this and customer service provided me with the receipt.I had made all my golf purchases with the golfsmith that was in the location prior but since golf galaxy has bought them out and provided terrible customer service I will no longer be purchasing from this company.
I love being watched & followed around a store by employees!
Good place for golf equipment, but stock was lacking
This place is a joke. Condescending staff and managers are no different. You work retail at a golf store, in New England, in an already declining golf market. Ill be back to laugh at you losers when the chain gets sold. Again.
Best place to buy Golf supplies
Good selection of products
