Beautiful complex with snack stands, job johnnys but no shade !!!

Neat place for family members to gather and play sports

Nice place for the youth in the community to play football. Also has a couple baseball fields. It can get alot of bugs (gnats, etc...) due to its location near the schuylkill river. Bring bug spray just in case you hit one of those evenings where the bugs can get annoying. Nice to have a place like this in the township.

The directions show that you come off of East Neversink Rd.This road is closed at the underpass of the railroad.All traffic must enter from West Neversink Rd

Ill give 100 dollars to anyone who can find this place in 2018 without some inside knowledge. Really just wanted to access the river trail from the park and hike up the mountain. GPS will take you via E Neversink, ok well the bridge is closed. No signs on how to get to the park on the other side. Alright, looks like the river trail has an entrance off Gibralter anyhow. Oh guess what, Gibralter is closed too. Alright, so back on freaking 422 then 724 all the way around the back to Gibralter. Oh, they have Gibralter closed on the back side too, way before the trail entrance. Hmm...lets look at the map again. Looks like W Neversink takes you to the park. Back on freaking 422, all the way up and around W Neversink and finally find this park. Hmm its deserted, shame cause it seems like a nice complex its not like its hard to reach or anything. Alrighty, trail entrance should just be across the field...oh hey, bridge from the park to the trail is out too. Hmm...maybe this kid working the fields knows anything about how to get to this freaking trail. The yard waste dump?Interesting...drive back up a ways to the compost dump...wow, a sign for the trail I dont believe it. But where is it? I guess I just park out here behind the gate? Well lets dilly dally around to the back of the compost dump and hope its there...oh hey heres the trail...

Nice place for a work out...

Main access road is closed even though private passenger vehicles can clearly pass through safely. However Township vehicles and trash trucks would still have to take the back route, thus the township refuses to open to the tax paying public.
