I got a chameleon over a week ago from there and they knew everything I needed for one and important things about them I needed to know. Prices are good and super nice staff.

Me and my family come here all the time since we have 10 fish tanks in our house, the people who work here are super nice but I mostly go there to see bailey, he is super friendly and knows what he is talking about on most fish, he has a story for most situations and that is what makes him awesome, I would highly recommend this place if you need anything for your tanks or reptiles

For the size of this place they have a good verity of fish. Very healthy we got a yellow eyed tang and anemone and they are doing great and very healthy, the young man that helped us was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Amazing Store! Amazing Workers! My mom just took me 2 weeks ago to show me some snakes I really wanted and they are beautiful friendly snakes I held the one and the snake did not even mean no harm. The associates give great hello and facts about the snakes! The fish were amazing and healthy and the bearded dragons and more to that was healthy to! Just the prices are a little overboard but for the Mating snakes we saw 240$ that’s a good price for 2 snakes but I really don’t care about the price I care for the health and Beauty but....amazing place to come and get supplies or a reptile!

The last time I took my family into a pet store we unexpectedly came home with a second puppy. So good news for me...this store does not have dogs or cats. It is a great store specializing in reptiles, birds, and fish. Best part is that they have the most beautiful selection of coral and salt water life. They have tanks of amazingly beautiful coral farming on little plates. The different coral and amenities in black light produce amazing visuals. The sting Ray was very neat to watch swim around. The puffer fish was my wifes favorite. The staff were very friendly and were willing to tell us all about the different tank setups, coral, and fish. They were very knowledgeable and it is definitely a store I will take my family again...even if it is just to see the neat salt water life. I highly recommend the store.

Owner. YOUR employee was the one saying the numbers, not us and our levels were not high. YOUR employees did the tests incorrectly by using their finger as the cap when testing the water and got a MUCH lower level when they did the tests correctly by my fathers instruction. I think YOU should teach YOUR employees how to better test the water. The first time I was there the one tank had a fish that was being bitten by other fish so I told YOUR employees and he went and grabbed the fish with his BARE HANDS and held it out of the water for at LEAST 30 seconds before putting him in a new tank. Also you DID NOT have that lion fish for a month because we were there every week at least once for over a month and NEVER saw him there and trust me we wouldve noticed bc that is the fish we were specifically looking for and I took pics of almost every tank every time we were there to show my brothers so I can show you the proof if necessary. Id like to see you test your own water and see what you got considering you had at least 3 dead saltwater fish in your tanks last time we were there as well as several rubbing against rocks which indicates parasites. As I said before I will not be returning to your graveyard of fish

I give them props for being really friendly and welcoming though the dwarf hamster we just brought from this store is on the verge of dying. First night I got him, he was comfy in his brand new cage and I left to use the restroom, soon as I came back, there were blood spots mixed with pee in the cage. Called my family vet and he said that the hamster is most likely a breeder hamster with birth defects. Was told that to make the hamster as comfy as possible as he wont last through the weekend. Like i said, i enjoy the great atmosphere but what I did not enjoy was being sold a very sick pet. Im an animal lover and to have to create a bond with my furry friend only for him to be on the brink of dying really breaks my heart. Unfortunately i wont be returning to this store at all. First impressions matter and my first impression with my first pet from this store is bad. Please check over any pets you buy from this store.

My mom and I went to get a present for my dad and saw a beautiful clown triggerfish. It was kinda hiding so we asked if he was ok and the one guy there said yes hes fine, we just got him today though so hes adjusting (Most places require a 14 day wait before selling a fish). So we asked to get him but asked about a return policy in case he was in fact not fine. When we asked to get him the employee went to another and said they want the trigger and the other employee whispered something back to him while putting a lot of medicine into his bag. 2 days after we took him home, he was almost white and barely moving. I called the store to bring him back and they said to bring him and a sample of water back for a refund. We did so and they tried to tell us our nitrates or nitrites were too high (they couldnt decide which one they were testing for). Our 150 gallon tank had only been running for a month with only 2 fish in it. My dad (who had been running different tanks longer than the employee was alive) ran the same tests and all came up 0 so we knew they were wrong or trying to scam us. I argued for the refund they said we could have and after finally being able to speak to the owner we got store credit only.We tried going back again about a week later and got a volitan lionfish and a mimic tang (for 2 different tanks). The day after we brought home the lionfish he died. We called and asked about another refund and they asked for the same procedure. We took a sample of water and the dead fish back. They tested our water for ammonia and nitrate which we did before leaving the house and took pics of our tests (ammonia came up 0 and nitrate came up as 5- maximum healthy levels is 10). When they tested it, they used their FINGER as the cap when mixing the ammonia test and got a level of 60. My dad corrected him and said to use the actual lid and not his finger. When doing the test correctly, twice, the employee got the same level as my dad- 5- but still said the levels were too high because the original one was high. They refused a refund or the option to talk to the owner. Now today (the day after going to drop off our dead liongish) our mimic tang died. All of our tanks are clean, the fish are fed and the fish we got from other places are thriving. The only fish weve had die are from this store. One of the other fish we got from them that hasnt died has a large spot of ich on his eye that we have been treating (in a separate tank from the others). They clearly dont know what they are doing and will sell you any fish no matter how new or sick to make money. Will not be buying anything from them ever again. Losing fish is very upsetting and we will not keep buying fish from a place we know will only give us that outcome. If there was a zero stars option I wouldve picked that one.

Look closely before you buy fish.....many have ich and will introduce white spot disease to your tank. And they use the common practice of selling fish at 50% mark up as freshwater fish, when they are indeed low end brackish or brackish water fish. Therefore the fish will stress out and die shortly after placing them in freshwater. Make sure you know what youre buying! It just like the pet stores that will sell you a baby red tail cat without telling you it will outgrow 150 gallons in about 2 1/2 years! Its a common practice used by shady pet stores everywhere! They even have a selection of reptiles, small furry creatures and birds. Their prices on maintenance and other equipment is competitive. Support.your local businesses, not the chains!

Mostly exotic fish. If you have a freshwater or saltwater tank this is your place, other then that it is very limited for pet supplies. They have some reptiles, parakeets, and rodents. Have crickets less $ then the big pet stores, and feeder mice. Staff is helpful and friendly

Ive been involved in fresh water for some time. Started in the saltwater reef about 1 year ago. After doing tons of research I went to the store. They helped to clarify info that didnt make perfect sense. Only sold me what I needed and honored all guarantees. I only shop thier store for all my corals and fish for my reef tanks. They use what they sell with great results and take the time to answer every question I throw at them with no snide comments or looks unlike most stores and if they dont know the answer. They say they dont (which is rare) instead of blowing smoke to look good.

Been to this store a few times as a last resort to get what i need. After last time i went i will not be returning. The few associates i dealt with have very minimal knowledge of exotic pets. I own snakes, monitor lizards, a caimen, ferrets and dogs. I spend money, a good bit of money on food and everytime i go in there i have to beg for assistance basically. I will say they do price decently on supplies. I will either order online for supplies and stock up at shows from now on instead of going to this store. If i need a emergency run Ill goto a more expensive store where assistance and knowledge is available.

Just got my axolotl. The staff was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. They are very knowledgeable. My visit was definitely worth the hour-and-a-half drive.

Cool group of people. Love local business and its close enough I can skip past petco for my supplies. Tanks are good, not perfect, could be less crowded. Some fish seem certainly stressed and a few bad tank practices. Some days service is prompt other days you cant seem to get anyones attention. Still way better than any chain pet shop though!

Was genuinely saddened by the complete general lack of care for fishes well being. Tanks are way overcrowded. Didnt know if I wanted to rescue all of them or refuse to give them my business. Will most likely not be returning.

We live an hour and a half away and have come to this store twice now, it was worth the drive! We worked with Bailey and he was awesome! The fish all looked happy and healthy. The tanks all looked clean and well maintained. We will definately be back!

Can’t figure out how to delete this so update....Joel you are awesome and I appreciate you taking the time out to talk to me and fix the situation!! You went above and beyond and for that I am gratefulI was in a week ago and the staff was very pleasant, after walking around for about 30 minutes I decided to buy an axolotl, not knowing anything about them I asked the man working a ton of questions, housing, feeding, general care. He told me that they can have a sand bottom or clear bottom, to feed it blood worms and that the most important part is keeping the temperature below 70 degrees. I came home with the axolotl set the tank up using water that had been cycling for over 4 months, I went with the sand bottom and everything was fine took some proud owner photos and posted them in an aquatics groupThw next day I had comments saying that he is to little for sand, that he should be eating cut up red wigglers and blood worms should only be a treat. As soon as I got home I put him in different water drained the tank and took all the sand out. I thought everything was gonna be ok until I noticed he wasn’t eating or pooping, my only guess is that he ate the sand and was now suffering from am impaction. I went to my axolotl group asking for help they all suggested fridging him in hopes it would help pass the sand, it did not and he passed away.Today my daughter and I went back to the store bought one of the full grown axolotl and hoping for the best. This time however the 2 ladies that were working possible overwhelmed but they were pretty rude and not as helpful. If offered a discount for the one that I lost in less then a week I would of walked out with 2 of them, but the man I spoke with prior to my visit said that it was up to the owner if he gives any discounts on the axolotl.If I would have had the same service as I did the 1st week and had better information on my axolotl and it was still alive I would have given 5 stars.

This little pet/fish store is an absolute gem! They have a great variety of saltwater & freshwater fish, reptiles, birds, bunnies, even hermit crabs ... the staff is amazing & very knowledgeable. Ive heard they just recently moved to this new larger location, but I think theyve already outgrown it ... lol. Only downside is its a little tight for space when theyre busy ... but other than that, very happy with our fish & experience, all the animals were clean, healthy, and well maintained & taken care of ... will definitely be sticking with these guys rather than a big chain store!

This place has tons of live ocean plants and exotic mammals even albino frogs it was like almost going to a aquatic trip although it needs a little bit of a better appearance look but nothing that will make you enjoy looking at all the different mammals in there

I visited this store for the first time last Saturday with my two kids. I was very surprised and impressed by the selection of fish and my kids had a blast. Everyone was very polite and helpful. I was hoping to find hillstream loaches. When I asked Joel if they had any, he said no but he could get some for me. If I didnt hear from him in 3 weeks I should call him to check on them. On Wednesday I received a call from Joel saying that they were in already. I went in that night to check them out. The fish looked healthy so Sal bagged them up for me. Cant speak high enough of this place.

Where do I begin? Not only does the owner Joel go above and beyond for his customers he is the nicest guy youll ever meet. Funny and awesome guy. The store is great has a lot of variety. Nice reptiles and small animals and probably the best exotic fish around. If you have any amount of spare time, stop by and have a chat and youll leave with satisfaction. Promise!

I have been a customer of Exotic Fish & Pets since the end of July and I can tell you, it is always a great experience walking into the shop. The staff are very friendly and personable and you before you know it, they become almost like an extended family. Joel has always worked with me on prices, deals, and providing knowledge. I personally bought two beautiful and healthy reptiles (A bearded Dragon and a Giant Tremper Albino Leopard Gecko). I also purchased a bunny for my niece which is also doing fantastic. If you are looking for a pet shop that provides more quality over quantity, this is the place to go!
