Nice spot for some climbing. The staff are great and know what theyre doing. Kids birthday parties here are very well done.
Friendly and welcoming environment. Good safety and hygiene practices in place.
Great gym, great staff and awesome community of members to climb with.
This was my first time climbing. The staff was incredibly helpful and my instructor was very knowledgeable and funny. They have a variety of walls to climb for every skill level. I met some great people too. Ill definitely be going back a few times a monthUpdate (September 2018): I have been a member of this gym since June 2018. I took the belay class my first day, I went back the following day and purchased a membership and gear. I am in love with this sport and the staff is beyond incredible. I HIGHLY reccomend this gym
Great kids program too!
Big place, something for climbers of all levels! Plenty of room on the roped and boulder sides. Clean with ample amenities for members. Climbers are friendly and staff is always super helpful!
Nice place for sure. Staff was extremely nice and informative. Me and my kids first time and we weren’t intimidated. Just wish there was one closer. Maybe Plymouth/Wareham Ma. area!
Big place, extremely friendly and knowledgable staff. My 11 year old is taking the youth climbing class and she loves it. They also offer fitness membership that include fitness classes and yoga. The instructor Matt is the youth coach and also offers private training classes which we are taking and love. I recommend this facility and the instructor Matt 100%.
We really enjoyed ourselves today at the rock gym. Something for each kid to do 4-13, I was able to climb too!
Infinitely many stars! This is THE best climbing gym ever. The routes are creative and fun, the staff is friendly and helpful, the coaches are exceptional, the gym is clean, and the atmosphere is terrific. There is truly something for everyone here. There is a slide and easy fun-wall routes for little kids, which very few gyms have, and then, of course, there are climbs ranging from easy to insane. This gym has very quickly become my second home!
Fantastic place for kids! The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Any age and experience level will be able to enjoy.
Ive been a member for about 4 months now and its been a wonderful experience. It is a welcoming-feeling, clean and obviously well-run place... staff is friendly and helpful. Even if there wasnt a rock gym attached to it, the gym itself would be nearly worth it for me, with excellent dumbbell/barbell facilities and a Concept 2 rower.
Great experience, Jake the instructor was excellent with my niece and nephew (4 and 8yrs old). Theres a kids room that was challenging but not overwhelming. Highly recommend for an event to do with kids.
I’ve been to a few gyms since I first started climbing, and this is the best one that I could find. The routes can host a wide range of different leveled climbers, starting with beginners and reaching to advanced! I don’t think I will ever find a day where I am bored or have been able to do every single climb, it’s not only physically pushing my limits but mentally too! The staff is super friendly and helpful! The classes are well scheduled, put together, and fun. And last but not least the facility is kept super clean and well maintained. This is a fantastic gym and I highly recommend to anyone that has an interest in rock climbing, yoga and fitness classes, or just being apart of a community of people that are friendly and non-judgmental!
I am /was new to Rock climbing; on first visit I found the place I want to go :) Very welcoming awesome group of Central Rock Gym coach / team. And yes dont forget progression program, Cody, Kevin, Stephen & Tetsu wonderful and very knowledgeable individuals! Yes, dont forget HIT class Robin, great workout every time. Super Stephanie always there for any kind of help you need! No partner no problem, I always had help from Maria, Chris! You want to understand Rock climbing, perfect place…-- Raj
Great kids area with a slide after bouldering top-out. The top roping in the kids room is great for beginners (including adults). The adult bouldering section has a nice mix of beginner, intermediate, and impossible. The top roping is great. There is at least 3 slab climbs, plenty of easy flat wall, and lots of difficult truff stuff for when you get better and want a challenge. The staff is super friendly and are great for newcomers. The atmosphere is very collegial and people are generally happy to help you out and explain some routes. They have a cool program Monday nights for people who want to partner and top rope together.Highly recommend this place!!!
Awesome, knowledgeable and friendly people, super fun problems, and great variety! There are routes for any and all experience levels. Plus you can go to any of the other CRG locations which is wicked cool
Going to the gym was always a responsibility that I felt obligated to do but did not enjoy. After randomly happening upon CRG Randolph and making the split decision to join, I have the opposite mind set! The staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. All of the people that come here are so friendly and supportive. It’s a home away from home and I look forward every time, until my next visit! Highly recommend.
The people who climb are so nice, the coaches are amazing. The staff is very helpful and fun. Climbs are challenging, a great place to climb for a few hours or a few years. Overall, best place ever!
This gym is phenomenal!! CRG has really figured out how to make great rock climbing gyms. The setting is top notch and super creative. We had a really great time. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well.
EXCELLENT CLIMBING. This place is amazing. Good gym to workout and warm up. They have great maintenance. Staff is helpful. Tremendous kid climbing gym with giant slide.
This gym is so awesome! I needed to change up my entire routine and do something that was really motivating, satisfying and would just keep me coming back. Rock climbing has definitely become that and the gym also offers so much including yoga and HIIT classes with a fire staff. Highly recommend this place. Such a great value!
Really nice gym with awesome route setting and a nice fitness room. Unfortunately the hours could be better. Would be great if theyd open earlier during the week, as 11 am is too late for someone who works the afternoon.
Central Rock Gym Randoplh has become my home gym and dont think Ill be changing anytime soon! Plenty of climbing with a variety of difficulty and styles. The route setting is consistent and every now and then youll find that one route you wish wouldnt come down. Aside from the climbing is the community and staff at CRG. Both staff and climbers are incredibly friendly and welcoming. There arent many other places where you will receive encouragement from others.
Great rock climbing gym. They have top rope, lead climbing, bouldering, gym, locker rooms and friendly staff. There are vending machines for energy bars and drinks and a small store for buying climbing equipment and accessories. There is also a party room where kids can have birthday parties. I love the climbing here.
Friendly staff and great positive ppl. Constant new routes to keep you challenged. Gym is not bad. Yoga is plentiful, wish there was more.
Awesome gym with great terrain, good setting, and a clean and crisp facility. No tape makes it beautiful and the setting styles are all fun to climb. I only bouldered while traveling for business but the rope climbing looks great too!
Great routes that are set frequently. The facility is well maintained like all the CRG locations. Its a bit pricey at $20 for a day pass, but well worth money if you pace yourself and hang out for a couple hours.
This is by far the best central rock gym. I had to come check out the new Walltopia design and I was blown away by the top rope and lead walls. The design of this facility is really unique and makes for really good climbs. There is a lead and top roping section, a separate bouldering area, and most importantly a kids climbing area/party room. No kids running around will be amazing. The routes were beautiful and I cant wait to go back and conquer some more this weekend.
This gym is the best! Smallish but fully furnished weight room, great variety of climbing options and the rental gear is of good quality. Highly recommend
This place is so amazing! There are interesting features on all of the walks. Its a great place for beginners and seasoned climbers alike.Just another feather in CRGs hat.You cant go wrong with this cutting edge climbing gym.
Love the gym! Perfect spot, only 10 minute drive and super close to rt3. Really like the separation of the bouldering area from the top roping area. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Great for beginners and advanced climbers.
Awesome gym with lots of space to top rope, lead climb, and boulder. They also have a kids climbing area, a good weight room, and a studio for classes like yoga etc. Members get access to all classes, climbing spaces, and a discount on gear.
Great new top rope and lead wall. Not too busy! The bouldering wall is decent sized, I think over a 100 feet long. The exercise and yoga rooms are separate, and also very good sized for CRG. They have plenty of equipment for rock training and other general fitness.
Great gym with great employees. A go rock climbing with a group or girls from BSU and we decided to check it out. Both the bouldering and top roping have fun walls with plenty of space. The employees introduced themselves and even taught my group how to belay. It was a great experience and I hope nobody misses out on this place!
Good for bouldering, can get busy as the after work crowd shows up. Still a good place to climb even if small and crowded. Watertown is much better, but not on my way home from work in Boston.
Staff was super helpful. Energetic, fun, encouraging. Zoe, Meghan, and Cody were great.
I did the bouldering with my 8yo son and had a blast! Next time will have to get there earlier and try the belay side.
Great facility - instructor was knowledgeable and clear, routes seem well designed. Wasnt too crowded either (noon on a Sunday).
Good for bouldering but can get very crowded in the after work hours. Still a great place to climb with a decent variety of routes on the walls.
Central Rock Randolph is awesome! This gym is a place for kids ages 5 to 95. My wife and I were here just this past week and had a blast climbing all sorts of routes. And for those of you have Kids, there is a room for kids called funtopia, which has a little rock wall with a slide and interactive climbing routes.
Best gym ever! And the staff is awesome!
I came opening day with my nephew and he was in love with the Funtopia walls. He has already planned that this is where his birthday party will be even though he lives almost two hours away. Im not much of a climber by any means, but this gym is really beautiful and made me my nephews favorite Aunt :) It also has a nice yoga studio!
New gym. Great mix of bouldering if youre solo and top rope/lead. 10-12 exercise machines, weights, yoga. Nice kids area for climbing and parties. Good music a CRG standard, as well.
Good sized bouldering area, tall top roping areas, party room, fitness room, and friendly staff. love that you can wash your hands without entering the bathroom
This gym is just ok. It was clean and staff was friendly, but for the money, I dont think you get much. No rental grigris and the chalk wasnt very good. No auto belays which limits you to bouldering if you wanted to go by yourself. The bouldering section is a decent size though. Im not from the area but I might return when Im back just to get my fix, but my regular gym has more to offer so I guess I expected more from this place.
Friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of walls for top-rope, lead, and bouldering. Also has gym equipment, and specialized lessons and Yoga.
If you dont know how to belay they wont teach you how. Staff was less than helpful. Would not recommend to a friend.
A very clean place with friendly staff. Great bouldering problems monthly and professional training is available.Last, a great communityAddictive fun that keeps you fit
Great routes. Not too crowded. Friendly staff.
BEST GYM EVER.First off, the people that work here are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. When my gf and I were talking lead tests she was very nervous and the guy giving her the test helped calm her down which was a welcome change from most of the gyms Ive visited.Secondly, the facilities are absolutely amazing. The walls are huge, the setting is amazing and routes are changed frequently. They also have a very good fitness center for a climbing gym complete with squat racks, benches, free weights, etc. And they offer lots of fitness and yoga classes. I cant speak for the fitness classes but the yoga classes are amazing and they have them almost everyday at the Watertown location.Memberships and daypasses can be a little expensive but its pretty consistent for the area. If its your first time visiting, I highly recommend you get their trial membership. Free gear rentals for month and you get a free guest pass which includes gear. That means if youre going with a friend and neither of you own gear its basically the same price and you get the rest of the month for free.
Since its opening in November CRG has been home to new routes on a monthly basis, clean holds, clean pads, welcoming helpful staff, weights, yoga, and much more.If your thinking about trying climbing or looking for a good rock gym nearby dont be shy stop by and see what its all about.See you there.
Brooooooo . Kick ass staff! Very helpful. I had a bad cramp and I asked a lovely lady to help me stretch. She didnt hesitate to show me some gnarly stretches . I was healed and pulled some gnarly dinamos braa. No but for real . Awesome place . Definitely an addictive sport ! Please get a membership for all the awesome perks
Holy smokes....I thought Hammond Pond had all the king lines but CRGs new gym in Randolph far surpassed all my expectations. From their super friendly staff to the most futuristic setting on bold beautiful big walls, this place is worth the visit...even if you have to be patient as you make your way through highway traffic. As a very experienced climber for over 10 years....I dont usually wrestle plastic pebbles...but when I do...I choose CRG Randolph. Come check it out!!!
Best climbing gym in area; best cave routes- if you can do them! Very clean, excellent staff.
Good collection of climbing gyms.Well managed with friendly and helpful staff.
Best indoor climbing in RI, easily. Large separate weight room, separate yoga room, separate event room, tons of roping and boulders.
Clean, lots of climbs, and good setters. Classes are fun and consistent.
Good lead climbing and a smaller set up for Bouldering.
The previous reviewers definitely never have set foot in a way more techy Mid-West climbing gym like Vertical Endeavor
Super clean... best gym for always having new routes!
Not as big as central rock Watertown, but decent sized and the same good route setting.
Great facilities. Top notch climbing gym
Great gym that is kept clean and the rock paths are changed regularly.
They keep their walls up to date and everyone is very friendly
Super helpful and friendly staff - ask them anything! Less crowded than Watertown and still tons of routes, plenty of Boulder problems, a kids room, weights, cardiovascular equipment, etc. My wife and I learned to climb here, and if youre thinking about it, definitely go for it.
Love CRG. Great facility and great people.
Awesome place. Great price
Great place but their prices are insane
Friendly staff, clean gym, and great projects
Ive climbed every gym in the greater boston area and the Central Rock Gyms are by far the cleanest gyms with the most organized routes and the most consistently creative and intelligent route setting. The new Randolph location is directly in line with the high level of their other locations. The switch in wall designers for this new location means even the walls themselves are more unique and dynamic than any of the other gyms. Also the addition of a kid specific climbing area helps keep the boulder area clear and safe while not shorting kids the experience of climbing. If youre familiar with CRG Watertowns more technical climbs, and CRG Cambridges more dynamic routes - I would say Randolph falls dead center between the two. With a good mix of large power moves and technical climbs. Also having friendly staff, who are climbers themselves makes the experience that much easier and safer for newcomers to climbing.
Amazing setting but the sport wall could be taller
Fun. New expansion. Sometimes busy
Great rock gym with lots of routes
Great place to do indoor climbing!
Great routes and friendly staff!
Great climbing gym and friendly staff.
Incredibly well planned and organized gym.
Great place a lot of walls.
Best indoor climbing in Boston.
