Beautiful historic space in downtown Raleigh! Love the cobblestone streets, twinkle lights, and old trees. Not many spaces left like this! Its a gorgeous backdrop for photo sessions or a Saturday morning post Big Eds breakfast stroll.

First time going here and what got us choosing this place is that their ice cream is by Maple View Farms which apparently is known for their Antibiotic free, hormone free, from grass-fed cows ice creams. I love their Coffee and Cookies and Cream flavors. They were so good and are very flavorful. You can actually taste the Coffee! The shop is small but it makes up for the great tasting products they offer. If were ever back in town, were sure to come back there!

Great breakfast food with fast and friendly service at Big Eds. All the plates offered a large amount of food for a reasonable price. There is a good number of parking spaces in front and around the restaurant, including several paid parking lots. Its also a short walk from the Convention Center.

One of the best things about Raleigh. Yummy heirloom tomatoes in summer and beautiful plants, like lime and fig trees. Love buying fresh bouquets here. Such friendly folk! Perfect Saturday activity

Very enjoyable saunter through this historic neighborhood. I happened along when the famers market was setting us and it was nice to sit outside and people watch while also enjoying the live music that was provided for the market. A lot of the shops and dining places werent open yet, so that was disappointing. It looks like the area is hopefully being revitalized?? ...or they need more business ventures to move in - a lot a spaces were empty. The area certainly has a ton of potential and was a great place to visit.

Cool aesthetic and setting in the heart of DT Raleigh. Several little shops that offer great variety and experiences; whether it be sushi from City Market Sushi, an old time breakfast at Big Eds, or fantastic olive oils and pastas at Brovellis. Also a great indoor area for events, etc. Just a cool place to walk through, like going back in time a bit. Hope it stays like this!

Charming part of Raleigh downtown with some great restaurants. Vics italian has some damn good pizza (the calzone is all cheese, be warned) restaurant, Big Eds is a great place for brunch, with good flaky biscuits and bacon done right and El Rodeo is the best, most reasonably priced Mexican food I have yet found in Raleigh. All in all city market is the place to be downtown if youre looking for great and reasonably priced dining.
