OK, Rob and Jeff were awesome. Simple as that. Ive been running low on .308 cartridges at the house (& its deer season in a pandemic that encourages social distancing activities). Rob and Jeff made sure to hook me up with a box of Hornady Whitetail to hold me over! Much appreciated, guys!
I scheduled a lesson for my boyfriend and I as part of his birthday gift. We had such a great experience with Jon! He was awesome and not only taught us a lot but made it fun. Will definitely be making the hour drive to come back. I arrived a novice who was a little put off by firearms and had never shot a gun, but I left feeling pretty confident in by ability to handle a pistol safely so that’s AMAZING.Also, this place was immaculate! Definitely exceeded my expectations of a gun range. And I didn’t see one person without a mask. :)
Ok. So, tried to go inside to purchase ammo. At the door, masks are mandatory, no ammo sold to the public except 9mm, no open carry inside and also no browsing to purchase anything. So the only thing this place is good for is stripping your rights and 9mm ammo. Load of sh............Re:Perhaps inform the 3 people working the door?
Mixed feelings on this place. On the plus side, the place is beautiful for a gun shop/range and is on the surface very well staffed. There seems to be a genuine focus on safety which I really value as well.On the negative side, holy cow is it expensive. My entry/registration fee, range fee, rental fee, two boxes of 9mm, two targets, and ears (forgot to bring mine) cost me nearly $115! I feel like this had to be an over charge but I unfortunately mixed up my receipts and kept the one for my registration and tossed the one for the range. In addition, you pay for an hour but can only purchase two boxes of ammo per person. If you’re coming here to try out a bunch of different firearms then this really isn’t the spot because 50 rounds is probably the minimum you want to shoot to get the feel for a gun. I was looking to try out 4 or 5 different models but got to try out 2 in the span of 30 minutes and was, in essence, forced to cut my time short then and there.Lastly, the place is staffed but they aren’t attentive on the retail side. On the range, they’re almost too involved.
Pretty disappointing that even with a membership they will not sell any ammo that you do not intend to use at their range on that day. I get the purchase limit, but if I buy two boxes today and fire all of them at the range, then another two boxes tomorrow and fire all of those...the inventory would end up the same than as if I were to buy two today without firing them, two tomorrow and firing them all. The plan was to try and spend a little more than 20 minutes at the rage with the two box purchase limit. Even asking to purchase two boxes today while they continued to hold them until the following day to fire at their range was a no go. Not exactly convenient or worth while to run around looking for ammo to fire where youve paid a membership for lanes if you want to actually spend some time there.Very nice facility very nice people but wish I knew this before spending a fair amount for a membership.
What a great experience and staff! Took a beginners course and they took the time to really show me how to shoot. The staff was extremely knowledgeable, and in no way made me feel incompetent because of my naivete. On the contrary, they made me me more relaxed and my target showed the results most of my shots hitting center mass. Ill definitely be taking more classes and look forward to spending time on the range. Thanks guys, great team!
Great place with good service and lots of inventory. IMPOSSIBLE to call and get an answer and IMPOSSIBLE to leave a message. Pretty frustrating especially if your not from around here and want to actually purchase something from them. Need to actually answer the phone and/or let you leave a message
TSA was such a fun experience. The staff was awesome and helpful to a new shooter like me. Petra especially was awesome when it came to teaching me about memberships and corporate events. Definitely recommend trying out the world class facilities at TSA!
Great place to take a class. Justin did a fantastic job at making a long class very engaging, and did a great job at presenting the material in a digestible fashion. This alone is worth a good review. However Justin took his own free time to make sure I fully understood all materials and met all requirements. This was fantastic and gave me a significantly higher level of confidence than I could have imagined. It is clear that student education is the number one priority. Thanks again!
I understand store policy very well but, let me know at the entrance that “because I’m a DACA recipient” I can’t shoot in your range even thought I have done it in multiple places and could provide with a valid driver license. Not only that, the process took 30 minutes for me to get to the rental equipment desk. Waited an additional 15 minutes until the people at the desk finish talking to a “ frequent customer” about getting tested for Covid because one of their family members had tested positive. The lady at the desk saw my license and literally took me back to the first desk and told them to refund my money. Again I do understand store policy and I respect them but don’t make me wait for such a long time for you to tell me that, when clearly none but her knew about that “part of the policy”.
At first it was a great experience; people were nice, helpful, and climate was fun. Upon getting to the rental area, the lady behind the counter was kind of rude, seemed to be rushing us (though not many people were there). Payed for one lane, a rental and 2 mags (almost 100$!) and when I asked to buy 2 more mags, I was turned down. Would have to rent a whole new gun. Dont ever plan on coming here again.
My best friend and I decide to try out TSA as we are in the market for purchasing our first guns. The beginning of our visit was a little bumpy as 2 newbies were not warmly welcomed at the first counter or the range counter. We were pretty clueless and told this to the staff. As a new shooter that is not familiar with procedures they seemed almost irritated. After getting a handgun, ammo, ear and eye protection we were sent into the bays. This is where things totally changed course- our range attendant, Tom, came over to us to us and gave us the most WONDERFUL and informative lesson on the very basics of handguns. He explained everything from hand position, loading, unloading, stance, how to use the sights, gun safety, how to use the equipment at the range. He was one of the best teachers, of any topic, I have ever had in my life. Tom was patient, friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. He stayed with us through our entire time and coached and encouraged us. He answered every question we had. While we were both very nervous we left there feeling much more comfortable with handguns. Now we are ready to keep exploring purchasing our own firearm.Kudos to Tom! He is amazing! He is the type of employee that should be assigned to a new shooter from the moment they enter the doors of TSA as a guide on how to start the process of getting comfortable around a gun.
They will not sell you ammo unless you spend 5000 plus on a gun regardless of what they tell you on the phone. they are gouging prices to take advantage of the situation and only cater to those who have thousands to dump in store.they are at least polite.but sadly thats not enough to run a business.do not go here
I would give this place 5 stars if it had an outdoor range. Otherwise, the staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great place to shoot and purchase what you need. Staff is courteous.
Wonderful experience! From Ralph, our Concelled Carry Instructor to Richard, our private gun instructor, this place is top-notch! Thanks everyone!
This is the largest and most professional range / store in the area. Very safety conscious and proactive in all the ways you’d expect, plus the extra measures due to the ‘rona. That situation right now means a wait for just about anything though, so I suggest calling ahead.
During this Covid time they are running very efficiently! They are all very knowledgeable, and Rob helped us with everything we needed. He should strongly be considered for a raise/promotion!
They are very knowledgeable le a out there products, very courteous, helpful & willing to assist you in any manner.
Went today to shoot for the first time in about 10 years with a brand new firearm. Mitch really helped me get going with a new firearm. I couldnt have started without his help. He also gave me some instruction about my firearm i.e. cleaning, oiling. Really made for a positive safe experience. Ill be sure to come back. Thanks!!
Great service and manages to be open during this *%!* COVID-19 times
Went to buy a new gun here and discovered theyhave a liberal mandatory mask rule. Didnt have a mask so they offered to SELL me one. So nice of them. So I went to Carolina Gunrunners and bought a nice DDM4 V7, red dot scope and ammo for $2,500. Very nice people there. No mask required.
Very impressed. Great staff. Good selection. Competitive prices. You keep doing what your doing and Ill keep coming back thats how it works. Thank you TSA.
Stopped by and was told you may not browse what is for sale. You have to wait in line and be taken to something specific by a sales associate.
First time going and the shop was really Nice. The only issue I had was that I was told in order to buy ammo I had to purchase a fire arm. But at the same time was talking to an guy that was actual a buy a 150 round box of 556 without purchasing a firearm. Will probably be my first and last time going.
This place makes a great date night! Clean, safe, friendly staff, best in the area.
I took a one on one training class with Joe today and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had shooting. He made me feel not only comfortable, but almost as if I was at home. Jeff does a wonderful job running this place and the staff is always so friendly! I highly recommend to new and experienced shooters.
Great place to go shoot and buy firearms. Great place for first time shooters as well. the employees are friendly and very helpfully.
This is by far and above the most professionally run shooting range I have ever been to. And I am well into my 60’s and have been target shooting and/or shooting for work qualification across two states, for my whole entire adult life. From the moment you enter, through checking in to use the range the staff are professional and make you feel at ease. The range staff as well is very helpful and were always available when people needed them or had a question. They were very attentive to the range. Their firearms selection is awesome. I also met a nice gentleman there who was pleasant and engaging and suggested I have a burger. Thanks Frank! I did and it was really good. Overall, an excellent experience this morning at the Triangle Shooting Academy. A class act!
An adventure we thought would be quick turned into an amazing day of making sure we left satisfied. As a newbie in the weapon world, I wanted to bring my husband to this location to buy a new gift and have fun on some targets. Immediately as we entered it looks like an elite headquarters for weaponry. There’s a circulation desk, waiting area with viewing access, an excellent staff, and of course weapon counter. My husband is a Glock 40 man and he is very firm about this; I on the other hand am just now officially getting into this world. My husband had a vision of what he wanted for me and I had a vision of what I wanted for myself. We were able to explain these preferences to ‘Bear’, Doug, and he quickly showed us a range of different weapons. He really knows what he is talking about and is able to combine your vision into a perfectly matching weapon to fit your needs. I wanted a weapon that was smooth, small in my hands, and had a nice weight distribution. He had us try a couple weapons at their range and identified what it was I actually preferred after shooting. Thank goodness he took the time and patience to follow our purchase all the way through with this amazing experience. He didn’t mind our questions and he respected my experience level. He didn’t mind that I used incorrect terminology and further more truly took his time to make sure I found a weapon that met all my needs and request. After this experience I was able to solidify a purchase on a P320 that met all of these needs. Thank you so much for taking your time! We will absolutely be back!
Amidst the pandemic in the country there are still a lot of businesses open with some sort of safety measures in place. However, no place of business Ive been to have come close to the amount of security in regards to health safety than Triangle Shooting Academy. There is no question in my mind about being concerned for my health while shopping here. 5/5 stars definitely. If youre looking to purchase or shoot at the range there should be no question about which business to choose. This is the place to go!
This place is very clean inside. Huge selection of guns and a lot of ranges. I usually go here during the week and there is never a wait. If you go in the evenings or weekends expect to wait for a lane but they have a very nice lounge area. Range staff are very attentive and helpful. A great atmosphere if you are experienced or a novice shooter.
This place holds a high standard for professionalism and safety. I have had transfers executed in a timely manner with these guys as well as shot on their range. The employees are very welcoming and easy to talk to. The ROs on the range are always looking out for your safety and are willing to help with any concerns. The place is always very organized and clean especially out on the firing range. This place rocks!
The staff is horrible. They all provide conflicting information. They have no idea about their own business. And most of them are very rude. To avoid disappointment, Find another place.
Not sure how this place gets 5 star reviews. Go to Fuquay Gun for better service and pricing. It’s worth the drive.
Had a blast my first time here. Went a shot an AR-15 in their indoor 25 yard range. I had to watch a 15 minute introduction video and get my pass which was pretty inexpensive but overall had a great time. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a wide variety of firearms for rent to shoot at the range along with for purchase. Ill be back for sure.
What a great Range. It has to be one of the nicest ranges I’ve been to in the Southeast portion of the US. great quality lanes, super clean and well staffed. I felt extremely welcome and all the staff was very helpful. If they don’t have a gun for you to rent and try, to see if it’s what you’re looking for; then they may not make it yet. From a great portion of fully automatic rifle rentals to 22LR pistols. I’ll be back soon.Thank you everyone staffed.
Triangle Shooting Academy is amazing. The facilities are top-notch, the staff are always very helpful and excited to speak with you about their huge selection of firearms or new products. If you have your own firearm(s), then its pretty inexpensive to shoot there. Especially if you also already have your own eye/ear protection and paper targets. Weve been able to bring our own ammo as long as its brass, though I heard perhaps they wont let you bring your own anymore? Im not entirely sure and its worth asking about; but even still, its a wonderful place to practice, learn something new, or inquire about new firearms hitting the market.Even when Im not doing so well at the range (since I am fairly new at this still), a Range Officer is more than happy to assist me and give me some key pointers on how to improve. They dont have to do that, but they are excited to; which to me, is what really sets this place apart from other ranges who either dont have range officers (which is not what you want), or have ones that honestly dont care to be there and dont care to help you in the slightest. The food is also a great plus. Its actually really good, and its nice to eat while you wait for a lane to open. Id definitely recommend either going on a weekday, or getting there early on the weekends; basically right when they open. It can get busy fast and its far more enjoyable, at least to me, when there arent a ton of people there trying to get a lane and inquire about this and that.
Decent range, horrible customer service. Very difficult to contact over the phone.Voicemail is full. Very unprofessional.
I have been to this store two times and each time i have found something that i could not leave without... Jeff and Rob assisted me with exactly what i was looking for. good people and a great gun store! my girlfriend will be attending the beginner class and the conceal carry class, she was also very impressed. if you are in the are you MUST stop by, you will be impressed.
The men at Triangle Shooting Academy were great! Rob Jacques and Mr. Jeff were outstanding!!! Helpful, jumped to make sure we were treated very well. Definitely look forward to my next visit! This place is like the cheers of Gun Shops! Were everybody knows your name and they are all glad you came!
I love this store! Jim is an awesome employee, helped me out through and through. Over the top service from him and he was very knowledgable and absolutely willing to help with any of my questions or concerns. Great store, great selection, good prices and overall, a wonderful staff. Thanks! I posed some pictures of my purchase here to show quality of my purchase (this long rifle was brand new and not fired yet in these images I have posted).
Had an great time, driving through from Va, filling out the forms online the night before will save you a ton of time. Staff was very friendly and professional. Lanes were clean and in top notch condition.Overall an amazing experience will definitely stop again. The place is huge, has a cafe and lots of firearms.
Staff is great, super helpful and knowledgeable. Can get very busy at the range on rainy days and on weekends, so be prepared to wait if its an indoor kinda day based on weather. Otherwise no complaints.
Such a great experience here. As a first timer, Steve was tremendously accommodating to me and my boyfriend. He gave us great information and tips. He was with us when we needed any help what so ever with a smile. His crew that he was with him was super sweet as well. We even had Ben, the class instructor, come over and give us some training tips! We’ll definitely be back soon! You guys rock!
This is based on my first visit, I have not used facility for shooting yet.I been greeted with very friendly, smiling lady behind the walk in counter. I wanted to visit gunsmith o she walked me to him where I met Kepp the gun smith (hope I got his name right) a wonderful easy going gentleman with excellent attitude leaving me with nice comfortable feeling.
First time coming to a range and it was a very enjoyable experience even having no prior experience with firearms. Instructors and safety officers were very helpful in helping me with form and learnt a lot about firearms from the hour I spent in there. Great time indeed.
Great range, good staff, very helpful on helping someone pick out her first gun.
Excellent range. For new shooter like me, it was a great experience. I took my wife here for her first shooting experience, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She felt safe around the Range Safety Officers, and the friendly staff in general. You will pay a little bit more than I other places, but the experience is worth it.
Everyone at the range was incredibly nice. Both the staff and the clientele made my first shooting experience a safe and memorable one and I will be going back quite often. Thanks to all and see you soon!
Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Love the fact that you can try a gun before buying it! We bought my husband’s first handgun there and they were so helpful and informative to help us make the best purchase! Will definitely go back!
I’ll start this off by saying I NEVER write reviews. But this place was amazing and definitely deserves it! I was very nervous and had never been to a range before and hardly ever shoot, but when I walked in Paige and Deb walked me through the process and were super nice! Chad and Mitch I believe were their names, both helped me work on my technique and aim- they were a tremendous help!! Before I left Paige and deb showed me some more features of TSA and gave me a ton of helpful information! Overall great experience- I’ll be coming back!
Im not sure what the deal is with this place. Nobody answers the phone. You cant leave a message because the mailbox is full. Tried to send an email and it said undeliverable. Ill take my money elsewhere.
Great place to go shooting. They have a very nice and clean facility with many shooting lanes. In addition to the lanes, they have a large selection of guns to choose from, as well as many accessories. They also offer several different classes related to firearms. Definitely come by if youre looking for a great indoor range and many guns to choose from.
This place is phenomenal! I can tell they focus on your experience more than anything else. I had the pleasure of attending a class here and was absolutely amazed at the thoroughness of the class, attention to the students, and the knowledge of the instructors. Although I have noticed some of their firearms are higher priced than others, you can rest assured that you will always be treated well and everyone is happy to help answer any questions you may have. Ill gladly pay more for a great experience with people I trust. Their little restaurant inside is good too. If you havent been here before, pay them a visit. Thank you TSA for providing an excellent experience and a welcoming atmosphere.
I have to say that Me and my family and friends like this range for whatit have to offer. We enjoy it very much and the salespeople are nice and helpful
I can second the other reviewer that the staff is not very attentive when buying guns at all. Took me two hours to get attention standing at the counter a week or two ago. I did buy the gun, but will go somewhere else. Same thing happened today in line to get some range time, 4 people behind the desk and none of them even seemed to care about the fact I was waiting there. They were too busy haggling over a box of ammo. Great place but the staff needs to seriously up their customer service game.
Best facilities around, great selection of used products, extraordinarily knowledgeable and friendly staff. This is a safe place to go have fun and improve your shooting skills. They have lots of classes for most skill levels.
I went in with a new rifle and sight combo and while it should have been straight forward; ran into some challenges getting it sighted in due to an unusual design.Chris with TSA stepped up and got it squared away fast and was a great Range Officer to spend some time with. He analyzed and fixed the problem, all the while patiently explaining to me what was going on with the sight. While there, my buddy crossed a bucket list off his item by renting a SAR and having a hell of a good time.
I went here having no knowledge about guns or prior shooting experience and the staff (especially Jeff) was so friendly and helpful! I bought my first gun (a smith and wesson m&p 380 shield EZ) at their recommendation and it’s exactly what I was looking for!
Called ahead asked if I needed anything was just told eye gear and ear protection drive over an hour to the place with adults who all had licenses and was denied entry even though I gave a photo copy of my license and had previously entered license number. The party I was with was even willing to take responsibility for me, not able to even step on range. And they questioned how I new my drivers license number and got all weird about it, should have and will go to my local range in Holly Springs now. Good job.
Nice clean place to shoot. I dont know the membership benefits but as someone that utilize the range every now and then I would like the option of shooting in one of the bays without range staff behind me the entire time. They dont bother you for the most part and if you need them they are very helpful. Just would like the option. Still a nice place.
Nice range but not nice people...Been here once and havent been back since. I rented a weapon and the process was ridiculous. The staff is super slow, unfriendly, and rude.. The range guy is over zealous and unprofessional...I chose this range because its closer to me but Ill drive the distance and go back to my old spot...
What a Great group of professionals! Special kudos to the range officers that are so patient and helpful. If you have timid shooter they are very attentive and incredibly kind to folks new to shooting. They treated my wife so cordially it was amazing.
Really great place.
I was disappointed by how I was Treated -I purchased a used firearm March 10th from the retail shop, the gun was defective but they dont allow shooting the gun prior to purchase so when I finally got it on the range, few days later, I discovered the clip fell out everytime it was fired. It was a weekend so I was told to take it to the gunsmith on Monday. A week passed and the Covid closed the facility. I called for 2 months and couldnt leave a message because the box was full. Finally, I reached Justin this afternoon and he told me he would give me a credit, worth 2/3rds of the purchase price and I could apply it towards a new purchase. My other option was to deal with the manufacturer warranty which I did not want to do. I begrudgingly accepted and drove over to exchange the firearm. When I arrived, Justin immediately took my gun and began processing it as I shopped for a different gun. I made a final decision and was asked for my purchase permit. (Unfortunately, no one had told me that I needed a new permit, being a new firearm owner I simply thought the permit Id used to purchase the defective gun could be transferred for the new gun.) When I discovered I could not purchase the $600 gun Id intended to buy I was frustrated that Id driven to Brier Creek for nothing. At this point I figured going through the manufacturing company would take less time and less money than getting another purchase permit. This was the point that Justin explained that he had already processed the paperwork and told me he was unable to legally give me my gun back. I was livid. Id been screwed twice now! Out the money Id lost on the return and not able to walk out with a gun. Beware, they do not test the used guns prior to putting them on display, if they did, this never would have happened as it was clearly defective. I wont go back. Wish me luck getting another purchase permit, I hear the wait times are brutal...
These guys are awesome! I had an issue with a purchase, these guys could have told me to “get lost”, but they went above and beyond to correct the issue. Rob (the associate that worked with me) and management took care of me and treated me like family. They have definitely made me a customer for life. I can’t thank them enough. I would highly recommend you go see these guys and gals for all of your firearm related needs.
Try to go there every month or so. Range is clean and orderly. The employees have been pleasant to deal with and the onsite cafe is nice.
Very impressed with this range! Right from the beginning, Sandra & Donna in Guest Services were friendly and helpful. My friend & I then were helped by Frank and Justin, two very professional managers that made sure we got a Gift Card worked out that my friend had a few months ago. Once on the range, I was very impressed with not one but three RSOs that paid attention to the safety on the firing line. There were a lot of extremely new shooters and in other ranges, as an experienced shooter, NRA Pistol Instructor/RSO & Glock Armorer, Ive felt unsafe as others were not being supervised properly by the Range staff. Not at Triangle Shooting Academy. Highly recommend this place if youre a new shooter or experienced!
Great experience. Friendly staff. The range officers were very helpful, friendly, and fun to talk to. Ill be back for sure.
Came here and expected it to be comparable to Blackstone Shooting Sports in Charlotte. They close at 7 on Sundays. We came at 4:45 and was told that we would not be able to shoot at all as they take their last shooters at 5:30 and there was an hour wait. I don’t understand why they can’t take last shooters at 6. Very sorely disappointed as it was my cousin’s birthday and he wanted to shoot for the first time. This would not happen at Blackstone. I told him I’ll make up for it in Charlotte.
I would highly recommend Triangle shooting academy. I had a private shooting lesson with Eric Chargois and I cannot recommend him enough! I had walked in with very little experience of shooting a gun. Eric was able to recommend a gun that worked perfect for me. We went through safety drills, how to properly stand, hold the gun, change out magazines, load bullets, etc. I was able to shoot different targets at different distances. By the end of the hour I was able to hit a moving target with great accuracy when prior to this I could hardly hit a target at all, never mind a moving one! Eric is extremely knowledgeable in all things gun related. You can tell he really enjoys his job and helping people. He is very calm and encouraging. If it is your fist time shooting a gun or you are just trying to brush up on your skills, I would once again highly encourage you to take a lesson with Eric. You won’t be disappointed!
Great ranges where safety is #1. Do not get there as much as Id like to but really enjoy the time with the most gun savvy people.
Great prices. Great service. Answered every question with ease. Walked through the process and all pricing from targets to lanes. Talked about the specials and genuinely cared about how you felt from the time you entered until you left. Will become a regular trip on 2 for 1 lane price nights. Wide selection of targets and ammo. Have referred several friends.
It was a group of us, first time shooters and they took their time with us and let us enjoy ourself ! Thursday is date night and Tuesday is ladies night ! Check them out !
I was surprised at how comfortable this range was setup. Comfy couches, if youre waiting around and a cool coffee bar. The staff are extremity knowledgeable, patient and helpful. They may have taken me away from calibers. Will be back!
Have been to this range twice now. The first time the experience was great. Everyone was helpful, nice, and made sure we were ready to go.. the 2nd time I went by myself. As a woman its nervewrecking to go to a range by yourself because you never know how your experience will be. Well my experience was outstanding!! I had a few issues with my ammo and gun.The range officers were on top of things helping me with the issues I had, and even gave me some really good pointers on the handling and shooting of my gun. I was able to learn a lot in just an hour there. They were eager to help and answer any questions I had. As a beginner shooter that really made a world of a difference to me! I will definitely be back and recommending this place.
I went recently and enjoyed the experience. Great facility and staff.
High-end 25yard/meter indoor shooting range and gun store. 4 bays with over a dozen stalls each. Very, clean, polished and professional. Nice cafe with good food built in. Rents a large selection of pistols and longarms, including full auto. Not really that expensive 8f you bring your own gun and ammo. Also offers selection of classes, but I have not taken them. Very safety conscious.
Its was my first time here and I was very impressed of the high level of customer service in all areas of the place. You feel so welcome from the time you step in, all the way to the shooting range and leaving the facility. Im definitely coming back and will highly recommend it to anyone, even if you are just curious about it and know nothing about firearms. All the staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly! Awesome experience!!!
Great place for lunch believe it or not! Super friendly staff and lots of inventory. They have always taken care of me and I have made several purchases from them. Staff on the shooting range have always been very professional. Awesome Sig demo area, gun rentals, and they are GSSF friendly. See you there!
Ive been to a lot of shooting ranging in multiple different states over the years and this was by far the best range Ive been to, to date. The facility was clean and organized! The staff was extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable. Despite showing up during a mad house that was fathers day everything was still organized and moved smoothly. I cannot wait to go back!
Never again. Been here multiple times but will not be back recently. I am experienced with firearms, as well as everyone in our group. Except my mother in law who wanted to just come along to watch outside the glass to get comfortable and maybe take a beginners class here. Unfortunately, one particular older male range employee made all of us not wish to return. We will be going elsewhere. This employee told my fiance to look him the eyes when he was talking to him and was hounding us. My father in law did not take the empty magazine out immediately after shooting all rounds and he jumped on him about it. We did not even complete our hour of shooting. We just left. Range was also full this day on 8/25 around 11:30pm
Great place to shoot. Very responsive management (shout out to Justin), friendly knowledgeable & helpful staff (shout out to Erik and Rob), and three bays with 11 shooting lanes each (33 total!). All indoor, 25 yard distances. They will let you shoot pistol, rifle and shotgun (some restrictions apply!). The nicest indoor shooting range I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at. They even have an indoor firearms shooting simulator.I took my son there to take his concealed handgun class and left there as an annual member. The range is that nice! If you shoot once a week, then this place is a no brainer as an annual membership.Downside? Drawing and firing from the holster is pretty restricted. Absolutely no drawing and firing from concealed and low-level light shooting is limited to classes. I understand the reasons for liability sake, but they should probably recognize that we have some very experienced operators, retired but still functioning guys, and shooters in this area that are not your average enthusiasts. Still, the range is great, the staff are awesome, and they just make you feel at home.RLTW!DG
Chip was great, first time experience was fantastic. I would recommend!
Great facility, staff, range, and inventory. I have been to 4 different places this week shopping for a range and gun shop. THIS PLACE SHINES! You absolutely will not find a better place. One place in South Raleigh treats new shooters like dummies, (I observed this), one place in N. Raleigh, treated me like a bother for asking about a good beginner gun. I quote I aint never seen a beginner gun, what does it look like?I asked Ben at Triangle Shooting Academy the same question and he patiently and knowledgeably took me through some options.I spoke to someones at the gun range desk, they were great! The young woman at the front desk patiently answered my multitude of questions, she was great. No place like this, check it out!
Twice now I’ve gone into TSA to make a possible purchase on a new firearm and there’s only 2 or 3 salesmen behind the counter. They take 30 to 45 minutes with the person they’re helping. I get no acknowledgement at all that someone will be with me shortly. They just stare at you and turn their heads. Meanwhile there’s a handful of other employees just having conversations with each other and it seems like no one can help or even offers to help. Very frustrating and not even sure why they deserve my service or money.
Took my concealed carry course here, very professional, very informative, friendly and safety first oriented staff.
I was an annual member of this institution since its establishment. However, I have made a choice not extend my membership. I brought the targets with me and was questioned if I have taken them from the store. This was humiliating. The targets Ive had with me they do not even carry in their store. Then I was harassed by range officers despite the fact that I have 20 year experience in shooting sports even competitively. They look uninterested and have picked me for occasional harassment. I am sorry, but in my years of being in this sport I am considered to be the most focused safety freak. They are spending time discussing their compensation and company policies. The type of people visiting this range has changed. The range officers did not mind having some very shady-looking people around and actually spent time conversing with them. The entire operation is now focusing on a circus of corporate events. It is a real shame what this place has become.
Overall a nice range. Big on safety. Even though I have a NC CHP, I had to watch the safety video, which I thought was unusual, but I get it.I travel a lot and go to a LOT of ranges up and down the east coast, first time I had to pay for a range card and pay for range time. Sadly, no public safety discount.Lots of RSO’s around when on the line, which was good when the guy next to me dropped his shotgun which fired wildly on its way to the floor. -I don’t think he watched the safety video...
I liked the range, and the people were very friendly, but when I messaged them to see if they would fill out a CMP form for me they told me they could and to call back during a day of the week to make sure there would be some one there who could fill it out, but when I called they said they would not be able to fill it out at all.Update:After going back and forth a bit more on Facebook I found out that the person I was talking to didn’t ask the range master about it, ended up getting my CMP form filled here, and shooting there M1 Garand which was awesome.I’ll stick to some points on my original review, the Range Safety Officers are friendly, and the customer service is pretty nice. Haven’t bought a gun from them, but it looks like they have a pretty good selection of them.
After multiple bad experiences, I have no desire to return to this range. As an avid shooter, I am very familiar with ranges, both good and bad. This was one of the bad ones. First off, I tried to come here with my fiance and her family one Saturday. Just the process of being able to get in the queue for the lanes, along with the treatment we received from the staff at the front desk; we ended up giving up and decided to find something else to do.Another time I came, I came with an active duty friend of mine. We finally were able to get through the process of getting a lane, and began shooting. He had previously received an eye injury while in the service, and was trying to find a new grip position to work with it so he could still aim efficiently. While this was happening, we could hear two range officers make fun of him and how he was trying to shoot. That just further showed the lack of professionalism at this facility. After multiple tries, this is not a place Id recommend.
For my wife, a first time shooter, and me (I had been shooting before once to another range), we found the range to be well designed. Staff was very helpful and polite. The experience was enjoyable and educational and we will be back. This was important to me as my wife was very concerned, having never fire a firearm before.
First class range and shop. The staff was fantastic in helping me make the right purchase. Ben assisted me with my purchase and he was extremely helpful, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. For sure I will be a return customer.
Cool place great staff, great lanes. The staff at the range are knowledgeable and accessible. They allow me to ask questions about my weapon and any upgrades or ammo options. The range officers are just as wonderful and helpful.I have a walking issue and the range officer was so helpful in helping me find a solution that let me have a great time firing my weapon. I will be back there soon as I love this place.Good job guys.
Triangle Shooting Academy is a Phenomenal shooting range with extremely great staff and a incredible facility. I was Immediately welcomed with a smile by the front desk attendant who Instructed us the process for non members to shoot at the range. At first I was concerned there would be a lot of hidden fees that was listed online but there wasnt everything was very straight forward. At the end it cost less then $45/hour per person thats including the gun rental, target(s),ear/eye protection, and ammunition. Which is a pretty good deal. Once we got on the range the safety instructors greeted us instantly and showed us how to use the range equipment. We had a really good time and next time we will be signing up for the membership...its totally worth it. The Triangle Shooting Academy is a prime example of what customer service should look like.
