This place was amazing! We went for a kids birthday party, ended up getting back on the rink, and it was 1982 all over again.

It was okay empty parking lot. Sad as a person coming from a place that had lots to do to knox which has nothing is sad. I’ll stick to Knox

My children had a great time. The employees were friendly and helpful, the environment was clean, and the atmosphere was happy and fun. Our only suggestion would be to add more variety to the music playlist. Will definitely visit again.

The Hardin County Skateland is exactly the same as I remembered it when my friends took me there at age 8-10, 25 long years ago. Back then I never could imagine that my 8 year old would have his party there.From the minute I put the deposit in on their website - I was immediately taken care of by the owner and his wife.I also ordered a pair of skates from them and the owner said if for some reason they didn’t fit he would take care of it.A week before my sons birthday the owners wife called me to tell me the skates were in and if we wanted them to put it in a party bag for us.On the day of the party we were met with nothing but smiles and happy birthday. They ensure all my party members got in promptly and let me “sure up the bill” at the end.The party bag was way more than I could have asked for, and looked fantastic.We were regularly checked on by the staff to make sure everything was alright.50% of the party was made great cause of the facility the other 50% was made amazing by the staff.They say that the art of customer service is dead - not hereThank you for making this party for my 8 year old the best ever.We will definitely be back.

Ive been going here since I was a teenager. It hasnt changed much all except the people and the music. Still a nice clean fun atmosphere to bring my kids.

It was fun weird hours though they could make so much more money if they were open for more than 14hrs a week spread through 3 days??

My experience there was very much positive. My children had a blast and would have stayed far beyond closing, if I had let them.The pizza was good but a little greasy.My only suggestion is to have some posters up or something to give people tips and tricks on skating. Especially on how to stop. The last time I skated I was 8 and my body didnt not forgive me for forgetting how.

One of the best rinks in and around Louisville.... Hands down. They maintain it well, they have referees on the floor, and it is still the authentic wood surface! Everyone is very friendly. Great family fun for 2 to 102!

Good, clean, nice skate o.o my floor. Temperature was 58 degrees at opening time 1:30 pm.aftsr 15 minutes still no heat on. Asked staff/owner ate they going to turn the heat on its 58 degrees inside. Their response was were only open a few hours inferring they were not going to turn it on. After an hour heat was turned on but temp never made it past 66. Might not have been bad for an active skater but for people watching an d waiting it was cold. Many people complained and had to leave jackets on. Staff seemed short. This is my second or third time their there so I doubt it was just a bad day. On a positive note they had a special Spring Break price $2.00 cheaper. $4.00 well spent. Good fun lighting and safe atmosphere.

I would give zero stars but that’s not an option.Don’t drop your kids off and leave if you want them to be safe.I have gone twice and stayed, watching the children interact. I have watched a boy get smacked in the back of the head and heard a group of boys plan on jumping a single boy in the bathroom. Sent my husband in to break it up. Staff did nothing.Second time I took my daughter for a birthday party and a group of girls followed her to the bathroom and were trying to instigate a fight. Again staff was informed and again staff did nothing.A boy that was with this group of girls rammed my daughter on the skating floor punching her in the stomach. When staff was notified we were told they stay neutral and were giving him another chance!There should be a zero tolerance. That is the only way these places will be safe for kids that don’t want to start trouble. It would also discourage children from going with the intent to fight or hurt someone just because they looked at them wrong. We need to have convenience for actions.I took my daughter and her friends home. If I take my children to a kid establishment I expect my children to be safe.We will never visit this place again! My children’s safety is to important!

First time skating in my whole 25 years of living. I fell a lot and still suck at skating but it made my date happy since the people were nice and the music was enjoyable. 5 stars if they ever learn to put training wheels on skates.

Great for birthday parties and indoor fun with kids. My kids wanted newer music, but still clean music playing! Had a great time.

Ok guys this is an honest review I go there at least once a week. This is hands down the best skating rink around it’s got an awesome real wood floor that is always well kept, cheap admission prices, if u go in the afternoon it’s only 6 dollars which equals 2 and hour that beats almost everyone else EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND NICE STAFF, if u have read all the reviews that say they are bad look at the date, I recommend that u give them another chance they have improved a tremendous amount in very little time everyone there is always nice and if there are rough skaters they are dealed with swiftly. This as I said before is the best skating rink around.

Very fun place and not expensive at all

We have left a review a couple of years for this place and it wasnt a great one. They are making changes and to those who havent been in a while, should try it again too. Parents no longer have to pay to watch. The place is a lot cleaner and lots friendlier. The food still isnt the greatest and they really need two people on the floor to monitor the kids. One skating and one watching unsupervised kids on the side.

Owners are wonderful. They really help ALOT with birthday party fun. They also get to know all the families on an exceptional level. The customer service, pizza and prices have Blazers beat by FAR. This place has my vote as the BEST venue to have a childs birthday party. Only suggestion would be add crushed red pepper or hot sauce for the adults for pizza orders.

We had my sons 6th birthday here and it was great, everyone had a lot of fun.

Took my 12/13 yr old nieces and we had a great time. After not skating for over 10 years my knees hurt from the falls... they loved it though, lol. Great experience, staff was friendly and overall good time.

Had my daughters birthday party here. She had an awesome time, they made her feel special! The new owners and the employee who helped with my party was Awesome:) I would recommend this place to everyone!

We just moved to Kentucky and this was our first time at HCS. We had a great time skating and the staff was friendly, attentive, and ready to ensure that all patrons adhered to the rules. The fellow skaters were mostly kids and of course kids get rowdy but they all seemed okay to me. If you got knocked down out fell they would ask if you were okay, help you up, and go on about their way. The price seemed reasonable ($8) for the amount of time you could skate (7pm-11pm). They had toddler skates which were perfect for my new skater and we could move slowly around the middle of the rink with no worries of collisions. The place is in need of some new seating areas. The benches were fine but the circular seats are in need of updating. All in all we had a great time and look forward to going back.

I came to this skating rink went it first opened back in the 1980s till late 80s. I have a lifetime of memories skating there. Not sure what its like now. Hopefully still as awesome.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Family ran business and very safe atmosphere. Skating ring is clean and without damages. They do have races and games for all ages incl. Adults. Would recommend this place to everybody Families Groups Schools etc. BIRTHDAY PARTIES!

Amazing place! We bring our churchs youth group here. There is never any fighting or problems. Food is pretty good to.

I dont think they should make you pay full price if you arent going to skate. My grandson loves to go there but had surgery due to breaking his femur. They still charge full price just so he can meet his friends.

The place looks sketchy from the outside, however, the inside is not too bad. They keep the floor active with different skate events, continuous music and dance floor lighting. The floor is spacious and easy to get around on the outside.

First time I took my daughter and two friends. When I parked I noticed on the ground a needle. I should of left then. The adult supervision is one or two people. The older man that hands out skates was very rude. I smelled pot smoke from the bathroom. Kids were just going crazy and doing as they please. One kid was clearly on something acting crazy and no one seemed to mind it. I will never come back. This place was very disappointing. Does not even deserve a star.

Went there a couple weeks ago for a birthday party. Everyone there was rude with the exception of the wonderful floor guard/concession/roller skate issuer. The place appears to never have been updated....EVER! I can say that it was not busy so it made skating for the beginners more enjoyable. I hope we never get invited to a birthday party or any event there. I will have to decline. Unless the attitudes change, STAY AWAY!

Took my teen daughter and her BFF on a Saturday night... We had an absolute blast! The pricing is reasonable; especially considering how much time you get for your money (8pm-11pm = $8; 11pm-1am = $2; 8pm-1am = $10); prices include skate-rental. Skates were in good condition. The place was well maintained and included friendly staff(and guests). The employees introduced periodic skating games for all age groups (with prizes) to keep the skaters entertained. Different music genres were played through the night, though mainly targeted towards the teen/young-adult population. Venue features included: party lighting, disco balls, blacklights, 3 pool tables, concessions / dining area, air hockey table, water fountains, change machine, and lockers. Also features a merchandise room where kids can purchase flashing jewelry and even speed skates, if needed. Will certainly be returning for more fun! Hope to have my sons 11th birthday party here! Would highly recommend!!!!

The crowd is kind of unruly. My kids werent able to skate without older kids almost knocking them over. $8 each to skate is pretty expensive.

Its summer break for the kids you all should have more times during the week to be open! Says closed for private parties but your parking lot is always empty!

Ive been going here for 7-8 years and my time has ended here shortly this was my second home away from home. This place has been my safe haven when i needed to get away from home and seeing the people here and all the generations and a reminder what ill be leaving. And i want to thank gary and paula for their caring and loving theyve had, thank you hardin county skateland.

My kids like it they have update the place there no concrete floors its carpet there lots of people. Go there. People. Nice no problem since i been there

Nice place to go, but some of the employees there are very rude and are not understanding about much of anything other then that i think the place is great. Once the employees are taught basic manners i will rate this five stars

This doesnt even deserve one star. It was just awful. My friend sat down behind a pool table because she fell and got hurt and the referee yelled at her to get up. We were sitting in a booth and were told to leave the food area even though we were waiting on our other friend with our food. They threw away our drinks even though they were still half way full. We stayed for new years and on their website, it didnt tell us it was 20$ so wasted money on a horrible experience that WONT happen again. They need to update their website too. Its not free wifi, its free wifi for ONE HOUR. The referee man ( I wont put names) glared at my friends and i, followed us around and constantly pointed out small things to get us in trouble for. It was freezing in the building, so we got under a blanket we brought and he told us that there is a rule in the lobby about distance, but when we went to leave, we looked and there was not a rule about it. The food was terible and over priced. A two year old with a easy bake oven could make better food. The people there were awful. I will never go back to this place again. Take my advice. Its not worth it. You would have more fun walking around Walmart for hours .

This place is one of the most ghetto place in RadCliffe. It looks like its been there for thirty years. As soon as I walked in it smelled horrible. If I were you I would go to blazers. They have a quality skating rink, and they other activities.
