Nice place to go. Not to crowded
The view is beautiful.
A beautiful place to take in the ocean view! We hadnt imagined what we would see when we came around the last corner, almost breathtaking. As for the curvy, one lane entrance road, its not that bad. Paved, with cement barriers on the sides, and a pull off about half way up that easily accommodates a car or two. There are plenty of shady spots and palm trees blowing in the breeze. The beach is not for swimming and theres only a small sandy area about 50 meters wide, the rest is made up of jagged rock thats fun to explore (with care). There are covered picnic tables and benches in different spots. The downside is the trash...its not horrible, but it can take away from the beauty.
Really good place to relax. Entrance is really bad. Not a real beach.
Pretty view of the sea, but nothing else
The best secluded beach!
The best in the best Beautiful Beach !!!!!
Love it, I will go back.
Not a lot of sand, greate time
Amazing beautiful
Nice beach
Very pretty area
Nice place for a relaxing afternoon with a lot of history behind it
Beautiful scenery
The island of Puerto Rico, like the rest of the Caribbean, was no stranger to piracy during the Spanish colonization. Today, the most common association with them is the northwestern town of Quebradillas, nicknamed La Guarida del Pirata(“The Pirate’s Hideout”). Along the Quebradillas coastline lie the remains of an old port that locals believe was once a popular place for contraband and piracy. The ruins of Puerto Hermina (also known as Puerto Mina) are best known for a small 18th-century masonry fortification near the coast. In the past, the structure had a wooden roof, door, and windows, which were lost through time. The structure’s purpose is somewhat debatable. Popular belief claims that it was a former military post, but its location suggests that it may have been used as a storage site, a wave break, or a customs office. Some historians suggest that Puerto Hermina was a smuggling site due to its remote location and difficult access, attracting many ships to conduct illegal businesses with the locals. This means the port most likely attracted pirates as well. It is believed that the cliffs surrounding the port were an ideal place to hide their stolen goods. According to a local legend, Puerto Rico’s most famous pirate, Cofresí, used Puerto Hermina as a hideout. Since he was very charitable to the local people in need, the locals supported and protected him from the law.The small fort was abandoned and forgotten by the end of the 19th century. It was rediscovered in 1952, and today Puerto Hermina is one of the top attractions in Quebradillas. Besides the small fort, the area offers a beautiful view of the coast and the beach is a popular fishing and surfing spot. Another curiosity is the Indian head carved in stone, by the cliffs surrounding the area.
Its calm and relaxing beach. Parking its free.
I love this place!!!
Eords not enough..gotta know someone to get here..hidden gem.surfer paradise
It is like a hidden place, even not all locals know about this beautiful place. It has a Taino face carved in a rock, ruins, a water mouth that looks more like a Canyon, waves for surfers, and a paradise for photographers. It is a safe and peaceful beach. Just be aware of the big waves or rip currents if you are going to swim.
Beautiful place
Peaceful, relaxing gorgeous place
Not a swimming beach. Can always see surfers out here. But its super chill. Nice place to sit on the rocks or a bench and contemplate life while watching the waves break. There is also a cool fort that pirates built. And a nice carving of a native in the mountain. Some cool caves too.
Great for its views but not for swimming
Beautiful beach and fun area to explore. Great spot for photos.
A beautiful place to see. It wasnt great for swimming though since it was a little rough. Be careful of the steep hill street you have to go down to get to the beach /parking lot. We only went for the view but there were a few sunbathers there. Oh they have a picnic table area if you want it use it. I enjoyed the history part of it most. My mom said they used to hold supplies in that stone storeroom when the ships were arrive and then distribute it to the town.
Beautiful beach to see the nature and have a relax time
Wonderful place. Beautiful. Stray pit puppy mix that we gave water to. He is friendly but understands spanish only. Dont touch him though he has bugs.
Historical place. No security so you are on your own. Recommended to go in big groups.
Have seen this place on T.V. but havent been there yet, some day we will.
Beautiful view!
Private secluded Beach in Quebradillas, great for fishing and surfing

Such a beautiful place! Undescribable beauty and the glory of watching the sunrise and experiencing the peace of meeting with God here. What an awesome God we have!
A beautiful sight of this old fort. And if you are in to walking, reach to the Puente la bellanca you Ill not regret it!
Down a steep hill you must drive very slow. Once you are there enjoy. It is beautiful.
Hidden gem. Great place for a picknic or even a camp out. Quite Rocky, so not really a swimming beach. For that reason there are usually not many people there.
A beautiful place!! Love it a lot!!
Great lace to spend the day
Nice local place.

Good place to relax and meditate with the sound of the ocean. There is an interesting ruin you can walk into.
Is a beautiful beach, but the road scared me half to death.
Great developing rock climbing area 20 feet from the car, next to the ocean.
Beautiful hide out beach placeVery romantic siteWatch out for theScary downhill street to get there
Its more of a local thing, but its pretty enchanting. Theres an old Spanish storage shack still standing made of stone that most be over 500 years old and still has the holes for the rifles. The locals keep ot nice and clean, so be adviced that government plays no part here so lets be courteous. Noce indeed.
Nice tranquil place
Recommended for everyone...amazing!!!
Beautiful private like beach One of the most peaceful place in the world
Playa Puerto Hermina Cofresi Ruins in Quebradillas is a great beach to enjoy the scenery and relax.
Sooo pretty, yet so dark at night there’s no light at all.
Amazing!
Good place to hang around with friends.
Beautiful place to have lunch with the family has a small Beach and the views are spectacular
Very nice place.
This is my home. Always beautiful!
This is a hideaway beach on a dead end Highway 4485 . It is good only to enjoy the tranquility and the scenery because the water is too rough to bathe, typical of the waters of Puerto Ricos north coast. There were half of a dozen cars on a Saturday afternoon when I got there.A section of the road just before the beach is very steep and with a very tight curve. To and from, I had to use the opposite lane to maneuver the curve with my 20-ft pickup truck. Due to the steepness of the hill going up (on my return trip), my back tires lost traction on the curve. Remember, I had to use the opposite lane here which, in my estimate, is a 300-degree bend. Luckily there was no vehicle coming down then because if that was the case, it would be dangerous and very difficult for any one of us to reverse. My truck is a 2x4 and had no load on the bed. Simply too dangerous for any large vehicle without load.
Secluded beach. Climb the rock for great views. Taino Head carving. Free parking. Windy and wavy beach not for swiming.
Great spot to relax enjoy the beach
Loved this beach in Quebradillas
Breath taking Quebradillas P.R beach
Fireflies in the trees, camped on the beach in a tent (probably not legal). Dope vibes, crushed a quart of caribbean rum and yo’ho’ho’d all night long
Nice secluded beach. Mostly locals know about it.
