Susan our guide was very interesting and informative. It was a ghost tour with historical stories that kept us listening to how the city of Providence was started and the founding fathers developed the areas. I would recommend this tour as a relaxing and entertaining experience. And there were strong feelings of supernaturalsurroundings us at times. Happy Ghost hunting!
A fun and informative tour. Our guide Charlene was a gifted storyteller who really brought these spooky historical tales to life! She also thoughtfully answered questions and was enthusiastic and energetic. Felt like I got my moneys worth unlike other silly and gimmicky ” ghost tours.
What a great place to bring people together!
Pretty neat ghost tour. Our guide, Nicky, was awesome! Im not really into ghost stuff usually, but she had a lot of interesting stories about the history and tragedies that have happened on some of Providences streets. Good for a nice evening walk, too. I imagine this tour is really busy in October. We went in June. Apparently, students from nearby colleges (i.e. Brown and RISD) will come up to tour groups and say ghoooooosts! Unfortunately, I didnt get to see that. I definitely recommend this tour!
This tour is a fun way to see the city. Good balance of humor and spooky moments. Nikki was fantastic and did a great job on our tour. She catered to our interests when we asked her for more history or story details that weren’t necessarily part of the tour. Would definitely recommend!
A great way to spend an hour and a half on a beautiful September evening. Not a scary tour, but interesting. Especially if you enjoy history and the paranormal, as I do. Our guide, Stephanie, was fabulous.Be prepared to walk a steep street or two - uphill! Also, no restroom stop nor place to purchase a beverage. Bring a water bottle!Dinner on Thayer afterward made the evening complete!
Had a great time exploring Providence and learning about its bloody and haunted history. Our guide was wonderful and gave a very entertaining performance.
Such a great way to spend an hour and a half. I learned a lot about Providence, the buildings and their history. The tour guide was sweet and knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. Ended the tour with perfect views of the city. Highly recommend!!!
I booked this just a few hours before the tour, as we were looking for things to do in RI, however our 6 year old fell riding his bike and we ended up leaving (from NJ) later than we had planned.Since there was no way to make it in time for the tour, I contacted the company to request a refund given the circumstances. The responses were overtly indifferent to our situation and simply stated that all sales are final, refusing to make any concession. As the cost of the tour was only around $40 for all three of us, I can only assume this attitude is more indicative of the general nature of the tour company and so wrote this as a warning to others whos plans may also unexpectedly change.
Super cool! Loved every historic story behind all the building. Great experience! Came from NY just because, and found this pamphlet at our hotel!! Loved it
SO GREAT!!!! Our Ghostess with the mostest was telling the stories with a fun flair while we were walking through newport. It was a great adventure and it was a definite spot for tourists to check out, and anyone who lives here! The bit of history makes the town feel alive, and it was a great time. Definitely go when you get the chance next time youre in providence !!
Went on the Ghost Tour last night had so much fun learned about the history of Providence. Our guide was so knowledgeable definitely would do this again
Ghost tours are one of my favorite things to do in a new city. Providence Ghost Tour was a very informative tour with a lot of very interesting history to share. Our guide was Nikki and its clear that she truly enjoys this job and is passionate about the history. You can tell that they truly research each story. If you like ghost tours, I definitely recommend this one.
My girlfriend and I did this a few years back. It starts at one of my favorite places in Providence on one of my favorite streets in Providence. You learn a lot of history on this tour as well! But prepare to walk a lot, up and down college hill(s). I recommend it!
Great park to bring a dog, also great for photography outdoors. Nice view of downtown from a high hill.
Great your guides, creepy stories, and a nightly walk through a beautifully historic neighborhood make for a great ghost tour.
Im very very into ghosts and spirits........ This is something i definitely plan on going to very soon. Some of my kids love the paranormal as well and i know they would LOVE to go. My daughter is begging to go to the lizzy boarden home. I know they have sleep overs there. Well after i go to this providence ghost tour i will write another review on how i liked or hated this tour. I am giving the website 4 stars out of 5 stars because there is always place to upgrade.
Great tour good guide..creepy but fun
Great experience! Tour guide was awesome and you can tell she really enjoys doing it. Wear comfortable attire and shoes because you will walk for about 2 hours throughout the area. Definitely a great time and highly recommended.
This is one of the better ghost tours Ive been on. We go to a multitude of locations in this ancient, eldritch city, however we dont go inside any of them, not that that was necessary, that merely enticed me to visit them and go inside during the day. With Roger Williamss final resting place, bodies under Benefit Street, Poe sightings outside the Aethaneum, a fatal carriage accident on George Street, eternal love at the Annmary Brown Memorial, horrors that occurred inside Brown University during its tenure as a hospital during the American Revolution that still linger to this day, human skin bound books at the John Hay Library, the house where H. P. Lovecraft died...Dont let the verdant, tree-lined streets surmounted by church steeples and gambrel-roofed houses that stand sentinel in silent majesty fool you, Providence is really a city that holds onto her dead. Our hostess Stephanie really brought the ghosts of Providence to life, with her poetic, confident storytelling. Would recommend and and would most definitely hurry back.
It is interesting and fun and the views you get are amazing
This is such a fun way to spend an evening! If youre traveling I recommend doing the tour the first night so that you can go back and visit the inside of the buildings the next day. Excellent way to see the Brown University area and learn the history of the streets and buildings. Our guide, Kelly, told the stories in a way that was entertaining and respectful to the dearly departed. This company researches the truth behind stories so you can rest assured that you are hearing facts which makes things much spookier.
Never been there but its definitely on my bucket list.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Providence Ghost Tour. Very impressed by the guide and how the information and stories were portrayed. We also enjoyed the overall creepy vibe the guide was able to build without being overly dramatic. Lastly, its clear this group shares our affinity for Providence.Would recommend to anyone who likes ghost walks, definitely the best one I have been on
Not very cheap, but a fun experience, if you like those Kind of tours. Definitely an interesting way getting to know more about this fantastic city. The view from the marked point is the best you can possibly find
Can’t wait for October to roll around. Real stories about real people. Haunting.
So great! Learned so much about providence. BRING CASH FOR TIPS!!!! I didnt do this and I wish I had, our guide was so fun and made everything really interesting. I would do this again for sure.
