History is everywhere. It is interesting and fun to explore in your state. You probably dont have to go far from your home to find some great bits of history.So...if you explore share it, I do believe that is part of the fun. I wish you a happy adventure.
Its a huge monument in a beautiful town in the same area as the Princeton police station. There arent many parking spots here, although unless its unusually busy thats probably not a problem.Theres also a small statue fountain here and a bell from the ship, The Princeton. And yes you can ring it and its loud, as we found out when a pair of young kids rang it.
It os a good historical monument that goes beyond its goven title.
Imposing but located next to a really ugly building among bushes so the sense of grandeur is definitely lost.
Nice memorial located near the Morven House. Could use a nice cleaning (as of January 2020) but it is still a nice memorial to visit. There are a few other memorials and plaques near by, including a new one for Einstein. The Peacock Inn is located nearby which is a nice place to stop in for a drink.
Reminds me of a statue I last saw in Moscow. A little overboard and scary.
This monument is located at the meeting point between route 27 and route 206 in Princeton, NJ. It commemorates the Battle of Princeton that took place on 3 January, 1777. General Washington won this battle against the British. It also depicts the death of General Hugh Mercer. This battle was an important battle in the American Revolutionary War.
Great place to visit
Very impressive sculpture. Check out the Wikipedia page for a description of the sculpture. There are some other smaller sculptures nearby that are worth checking out.
Impressive monument of George Washington leading his troops in the Battle of Princeton . The Battle of Princeton was the last part of Washington’s 10 crucial days which started when he crossed the Delaware to surprise the Hessians in Trenton on Christmas day in 1776. I found a good driving tour of this from a free app – free walking tours presents – which followed Washington’s path to Princeton.
Cool place!
The monument is quite nice and is in a beautiful but quiet part of town.
Nice place to visit.
Very beautiful monument
A surprising amount of history here - worth a check if you have an interest in Colonial-Era U.S. History.
Stunning.

Beautiful monument. Good place for a photo opportunity in Princeton.
I put the car for 30 minutes next to Monument and took couple of pictures.
Great place on a nice day.
Around the garden or statue.
Interesting
Love it
Great monument with free parking. The faces of the revolution are displayed for your interpretation. Nice shady areas to sit and you can walk into Princeton from here.
I actually used the monument as a landmark for directions to Suzanne Patterson Center.
Cant imagine what would have happened if even 1 single mistake was made... Its an amazing monument!
Must see! If you walk down Nassau Street this is a great spot to start or end your tour!

Nice place to visit and share a piece of history with kids
Loved the free walk
Gorgeously carved memorial, but nearly no info on the battle itself for which the monument was erected.
Great monument, right on the edge of downtown Princeton; this will make it serve as a perfect ending or beginning (depending on where you are coming from) of a walk down Nassau Street.
Colossal. The monument and art sculptures around it are amazingly beautiful.
Great place to visit
Good place to enjoy some early American history.
The colonnade at the far edge of the site has nothing to do with the battle.
Beaux Arts monument celebrating General Washingtons victory in the Battle of Princeton. Lovely.
It is open to the public. It is a good place to get fresh air and learn some US history.
Some Revolutionary War history but it could use some TLC and imagination
Good monument big and nice carvings are on it.
Very beautiful, especially at night.
Bring your kid here. Let them ring the bell!
This isnt really the battle monument its the front of the Old Town Hall. I guess it is a revolutionary war Battle Monument but its not the one that I usually think of the battlefield Monument.
Nice Place to take friends from out of town.
Its monumental
Not much to see, but a nice space
Beautiful place
WHERE IS THOMAS PAINES MEMORIAL???It was Thomas Paine who convinced the militia to fight on and help Washington get his first couple of victories after losing 7 battles in a row, and was running scared until Paine wrote the crisis papers that reinvigorated the troops. John Adams once said Without the pen of Paine, the sword of Washington would have been wielded in vain. What a shame that Paine, even in this day and age, still gets thrown under the bus. He deserves much more recognition from every American.
Princeton is full of great historical locations, this monument details the historical battle of Princeton during the revolutionary war.
