Cool visit, the African exhibit is really impressive to see, it looks like what Ive seen before on Big Cat Diary and has lots of animals over a big area. The bears are impressive and the gibbons entertain. The kangaroo enclosure is a walk through and they could come out close but stayed off the path this visit. Missed going to Asia but the rest was really cool to see.
Attended the Boo at the Zoo (4p-8p)event. Was a nice early evening when we arrived. Lot more people than we expected considering the pandemic. Many did not wear masks as required. Treats for the children were not organized properly nor many treat stands set up. Not many animals out to be seen. We had fun nonetheless. However, for the price of admission for 2 adults and one child and parking, $65, was not worth the 3 hours we were there. We made the best of it and Allison was happy so that is what matters most. We will most likely purchase a family season pass next year when the weather is nicer and all the animals are out and available to be seen. We do recommend the Columbus Zoo to visit. Godspeed to all.
Beautiful facility and expansive layout. The animals are all in well thought out habitats/living areas that make visiting almost like being in a tiny bit of their natural habitat. The camel ride for $7 was a huge success for a 5 year old and a 16 year old and they did not have to wait very long. The lines for feeding the giraffes were extremely long. With Covid-19 there is timed and limited entry but it still seems busy (we visited on a Saturday). Prices in the gift stores were surprisingly affordable.
This is an amazing experience. I cannot say how amazing this zoo is. It is very large, you can easily spend 5 or 6 hours here.It is spread out so you dont feel crowded. There were many food and drink stations so you had lots of items to choose from. The zoo was broken up into different areas. The animal enclosures were huge, but you were able to see the animals very well.Anyone who visits Columbus needs to make their way to the zoo. You will enjoy it!!!
Always a great time!!!! Today we visited stingray bay which was so much fun! We got to actually pet them and feed them too!Plus if you havent seen the lights its a must.
One of the best zoos Ive ever been to! Super clean, beautiful exhibits, tons of fun interactive activities for kids. Great for any age, with a very diverse array of animals to see. The staff were all courteous and friendly. Highly recommend!
Was visiting from out of town and decided to visit the zoo before heading home. LOVED it. The exhibits were wonderfully done. I loved how there were misting sprays and fans set up for the animals, all the employees were very friendly. The boat ride was very relaxing and enjoyable. Next time we are in Ohio, this definitely will be a stop again.
The zoo is diverse in habitats and animals and puts their care, conservation, and guest education first. You can always expect a wonderful experience full of learning and observing. The zoo is constantly making updates and making sure guests have a hands on experience. There are volunteers ready to answer questions and share facts! Overall a great place to visit.
Love visiting the zoo here on Columbus for the variety of animals and the focus on conservation. A great place for a family adventure, date, or solo exploration. If large crowds arent your thing, consider going right after lunchtime on the weekend to secure a closer parking spot and a lull in numbers as the early birds head home or pause for lunch. Alternatively if you have a membership, consider visiting on a weekday about an hour or so before close and visit just one section of the zoo, then head home.
One of my favorite zoos. It is clean with a neat layout and easy to walk around. The animal areas are kept very clean with lots of viewing areas.Covid precautions were taken by everyone including staff and patrons. They have good food/snack options. Parking is easy to access and souvenir shops are well stocked. Very enjoyable.
Very nice time. Not crowded at all. Sensible covid setup. They updated and added some new stuff. Santa Photo is $25 for an 8 x 10
No one understood the 6 foot rule you will be trying to see something with your little.one and ppl just walk up and get on your heels. Had a good time but the price is a bit much for half the zoo
Beautiful lights. Very friendly staff. Not crowded on a week night. A great experience overall!
Just a top level zoo... everyone we very professional and they adhered to the safety regulations for the covid protocols... the Boo at the zoo was very well coordinated and the kids had such a great time interacting with the staff and collecting candy. Absolutely love this place. Definitely a must see
Me and my boyfriend had a blast going and seeing all the animals and the light show! Even with parts of the park unavailable and the temperature being pretty cold it was a great time and I will most definitely be returning in the summer for the fullest experience!
My family here for holiday loved it especially my grand daughters. We stayed several hours and roasted marshmallows. Also saw the new baby Manatees. A wonderful family adventure.
LOVED IT!!!!! The day time covid precautions were wonderful, I loved the setup of the zoo, the attractions were great. The Wild lights in the evening were beautiful. The only thing that bothered me Was the amount of people let in at night for the wild lights. We felt a bit uncomfortable so we left after 20 minutes. But over all its a fantastic place
There is so much to see at this zoo. I recommend getting there early to ensure you have time for everything. The camel rides as well as the pony rides definitely are fun for the kids. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the animals and love their jobs.
Massive and phenomenal zoo with great exhibits focused on Asian, African, North American and Australian animals. The animals are all healthy and well cared for. Great time for families with kids of any age, it doesnt disappoint.
Liked it. The kids enjoyed it. I wish i knew what its like if covid wasnt happening it would probably have lots open. But it was a great walk and what we did get to see was pretty neat.
So worth renewing our membership because of the new exhibit. You must check out the STINGRAYS! They are gentle puppies and so smooth we went 3 times in one day. My girls were lucky to talk to one of the zooologists and got a tooth to take home! Best homeschool adventure in learning! We cant wait to research and write about our adventures in our journals!
Weve had a membership for the last three or four years. If you have children and can get to the zoo regularly, its worth it. With the membership, we dont feel like we have to rush to see our moneys worth because we know that we can come back. Since we dont live in Franklin county, its a little more expensive, but over all, two adults ($44 total outside the county) two kids (one under 3, so free and $17 for ages 3-9), just going twice Laura for itself with our small family. It also allows us to bring family when they visit from out of town AND my mother, who takes care of our kids during the day is on it as well, so it covers so many folks. The docents are great. I would like to see if there are any efforts increasing diversity in docents. SHADES of Animal Science is a great start at OSU, in the College of Ag.The new Adventure Cove exhibit is really nice and they let the capybaras out to wash around twice during the day, so you can see these giant rodents up close.Be sure up bring a mask. They are mandated in all interior exhibits. About 95% of folks are compliant. You always have someone who just cant get right.
Biggest zoo in Ohio! Tons of things to see & interactive things for the little ones. Zoombezi bay is right behind the zoo which is awesome!! Most of the interactive stuff for the kids is closed.***Covid-19*** you buy your tickets online & whatever time you buy them for, example 9am, is the time they will allow you to walk through the gates. Masks are “required” but we didn’t wear them much as long as you stay away from others. The polar bear playground is open for kids & the carousel is open as well! The train ride is open too. There are barricades so you cannot get too close to the glass to see some animals, but you can still see them all just fine, the zoo isn’t much different then when the normal world is functioning. All food vendors are open as well as the restaurants.Highly encourage you to go to “the cove” first and walk through the new sea lion exhibit. It’s AWESOME.
As residents of Central Ohio, we are truly spoiled to have a world class zoo right in our backyard. My wife and I take our kids several times a year, and they always enjoy it. It’s large, diverse, easy to get in and out, and offers something for just about everyone.
We have an awesome time. We took our Granddaughter for her first trip to zoo. She was amazed.
I love how this zoo keeps growing and expanding! Its really a local gem in our area! With a seasonal water park and adventure cove that has permanent carnival style rides is truly a wonderful family location! I do hope they continue expansion of the aquatic world of the animal experience. Itll make this the best location in the nation! Cool fact is tho it really is one of the highest rated zoos in the nation by most publications!
We stopped here and the Wilds after enjoying them being featured on Disney+. It was worth the trip for us and we had a great time. Fed a giraffe and watched the cheetah run. Thats a fast kitty. Very nice zoo and the exhibits are awesome.
Had a great time with our almost 2 year old and family. Every animal was out except the prairie dogs. Was able to see everything in about 6.5 hours. Polar and brown bears were our favorites since they were both up playing and swimming in the morning. Only downside was limited food options with very long lines (~20 min).
Always a great time. Go in fall & winter to avoid overwhelming crowds. If you are local its just fun to take the kids for an hour or so, get a hot pretzel (& a beer if your kids are driving you nuts) and go for a camel ride which is surprisingly enjoyable. Lots of tasty food options.
We loved our experience at the zoo. So many different and unique things for us to do. Sting Ray Bay was very cool and my kids loved it. Then add the amazing experience of feeding a giraffe and the kids were absolutely mind-blown. Would highly recommend this for families.
Love this place! Their new adventure Cove is amazing! We absolutely love touching stingray and the stingray seem happy and comfortable with it also. This park is clean and great use of bathroom locations.
Our favorite Zoo far. Hard to choose a favorite part of it but were especially find of the Polar Bears exhibit since you can see them swim from underwater! Also love the manitees and the giant bats.
We have always loved the zoo, the gorillas are our favorite.. they always seem to be the most active when we are there.Dont care much for the boo at the zoo, there is only like 6 tables set up for kids to trick or treat and pretty much all the animals are put away.. it is nice they do events for the kiddos tho!Love seeing the Christmas lights!
Best overall zoo Ive been to! Great opportunity to see animals from multiple angles. Food was good! Amazing spacious, people werent on top of each other.
This was the first time the family had gone in 2020 and we decided to get the family membership as it was the best place to social distance. I enjoyed the concept of only allowing certain number of people in at a time. Looking forward to using our membership more often.
Phenomenal zoo! Today was my first time here, and it was amazing!! All of the animals were so active and happy! (I went on a cool, cloudy day if that helps) All of the keepers and volunteers were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Definitely give yourself an entire day to fully enjoy the entire zoo and wear comfy shoes! Totally worth the price and walk! Ill definitely come back!
By far one of the best Zoos Ive ever been too...Ive always loved the zoo but never been compelled to buy a season pass ESPECIALLY when I live two hours away, but I did! Although we didnt get to see even half of it because we were only able to get late tickets, I was thoroughly impressed by what we did see. Will be back!
Best zoo in the country. Weve been to many many zoos, and the Columbus Zoo is the best. So much to see and do. Well kept up grounds and they seem to take really good care of their animals. The price for what you get makes it an amazing value.
We havent been to Columbus Zoo in a long time! My boyfriend and I took my girls to Boo At the Zoo on Sweetest Day! It was a great day for the family! We got to see do many different animals. The girls love the giraffes and elephants! I got to drink a cup of coffee from one of the Starbucks vendors there. And we ate at one of the food stands! Everything was wonderful, but the prices were a little high. The only complai t was we wanted to do the boat ride and I was gonna cost $2.00 a person but we couldnt pay at the ride we would have to walk all the way back to a stand to buy passes for the few rides they did have.
Animals are about pure love. I wouldnt want to live in a world without them. CZ&A helps wildlifes cause in so many ways. I never could be up close to a cheetah, or a sloth, or a king cobra, without their commitment to preserving our wildlife & managing their care. Thank you for putting a little love in my heart when I needed it the most.
The Columbus Zoo was a fun time! They had good Covid policies.
Great time at the zoo, even with the current state of things with Covid and all. Masks are required in the indoor areas. Great place to take kids and adults alike. Many attractions to see.If you have a young one, new to walking, plan to be there at an earlier time frame as you will find it difficult to see everything if you dont arrive before 1230.Access to the park before 2pm, requires a ticket purchased ahead of time. Times are in 1 hour intervals and start at park opening and are on the half hour, each hour.Arriving after 2pm however doesnt require pre purchasing a ticket, but the park does close at 5 pm during the week.
Amazing zoo. Its huge, so dont fret if you cant see it all in one day, but if you keep up a nice place you technically can see it all in one trip. They have the zoo set up based on where the animals are from and each area gives a feeling as if youve been transported to that area of the world. They are also handling the pandemic pretty well. You have to buy your tickets ahead of time and they have lots of markers on the ground to help you spread six feet out. They also do a wonderful job telling animals stories throughout the zoo. Whether its the story of an individual animal that lives/once lived at the zoo or the story of a species going extinct.
All around a great zoo you definatly need to get there early and plan to be there until closing. Its a massive zoo and might be better to make 2 trips to see everything. All of the exhibits are well maintained and clean. There are some small areas that are closed off due to the pandemic but nothing inhibits your viewing experience. There were several times that you were able to interact with the keepers and ask questions. There is camel rides giraffe eating and they even had a cheetah race while I was there. It was an amazing experience. All of the animals look healthy and happy and several had babies with them. The gorilla and bonobo exhibits were awe inspiring and really sets the bar for ape enclosures. The African plain exhibit really takes your breath away as well it is a massive exhibit with giraffes gazelles crowned cranes zebra and lions. The lion exhibit looks like they are in with the other animals and really ties the zoo together.
A good zoo but I did dock a star for the hours of operation. Based on month but should be based on temperature, (IMO). Its 74° out here yet Nov hours are only till 5, now I cant take my daughter there after work.
I love the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Its a nice nature walk lots to see. The walk can be a lot to handle so I would suggest comfortable shoes. food is really good there but it is also expensive however they allow you to pack a cooler and bring in your own food which is a very nice feature.
Easily the best my favorite zoo experience. We didnt even receive the full experience due to the co-vid restrictions, and we still had an amazing time. What I enjoyed the most was the atmosphere. The zoo closed at 7pm, and we were not ushered to the front gate, we just slowly made our way back, while checking out a few extra exhibits on the way back. . . and the staff seemed super chilled about us not rushing. They even seemed to encourage it. I loved it, and we will likely purchase passes and bring our out of town guests here to enjoy as well.
First time visitors from Michigan. Great zoo. Awesome employees! Definitely coming back
Less than half the people wearing masks and decently busy on the Saturday afternoon we went. I thought they limited admission but it felt very crowded. Not the experience I was expecting according to their website. It was very disappointing and our group of 7 was so uncomfortable that we left after only 40 minutes. Over $150 when you included parking for 2 cars. I expressed my concern on the way out and the customer relations person was very polite. Totally not his fault. He offered tickets to come back (exp 1/2001) but we live 3 1/2 hours away so that’s probably not going to happen.I wish I could leave a better review but sorry. If you are not worried about that I’m sure it would be great. Maybe next year?I recently went to Pittsburgh zoo and almost everyone wore a mask and the zoo had a better plan for social distancing. For me a much better experience.
What a unique experience with soo much to do!
What a great place to visit, we had a great time and the animals look beautiful and healthy!!!
The Columbus zoo is always fun, however they do not enforce covid friendly policies. Nobody follows social distancing guidelines and the hallways, paths, and buildings are packed. I wouldnt come if you have a fear of covid-19
Had a great first visit. We thought it was going to be super busy, but it ended up being a great experience. We will come àgain for sure
There have been a lot of great updates! I had a great time, but there were a few crazy moments. When we first got there I stopped at the bathroom to find needles on the floor of two stalls. There wasnt a whole lot of people wearing mask.
Awesome place! They really put a lot into their Wild Lights display around Christmas. Take the kids every year. Definitely worth a visit!
Had an incident with a security guard this recent visit and was approached in an aggressive manor in which this individual verbally stated he did not care in being professional and even went on to state he would physically fight me right then and there. Billy a supervising security guard was quick and diligent in resolving the issue but as assumed there wasnt any repercussions this security guard recieved and Im sure is still employed there. Beware for a long haired security guard with tattoos on both arms as surely is a liability for columbus zoo and is only a matter of time before another issue occurs due to his illusion of authority in his post.
Great place to visit, loved seeing all the different animals and even a few surprises (such as the ww2 airplane in the lion exhibit) all in all it was amazing, even if we didnt get to see all of it and my little brother got stung
Wish that more of the animals were out an about. Especially the winter animals. The Polar Bears were asleep, the Reindeer area was very dark, and the Penguins area was closed. Besides that, everything was great.
Always a fun day at the zoo. Even during the pandemic. A few things were closed or restricted, but it was still a pleasant time. Staff was all helpful and friendly. The animals are always soothing to my soul! ♡
I enjoyed visiting the different areas and seeing what animals that were out. I can hardly wait for it to open back up fully, where all the habitats are open and you can see all the animals. It is truly an amazing place and opportunity to learn.
I always love this zoo. So many different animals, and they always seem so happy and well taken care of.
Being from the Cincy area, I only have that zoo to compare. That being said, I like the Columbus zoo a little bit better. Be prepared to walk tour a** off. It took us 3 1/2 hours to go through each area, and we skipped some stuff. Paid 9 bucks for a Great Lakes Oktoberfest. Thats the price of a six pack of the same. Oh well, i guess its for a good cause
This is a BIG Zoo with a variety of animals! Most of the animals were very active when we visited. Our reservations were at 10:30am. Theres a train ride and a boat ride that are fun, for an additional 2 dollars per person each. The carousel was closed. The kids also did the camel ride for 7 dollars each. Plus, they fed the giraffes. 3 pieces of lettuce for 3 dollars, so we all got to feed them. The zoo was very clean, including the restrooms. We took our lunch into the zoo and ate at an umbella table. We did buy a couple of snacks, but they are a little pricey. The souvenir cup with free refills for the day is a good deal. Just make sure to buy it online for the best price. Then if you return to the zoo later this year, bring your souvenir cup for 1 dollar refills. The zoo staff were all very friendly, especially Barry, who has a resemblance to Jack Hanna, hat and all! He has a great sense of humor! All in all....We had a Great Day at Columbus Zoo. Only one complaint, they dont honor the reciprocal zoo pass from our local zoo, but hey, the money will go towards the animals! So, were happy!
We thought the zoo was very well setup. Unfortunately some of the exhibits were closed. Overall we had a great time. We would come back. Hope you enjoy.
Bring your own hand sanitizer! There are dispensers throughout (for looks) but all are empty. Seems like in a time of Covid and as PACKED as the zoo was that it would be a higher priority helping people stay healthy. I’m not even that Covid cautious but keeping hands clean is pretty basic...
This is an incredible zoo. It is nice and flat if you are in a wheelchair, pushing a stroller, or pulling a wagon. They have great exhibits and an awesome variety of animals. The polar bears and cheetahs are a must. The brown bears (Buckeye & Brutus) are also really cool. You also dont want to miss the fox bats. It is a fun place for the entire family including great playgrounds for the kids to take breaks between exhibits.
Awesome job dealing with this pandemic! Kudos to you, Columbus Zoo.... managing foot traffic, ☆cute☆ signage directing traffic everywhere, no crowds, everyone mindful of social distance and masks... Signage didnt ruin the beauty and magic of the nature experience one bit. No crowds, walked right in with my member time ticket i acquired online yesterday evening. Had a fantastic time with my daughter and her friend! And the new Adventure Cove is amazing! #sealions #stingrays
Fun place to go. Animals looked well taken care of. I went in the winter time so the whole exhibit was half open but still a good time to go with friends and family. Would like to go back in the warm weather season.
Beautiful day to go to the Columbus Zoo! Lots of animals were out to have their pics taken.
Perfect day for the zoo. Plenty of animals out and about. Love the new sea lion exhibit.
Went with my family. Wonderful zoo and so much to experience. Cost is a little higher than any other zoo I have been too, however this zoo was easily 3x the size I have ever been apart of. My kids had so much fun with the zoo it all pass. We ate right at the zoo and was so glad to see so many restrooms since kids have to go all the time. Food was good, prices are what you expect at a specialty place. Very clean zoo. Animal exhibits were mostly full. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. So glad we were able to go. We are from out of State so if we are ever back in this area, we definitely want to go back!!!!! Thanks Columbus Zoo for giving my family and I a very positive experience!
Great day with family and kids, we enjoyed our Halloween day with treats around!
We have season passes its an awesome place to walk around. The animals seem well taken care of. Some of the enclosures seems too small for the animals. The tables were dirty today and bees were swarming around the picnic area. If youre concerned about being around a lot of people not wearing masks, do not go. Social distancing isnt followed by the visitors and a very small amount of people are wearing masks. The bathrooms seemed well kept and uncrowded. Overall, it was a nice visit and perfect temperature for being out exploring the zoo.
WildLights was terrific! And seeing the nocturnal animals out was a great experience.
Always a fun time with the kids even tho I believe inside attractions shouldnt be so pricy or should be included in the entering price! Every time Im there I hear upset children who cant do what they want because their parents cant afford it! At least be reasonably priced not ridiculously priced.
Wonderful!! Be sure to see the stingray touch pool. This zoo is very large. A minimum of 3 hours to get through it.
Despite reservations for entry still a big crowd at entrance. I guess they are doing the best the can during COVID. Otherwise, great zoo and animals seem well cared for!
This zoo is the best one Ive ever been to! Its huge and they have so many different animals. Its clean and the people there are very friendly.
I love this zoo we travel two hours to visit it 2 or 3 times per year. The layout is very efficient to travel on foot with very little need to back track. The polar bear and gorilla exhibit are top notch!
Still running a good show even with the covid-19 measures! Please visit!
Plenty of space for the various animals: more roaming space for tigers, cheetahs, lions than the vast majority of zoos. Lots of natural greenery and flowing water for the critters and visitors. The cheetahs are housed with dogs! Ask a docent why, quite a wonderful reason. As Buffalo zoo members, we received a 50% discount.Plan on spending a day. BTW, most people followed mask protocol. We will return the next time we are in Columbus.
Best Zoo in America for sure! If you are anywhere close consider getting a membership. It is very reasonably priced and quickly pays for itself. If you pre order your membership then you can get your cards in the mail and get free parking for your first trip which will save you $5. Some.of our favorite things are the manatees (we could stay all day!), elephants, polar bears and giraffes.
Nice clean Zoo, Lots to see and do️More things should be included with the price though️None of the rides or water park are included️Pretty expensive for a family of 4 to just walk around the zoo️ I believe it was $89 for myself and 3 GRANDBABIES ages11,8, and 5️ The food places were mostly closed far and in between, and very expensive️We ordered a Donatos 14 pepperoni pizza and it was $25, with no drinks or anything️My grandson got a Bacon Cheeseburger and fries for $11.95, without a drink, the souvenir cups is the best way to go theyre $10.95 for free drinks, day of purchase and a $1.00 for the rest of the season each fill up!! Parking is $10 also, quite a few Handicapped Parking Spots️Most of the playgrounds were roped off and inaccessible, due to Covid️YOU CAN ONLY BUY TICKETS ONLINE AND MUST RESERVE A DESIGNATED TIME SLOT️LINES TO GET IN ARE USUALLY LONG, BUT MOVE ALONGPRETTY GOOD ️IT WAS REALLY LONG FOR US, BUT WE GOT IN AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OF WAITING IN LINE️AMPLE STROLLERS TO RENT $10️YOU CAN PRINT YOUR TICKETS OR JUST SHOW ON YOUR PHONE️
Great opportunity to see beautiful animals. The weather was cool and the animals were lively. Saw a young polar bear swimming, the red panda family eating and walking around and many more wide awake animals. A delightful day!
My experience at this location was absolutely magical. I was blessed and able to take in the beauty of the Wild Lights. I took pictures and videos of this and it was just gorgeous. I will make sure to visit this spot every winter to take in the all that is the Wild Lights of Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. There were a lot of smiles on every face of every child. Its a place where you see love Blossom both young and old as elderly and young people Jeremy experiences a hold hands and see the beauty of this place. Going at night who made the difference.
This zoo was GREAT!! One of the best we have been to. They are also making times for ppl to come into the zoo weather you are a member or not. You can only buy your tickets one the website or when you get there. You cant buy them at Kroger the way we thought. It was a great place to spend the day. I would recommend you to bring stuff to eat and drink if possible. There food is expense and doesnt taste that great. Wish you ALL the best on your day at the zoo.
I saw the zoo lights with a group of friends and it was fun. A LOT more crowded than I thought in Corona times but still fun!
My son and I attended the Boo at the Zoo! Wow how much fun he always has at the zoo. The candy it one piece at a time and only about 15 stations. But overall the atmosphere and costumes were definitely fun for the kids!
This has always been my favorite zoo. This was our 1st time visiting for Boo at the Zoo. Its nothing scary just some family designed fun. My son got to wear his Halloween costume today and got to trick or treat at several stations throughout the park. Wasnt to crowded as they limited capacity and kept everyone seperated Even saw them cleaning train seats and hand rails between each ride and only using every other row of seats.
Love coming here. Animals are always easy to see. The food is always good. It is always a wonderful family trip. I loved the new dinosaur ride and so did my 7 year old son.
Love coming here with the grandkids. They have so much fun! Things are a bit restricted at this time but that is understood.A plus for our visit yesterday was several animals that are normally napping while we were there were up and active. The Koala Bear was a real hit sitting on a branch eating lunch. The kangaroos bouncing a bit had them mesmerized.
The Columbus Zoo is one of my favorite venues to attend. Typically the venue is clean and the staff very friendly. As a bonus they have free electric vehicle charging which I took full advantage of on my last trip.
The lights are great and its really special around this time of year! A must see for the holidays.
Had a wonderful time spending the day at the Columbus Zoo. It is very well organized, clean, and safe (especially considering the pandemic). We were able to see a majority of the animals, which look healthy and very well taken care of. Also very educational and informative. Theres so much to do, so much to see, and so much to learn about. Will be back soon!
Such a neat place! A lot of walking so wear your walking shoes because it’s spread out but they have mists spraying and water things to do! There was great food and dipping dots! And they ha d an awesome gift shop and things were very reasonably priced
I love going to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! Staff are friendly and the environment is full of family fun! The zoo includes animals from North America, Africa, Asia, Australia, and a reptile house with various reptiles such as snakes and turtles. Additionally, the aquarium has lots of fish and a manatee viewing. There are also several places to grab food and gifts along the way! It’s fun to come during every season, but I love going to see the zoo lights during Christmas time! Overall, a wonderful place to go and see the animals with included family fun!
Thanks Jack Hanna and staff for such an awesome zoo facility. #1 in Ohio by far. Manatees, polar bears, cheetahs............ it goes on and on. A must visit for anyone that likes the critters even if some of them would eat us. #zoolife
What a great zoo! We drove 3 hours to come to the zoo after our daughter became obsessed with the zoo show on Animal planet. This zoo did not let us down! We had to wear masks anytime we were indoors, which was fine. It was HOT and humid the day were there and it stormed twice. We were able to wait out in the storms inside an exhibit. Even with COVID, I felt very safe. Zoo was extremely clean and hand sanitizer everywhere. We were able to bring in coolers with snacks for the kids. We bought an $8 Souvenir cup, which allows free refills all day! Train ride was great for the kids and the carousel! Due to the rain/storms, some of the other rides were not open. Which was a bummer because we bought a wristband for them. Bathrooms are everywhere and nursing rooms are around also! We had a fantastic time and will be back next year to visit!!
This zoo is amazing. I got the feed the red pandas! Despite the heat and two down pours, there was a lot of animals out.
This place is just amazing! Always a great experience every single time I come. Never a bad experience either. Just always adding more updated enclosures for the animals all the time. Keeping them happy. Its amazing this place. You wont regret it!
