Customer service is tops, facilities are amazing, range equipment is up-to-date, and Adam is the BEST GM a business can have!!! Out of dozens of ranges in the Atlanta area, Governors Gun Club is the ONLY place that was willing to work with us and allow us to teach safety courses at their range. Trust me, if youre in the area (and even if youre not!!!) this is one range that you dont want to miss!!!!!

Great indoor gun range!!! Very clean and very professional.The gun range has a viewing area to watch as well. The gun range rental pricing isn’t too bad either!!They do have a membership plan that isn’t too expensive per month but each version has a pretty decent upfront price though. Haven’t joined because of that.The my also have guns to rent and test out.

I had my glock 17 sights changed. Ryan did an awesome job, I really appreciate the professionalism and courtesy attitude. They are always a great bunch of guys and will be bringing my guns here from now on.Thanks guys

Had a great experience at Governor’s Gun Club! Went in to get some things added to my husband and I firearms. Andy the Gun Smith was fast, efficient, and had wonderful customer service. Definitely recommend!!

Wow.First of all... The girl in the front working was so rude to not only me but to the family in front of me. She seemed to be rushing to either go home or to continue hanging around her male coworkers trying to get their attention by the looks and actions.There was people in the range I saw that looked like they needed help and nobody was there doing anything including a person who by the looks had no idea what he was doing..There was no inventory whatsoever.Do not recommend this place AT ALL!

Adam Toomey the manager does a great job at what he does. very friendly and informative! And great deals on ammo, range time, training, And really good food! The staff are very professional! Highly recommend going here!

(Holster draw & rapid fire) Mike was very informative and the instruction was anything but boring! Had lots of great stories too! Id take this again in a heartbeat. Ladies...for more real life situations and really putting things into perspective for you, this is something you want to do for yourself. I was SUPER nervous but he really puts your mind at ease. My husband and I enjoyed doing this together!

My wife just left there 5 minutes ago wanted to buy a gun a shoot with my oldest son she was there for about 25-30 minutes and not one employee said anything to her, everyone else around her was helped as soon as they walked throw the door! I know where not to recommend people to go to!

First and last time going there. The staff was unhelpful and kind of rude. We walked around for a few minutes before being offered help despite the 6 staff members working. No instruction on anything having to do with lanes. She didnt even bother to tell us the landyard with our lane number was a key card for the access door to the lanes...That being said the lanes were as nice as youd expect from any gun range.

I was not waited on in a timely manner. Felt like my business was not wanted so I will never return again

Justin in the archery department gave amazing service. As a new archer, I didn’t exactly know how to get started. He adjusted my bow to my dimensions, installed a peep sight, measured/cut my arrows, and helped me zero the sight. Additionally, he gave me some pointers in stance, aiming, anchoring, and release. I was planning on figuring all this out by myself. Instead Justin went the extra mile and sped my start up progress by a few weeks. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This is the best indoor shooting range in Georgia! Knowledgeable and friendly staff makes for a safe and awesome range session/experience. They also have a nice selection of guns and accessories as well as one of the best gunsmiths in west Georgia. Highly recommended!

If youre shopping for firearms selection is not very large the girl behind the counter is awesome and has great customer service skills the range is perfect for Ive visited many. I would have given 5 Stars lack of selection kept me from giving 5 . If youre going to the range definitely 5 Stars. Happy Shooting!

Stopped by for the first time today in need of some help getting a stubborn barrel nut off. Not only was the staff very prompt and helpful but the armorer hooked me up free of charge. Definitely earned a repeat customer here.

The only saving grace of this place is the actual range. Customer service absolutely blows. Ruined my experience after coming here for years.

Coury the range safety officer is awesome. I havent shot a gun in a very long time. He stayed with me and gave me pointers until he and I felt I was comfortable to shoot alone. This facility also has socks for people who didnt realize there is a no open toe policy on the range. That alone gets 5 stars. Saved me a trip to Walmart. I would definitely come here again.

This place is fantastic! The staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always very courteous and professional. I have purchased two 9mms from them as well as a considerable amount of rounds for the many times I have visited. The Powder Springs location is always clean and orderly with plenty of parking. If you are looking for a facility to practice, learn, or make a purchase, this is the place! I look forward to my next visit! Keep up the good work, guys.

This place is amazing. It is a destination. The club members and staff are so friendly. If you hear otherwise then you haven’t gotten to know the staff and members. A big thanks to the owners for creating two great clubs.

Visited the range today and didnt know what to expect. Some ranges are very insular and unwelcoming, but this one was amazing. I was greeted by two very friendly employees behind the desk and then led to a conference room to watch a quick safety video and sign a waiver. After that the lady behind the counter got me checked in and then the gentleman led me to my lane and showed me how to use their awesome digital controls for the targets. No guestimating I think this is 20 yards, just punch it in and go. The other patrons were fantastic as well. Theyll be getting a lot of my business

Went in with a Groupon which they refused for something not in the fine print and then tried to blame Groupon. Then the staff were rude mouthing off as we left.Ive visited This range several times in the past and found it average compared to other ranges. Due to the staff rudeness and unprofessionalism I will not be returning to that range and would not recommend this to anyone seeking a good range with friendly staff.

Took the whole family, wife and kids had never shot a gun before, Buford and the other range officer took each of my family and taught them basic safety and security with a firearm. My wife and kids came very nervous and left comfortable and wanting to come back to learn more. It was a state of the art facility and expert staff with fantastic ability to put the beginner at ease, I wish I could rate much higher but 5 is all it allows. Thank you to everyone who took their time to help my family. We absolutely will be back.. I highly recommend this range.

Today it was fun. I still shoot down to the left here. But I shoot better in Stoddards. Dont know why.

If your looking for a first class shooting experience than the Governors Gun Club has you covered. Ive been shooting at other ranges in the area for the past 25 years although they work and serve a purpose. The governors club is a country club for shooting sports. The staff there is fantastic, the range is excellent, and the food in the lounge is top notch. So if your like me and looking for a high end shooting experience, than you defiantly need to stop in and check this place out, Enjoy!

Awesome Customer Service Experience - The customer service at the Powder Springs location is out of this world. I would especially like to thank Phillip and Paul for their expertise and their swift handling of my transaction. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. This place is also spotlessly clean and welcoming.

I came into Governors Gun with my own firearm. However, was my first gun and I knew I wanted to upgrade, however had no idea what I wanted. Mentioning my dilemma to David, he took time to help me narrow down my choices listening to what I liked and did not like about the guns he showed me. Going by how they felt in my hand, I knew the two that I wanted to shoot. He even made sure I knew how to handle them as I was not familiar with them. Even though he does training, if it wasnt for him I would have never bought two new pistols today. I had to drive to Kennesaw to pick one up and went ahead and ordered the other while I was there. This was not a big deal since the Kennesaw location is closer to my job. However, I will be back to for my daughter to have private lessons with David. Good customer service is what makes the drive worth it!

I have no clue where all the staff complaints are coming from. This was the first range I visited when my wife and I moved up from Savannah. Its 15 miles out of my way but Ill always go here instead of other shops. Staff is great and doesnt push you at all. Kendall is the man, super good dude and knowledgeable. Im not a member nor do I even have the money to be a member right now but they still treat me like the highest paying customer. Going back in a couple weeks to order my HK USP. Range portion is great, well ventilated and sound proofed. Gun/accessories are priced competitively. Great place.

The range is state-of-the-art, with tactical (moving& spinning) targets - if you want- and an OK caliber range up to .308. The front-staff learn your name quickly, and are helpful if you want to learn about any guns. The archery guys are brilliant.Then theres the club for members and guests. Outstanding (and inexpensive) food, fantastic servers, friendly chefs who will tweak their recipes based on your wishes. The members youll meet are friendly, and willing to teach you what you may not know about shooting. High percentage of Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement Officers.

Absolutely one of the best gun stores Ive visited, and Ive owned three of them. Special shout out to Paul who stopped what he was doing yesterday and spent a lot of time with us. He gave us a tour and to our surprise treated us to lunch. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a class act gun range and store.

I love shooting here. Friendly people, reasonable prices, clean lanes, good selection of rentals and new firearms. What more could you ask for... How about a law enforcement and military discount! What a great place to shoot. The staff is very professional, focused and the range safety officer was close by to help with issues and to reinforce range rules. I took by twin daughters and they were impress with the range the help the range team and store provided.The range was a bit cool, so a long sleeve shirt might be in order. Well, Ill take one the next time I go.

I was satisfied with my experiences here initially but since I have referred numerous people to this establishment and they all have been racially descriminated against. Not sure if management changed or what but this establishment is RACIST!! If you are black please do not spend your money with them. I wish I hadn’t!

I have 2 opinions on this place.. Its a nice place and they have good material. The staff seemed sketchy of me. They werent helping or even looking in my direction at first.. Once I made someone come hello me and answer my questions.. Kendall answered a lot of them for me.

I give it 4/5 because thats like 9.5/10. I reserve the perfect 10 for the rare occasion. Overall a very enjoyable place to go shoot. They have a decent showroom with handguns and ammo selection. I really like that they give you a keycard for the range. The car lets you in so not just anyone can come/go. Its also really nice that the in between area going to the shooting lanes has two sinks an soap to wash your hands. Staff was nice, and helpful. Certainly recommended.

Loved it! It was my first time ever shooting a gun. The worker helped me through it all and was very patient and thorough. Highly recommend it!

I am a first time shooter, with zero experience in weapons. The young lady doing in the front desk is amazing, we saw the video, which is very helpful, and she helped us choose a gun to her liking. We were inside and the firing lanes are amazing. The lanes are well covered and well protected. The reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars because the safety firing instructor, a older white male, is ill-mannered. I placed my gun on my lane and ask for help, I have not set up a gun before, I have never loaded a gun, nor even shoot one. He told me that he no time for me, that he was giving a private lesson. So if he was giving a private lesson an focusing on one person, who was checking the other people shooting, making sure they dont harm themselves or someone else. This place is amazing from the outside but in the inside is rotten. For this reason I will look elsewhere to continue learning how to shoot a weapon.

Had the Rib eye. Awesome! One of my guys wanted it blue, the chief came out to talk to me to ensure the order was good. Staff was exceptional! Will go back.

Went there to shoot my glock and our AR15. Great service and a good place if you just want to pop in and shoot. The ammo is pretty expensive, as expected for a gun range, but the prices in general are reasonable. They also sell gun accessories but theyre probably cheaper at adventure outdoors or cabelas. The place is also kept very clean and tidy. Make sure to bring the right practice rounds (no steel tips) or youll have to buy expensive rounds from them. Also, if you dont have ear or eye protection you can rent it from them.

I attended a work function and this was a fantastic experience. Buford was our safety officer and he was patient and informative to new shooters in our group. He is why I enjoy shooting.I will most certainly come back.

I have just become a hobbyist in the sport and wanted to find a little place to shoot and meet people. I drove up to the building and loved the Lodge theme that is carried into the shop. I called ahead for a private tour and liked what I saw. I joined that night as a FMJ member and saved a bunch with a promotion that was going on and the Veteran discount offered. The restaurant and bar is a nice perk to being a member. Food is good and I recommend the Gyro or the Wings. The staff is friendly I enjoy going in there and having a good time every time.Love you guys!!

Honestly never had any problems with the gun club. Resently went and was racially profiled. Did get angry or loud. Was spending money. Long story short they called the police and was harassed later was let go. If you are black i recommend you do not support this establishment they will no longer get my support or business thanks Paul. For the worst customer service ever experienced.

The staff was very UPTIGHT and UNWELCOMING... They wouldnt let me hold any pistols or rifles they didnt really wanna teach me any information. Had a very small selection of pistols and rifles and NOT TO GOOD. I dont wanna say its because Im a young black man but it could of possibly played a role in my service. But if you are looking for better gun shopping experience try (MAINSTREET FIREARMS) they have great staff willing to educate anyone and a great variety of firearms I just bought a new AR and a beretta.MONEY WELL SPENT!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely love this place. Small but great atmosphere.

State of art range, Started dealing with them at Lake Side Guns, Bought all my guns there, They even would order and fine what i was looking for. I found as i got to know the staff and they got to know me and the type of fire arms i enjoyed purchasing when i was ready they would help, i have joined and became a member and try to get there a few times a month and now have them building me a custom build AR cant wait to shoot it.

AWESOME! Not just for the gun range but the indoor archery range is the best around! Everyone is so helpful. Just purchased my second bow here in four months. My wife is just getting started and loves going. She is determined to take a deer with her bow this year. I am very excited about the outdoor archery range that will be opened this year.

We go every weekend; the range is great the ROs are knowledgeable, polite and helpful. Join the club, the food from the chefs are top notch. the crowd is inviting. Pool? Poker? Cigars? Outside fire? Green egg cooking? just do it and use it.

Clean range and range masters are attentive but not invasive. I had an issue with a new AR and Scooter at the shop was very helpful and worked with me to fix the issue.

This staff was awful! I didnt even get acknowledged when I walked in... The girl at the gun counter was too busy flirting with her co-worker while the rest of the staff was heavily engaged in another conversation. I had one guy after walking around for about ten minutes tell me if I would like to look at something to let him know then he went back to his conversation. I stood at the other end of the counter by the benchmade knives for several minutes where no one AGAIN acknowledged my presence I finally decided to walk out.There is also only a small collection of guns, which is fine... I just view it more as a upscale gun range and accessory store.

Just became a member a month ago and so far so good. The RSOs have been very friendly and helpful to my 11 year son as it is his first time shooting. The place is very nice inside and well kept. I do recommend they take better care of the gun rentals they seamed to be way to dirty for use and jammed allot. The staff at the range side of the club are friendly but inconsistent on how you are treated when you come up to the counter, some of the ladies feel it is social hour and do not pay the best attention to the members when they come to the counter. BUT as a whole the staff is friendly, the place is clean and have a nice selection of Guns and Bows to choose from if your looking to buy.

The staff working the range desk NEEDS ALOT of work . One associate will tell you one thing and another will give you different information. Also, Francia was very rude. Thumbs down.

I have been to this range 4 times and would rate it highly if the service had not fallen since our first visit. On my fourth and likely last visit found the staff to be cool and the range officer to be an outright jerk. Nice place and convenient to where I live but will drive a bit further for friendlier staff.

Went in with my wife on 6/22 and we were both completely ignored, not a hello or can we assist you today; the store was not busy. It shows how the store values new customers.

Love the people, ROs have always been good to me and the FMJ lounge...well...I love em. Good folks and good times. Frank, the new chef, is great. Derek and Scooter are really helpful at the weapons counter too. Range is always on point as well.

Decent place to unload a few rounds if you dont have a big yard. Price was reasonable and they have a lot of cool guns for sale.

Very nice store, laid out well. Went there to shoot with my son and his wife, my son is a deputy sheriff with a local county. Well experienced with firearms, as I am. His wife not so much, when she was shooting a couple of her shots spread out to the edge of the target paper,, they did not go off the paper, but the RO came over in a very loud voice and chastised her for getting close to the edge, saying her shots could hit the ceiling? if she did that again he would charge her $10 for every shot that was close to the edge! He was extremely rude which was totally unnecessary, he could have handled that much differently. We heard him jump down another ladys throat for getting too close to the edge of her target also,, the way he handled himself was totally uncalled for! We will not be back to the Governors, I had heard they have a snooty attitude but this takes the cake! I will tell everyone I know to patronize some other gun range instead of this one.
