Fun location and classic bowling alley will take you back to your childhood years. Bartender wasnt the friendliest but we had a big group so they were probably overwhelmed. Lanes seemed to be in good shape and not warped. Food wasnt great, but Ive never had great food from a bowling alley anyways. They had a pretty nice sized arcade too!

Good atmosphere and lots of lanes to play on. They are clean and have fun themes to choose for your bowling lane. The bar area was nice but not great service at all. Theres an arcade and pool tables. Overall good bowling ally but nothing amazing.

Fun Senior adult league, but what is to happen with this past winter league? (Our prize fun, and trophies)? You could call team captains and give us this stuff at a socially safe distance, and the captains can take it from there.

Ive come here enough to know its the nicest local place to have a few shots, some beer and have a quick bowling session. Although Im not the best at it, i still get rooted on by friendly regulars, its a great experience

Take the 1970s, add in a few tech features like computer controls and flat screens, and youve got this place. Lanes didnt seem flat and the pin setter froze up a few times. But what the hell, the kids liked it. Has an arcade and I think theres food available. Seems like a place that time pretty much forgot. Or maybe just the carpet cleaner.

This is my fave place to bowl in San Diego country. I have bowled at many different locations over the years but Poway Fun Bowl has great lane selections at any time of the day and even on league nights you can still find parking and get a lane. The venue was always clean and welcoming. The staff has always been helpful and do their best to accommodate reasonable requests. It has been a couple of years since Ive been but I am currently looking to join a league and this is the first place I thought of to check out their availability.

Equipment breaks down often. Maintenance is the bare minimum. If not for the working staff probably wouldnt ever go back. Stephanie one of the best snack bar workers ever. Dont forget the pro shop, excellent if it is open.

First time there...staff non- friendly. Interior definitely not what I expected for Poway. Advertised $26.00 per hour, really cost $43.00(?). 45 minutes into our hour, machine went down and 20 minutes later still wasnt working...very disappointed...I will not be returning!

Cool place, the only thing I am kind of upset is that this place is gonna be replaced by MORE houses!!! Poway road is a nightmare and you are going to build more houses? If this is true, it is going to be so sad

Sundays are cheap and fun. The bartender seemed to be a little out of it the day we can, ingot 2 drinks and after taking a while get them with only me in the bar area, she forgot to hand them to me as she walked off and then when I said something, she said sorry and handed them without asking for money. I had to ask her if they were free or something and if thats why the service isnt great

Ice cold. Cold spell in the area and they do nothing to warm the building. Team building event and with about 50 customers there, they dont make it habitable. Im not kidding. I dont get cold often but this was a friggin ice box. Plus the place looks like its abandoned and about to be razed to the ground.

Terrible experience!! The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE! blamed us for having too many bowling balls in the rack but it’s because the other people brought more balls to their lanes and both our lanes and their lanes weren’t returning any balls!! Terrible service super rude!! If I could leave negative stars I would!!! The other staff were nice and kind!

Eddie at the pro shop was great! He made sure to assist me on getting some of my blowing balls resurfaced to like new condition this should prolong things a bit before I make the decision to but new. Thank you Eddie!

Great place for a social gathering.This bowling center is just that, a place for a fun social gathering not for active bowling competition.Employees move at the pace of hot lava behind the desk, and the pin reset buttons on lanes 22 through 30 are frequently broken. It’s time to get busy and get renovating. Those of us who take the sport of bowling seriously want to make sure our money is getting spent correctly.I’ve bowled at over 15 different alleys across the country, and I would like to know that the one in my own backyard it is up to par.

This place just a normal bowling alley and it worked absolutely fine. The people at the desk were lovely and helped us with everything we had and the bowling was excellent

I think it needs to be upgraded in my opinion. Everytime I bowled I was having to deal with the pins falling over on there own without touching them. I thought it wasnt really fair towards the other players I was playing with. Every time that we got tickets there wasnt anybody near the place to check them in and we left because my son wanted something and there wasnt anyone there. Over all it was pretty fun.

Great place for a Birthday party. We had 11 people and the food and drinks included with the party were a good amount for our group. I took one star off because the lane that the birthday kids were in kept popping out a Pin and they had to wait each time for a staff member to come remove it. This made them lose a lot of playing time...but they had fun goofing around since they are all friends. But it would have been nice if staff could have fixed the problem (instead of just throwing the problem pin back in the mix) or or moved the kids to a lane that worked better.

Cheap bowling. Clean alley. Snack bar and bar arent bad either. Bowl here for a league on fridays. 3 games of bowling and 3 pints of beer for $20. Cant beat it.

The staff left a lot to be desired. The girl ringing us up was beyond rude. When asking for bumpers for our 4 year old the guy in charge kept interrupting me asking what number was he. I finally realized he was asking which number bowler he was. I hadnt been bowling in years and wanted a fun experience with my kids and the staff didnt have the patience for those who didnt know the ways of the alley. The bowling itself was fun, the staff definitely seemed stressed and didnt want to be there. It was a Saturday night and actually wasnt as busy as I anticipated. The prices were reasonable.

A little bit Rusty but a cool place to hangout with friends. Washrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and invited us in before the place was even open. Fairly priced and not expensive.

Fun place to bowl with friends very affordable especially with large groups. Had no issues with anything and we got our moneys worth. No clue about food since we did not order any. Place was cool and comfortable no doubt will come back again.

Family fun and decent prices. One of the last places in San Diego that has an arcade with air hockey. Rick the manager made sure everyone had a great time and Jason in the back keeps the machines running smoothly.

Sadly this place needs a major overhaul...Bowling balls getting stuck and not returned right away,bumpers not working on both sides of the lane, and generally run down...I take a group here every week and this has been a long time issue. On the plus side? The staff is awesome! Especially Alex the manager. She handles everything so well...even when it gets crazy and always with a smile on her face...

My boyfriend and I came over the weekend, this is just down the street from our place but well look to bowl elsewhere until this place gets some maintenance. We had to keep hitting the reset button because it would just get stuck then it messed up our turns therefore scores. They moved us to a new lane but just about every time it set new pins one or two were missing or wed see them fall over. We still had a great time, a pitcher of Modelo was $16. Hopefully they can upgrade, well be back then.

Havent bowled in forever but man did we have a blast. The staff is great and the bar is fun too.

Family gathered there to celebrate my granddaughters birthday. I was not just disappointed but really disgusted. Especially with the snack bar. Would it kill them to offer at least a few healthy, unfried snacks? The prices were really high for the quality of food. We ordered a plate of fries and they were not just not hot, they were cold! The cook (?) couldnt move any slower! I figured she was new but she shared that she had been there one year. Now, the lanes. They kept breaking and the workers at the desk were overwhelmed. They kept offering us free games for the next time we visited. AS IF!!! Never again.

Pin setters didnt work properly on multiple lanes, it would give a full set when you had pins left for your second go or give you a partial set on a new frame. Ball return often had issues. Score board would register pins when none were hit. Lanes were waxed poorly, spots with no wax or spots with lot. Have been to many different bowling alleys, half were run by highschool/college potheads and they did a substantially better job than these people.

The staff here is great & it is a GREAT place to go for ANY occasion, whether with friends or for for some family fun! Some days are definitely more crowded than others & depending on when you go also effects the price since they do a great job of doing promotions, so u may want to look into what kind of deals they have going on IF youre interested in finding the BEST times to beat the crowds & pricing on current offers to go! :-) you are SURE to have a GREAT TIME whenever u do decide to go though....!!

My dad who is a retired professional bowler and my husband who is active duty military fell here on lane 18 long before the fowl line and got told by the owner “you were over the fowl line I have cameras” before he even went and looked we have people around us who both saw them fall and before the fowl line the owner didn’t care at all just wanted to point fingers we were in shoes rented there, mind you my dad has an artificial hip and fell on it, can barley walk now and is limping and owner doesn’t care. Stay FAR away

Ive come to this bowling alley ever since I was a kid, it always been great fun to just hang out with friends and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg to play. I havent actuality been able to bowl in a while, but even just hanging out with everyone while they are bowling is a blast.

Terrible bowling alley...Customer service is at a low here, lanes were freezing, pins kept falling over every turn, it wouldnt allow us to bowl our spare turn, we asked for a reset on our last game after the 3rd bowl since it kept messing up then they shut our game off by the 7th turn on that same game..like? Okay...... restrooms are dirty as well.. overall not the greatest place to bowl at...smh.

I grew up at this bowling alley as did many of the locals in Poway I highly recommend it and the bar gym is is quite the hoot. Ive heard rumors that this location is going to be torn down soon so if you are a local make sure to visit it before its gone.

We really had fun. The shoes look new, very clean, we had to hunt a bit for lighter balls but same at others. Great place to meet friends and laugh a lot.

The equipment is a little glitchy, the snack bar is not always open, but other than that its Ok.

Excellent pool tables, great atmosphere in the bar, But holy crud is it expensive to play pool..$10 an hour??? Wow, thats twice what it is in any of the nearby bars. Drinks are good but a bit pricey, again. Lady bartender could be a bit nicer, sheeesh. The bowling is perfect. Clean, and fun.

Just a regular bowl, nothing special. That could be a problem to find a right size of bowl-shoes. Would say that the place is pretty good equipped but that was my first bowl visit ever, so to be fair I had nothing to compare with. But from the first look the place requires some renovation.

Out of date bowling center. The attendants behind the counter moved at a slow pace; you get what you pay for. The lane we rented had multiple issues. Balls wouldnt return, the pins reset on their own. Pretty much we tried to hurry up and bowl and get out of there.

We had our Christmas holiday party here. It was fun. With good service, great food, and tasty drinks. It was an affordable bowling experience, definitely will go again.

Ive been doing a bowling league there for a few years and we all have so much fun. Ive gotten a chance to know all the cool people who work there as well. Im a customer for life or for as long as the bowling alley is Open.

Not really a good bowling alley. The bowling balls are really bad in sizes and very small or very large finger holes. My lane number was 12 and constantly broke down and took ages to reload for the next person to bowl. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

It was exactly what we were looking for, inexpensive bowling. They have everything you need, a bar, bowling balls, shoes, and bowling lanes. No $10 cocktails here or $7 beers. Just a hometown bowling alley that hasnt changed since the 80s. NOT the $10 per game bowling you find elsewhere. We went on Saturday night which was Cosmic Bowling and was only $15 per person for 3 hours of bowling and shoes. Cant beat it!

I suppose this would be a great place to bring your kids or to have a beer or two with your friends, but if you are serious about bowling, I dont particularly recommend. The lanes, according system, and pin setters are ancient and unreliable. But if you live in the area, you dont really have any other choice, so +1 star for location.

Love the location, the prices, but the lanes often have technical issues and I regularly find myself changing lanes in the middle of games. Hope theyre able to fix the issues and continue to be around for many more years!

Blast from the past. A couple of issues with the computer, but they were fixed quickly. One issue was staff member walked away from the counter and left it unattended for over 10 minutes. The arcade is pretty good too if you have someone not into bowling in the group.

I had so much fun. I drove from carlsbad, well when I fit my shoes I had give one of mine, so I gave him my flip flop which was a little broken. They returned.it to me fixed. Omheavens,who does that, that was so sweet, its been a couple weeks and my flip flop still fixed. Thank you and also had so much fun.

The one staff member was so rude! The place was really run down and I think I might get food poisoning from the nachos. My daughter had fun and they have 2 free games for kids during the summer. But we will go somewhere else next time.

I have been bowling here since I was a wee lad, and I dont think anything about it has changed except for the prices. I also put a quarter in a guaranteed win candy claw machine, and as it was releasing my 4 year old purple tootsie roll into the dispenser the claw itself flung the candy back into the pile and I received nothing.

House balls are plentiful and night bowling is great. Some lanes need maintenance.

I’ve only ever bowled a few times but I’ve been to karaoke over 40times!! Kareoke is wicked fun and it wouldn’t be the same without Katie Holiday! Katie makes Friday and Saturday nights amazing! Jimmyz is really quite a blast because of the tight knit friendships. Woohoo!!!!! Let’s keep singing!!
