My daughter is in the rose buds training here and the people running this organization are so nice and incredibly talented. They work so well with all the girls and its a very inclusive community. The girls are empowered and develop alot of confidence. They learn at their own pace and are not pressured to advance faster than they are comfortable. Safety is a top priority always. I am so glad I found this for my daughter. Would very highly recommend.

Fantastic time! Roller derby is much more involved than I expected. Very impressed by the athleticism and enthusiasm of the whole event. Will definitely be going back!

The experience was fun. We arrived early, and got front row seats. Watched the teams warm up and listened to the fans explain the game and the history of the teams before it started. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Love the Rose City Rollers! They crushed Cherry City, it was a great game all around! We will be back for sure!

If youve watched roller derby in movies or on TV, youve been lied to. It was fun, but not.the pushing, players flying through the air mayhem weve been led to believe it is. Skaters fell, but nothing serious. For first timers, the first period was about getting to understand the game so it was kind of boring. The second period picked up, but just not realizing how tame it was left us feeling like we missed something. Its nice at the end they invite the crowd to stand on the track and high five the team as they take a lap. Fun, but dont expect what youve been led to believe.

So much fun! Great to see womens roller derby thrive. Awesome community here. They are doing a lot more than just playing awesome entertaining derby here. Cant wait to see their next home.

Last bout of the season. Went to support a friend. Her team won. Nachos were okay. My opinion is if they lowered the price of the nachos a bit they would sell more and still make a killer profit and make everyone happier. Great fun, though.

My husband and I were visiting Portland recently and thought it would be fun to catch our first bout. Make sure to buy your tickets in advance, as they sold out at the door very quickly. We each picked a team to cheer for and had a blast cheering them on. It was nice to be able to have a few drinks too, and though I didnt get to try the food it looked great. The only downside was that the bleachers were quite uncomfortable, but hey, its not a big deal. Were going to see a local teams bout next week, youve got us hooked!

Wouldnt let us bring a water bottle in, even if we emptied it out; they said we could leave it outside. No thanks, Hydro Flasks are about $50. When we were suggested to put in our car, we informed then we walked because we live nearby. Upon hearing this we were asked; well why did you do that? Didnt know I needed a reason to walk places on a nice night...

Absolutely, the best around. The crowds energy, the fervor of the track, the event production, all of it is stellar! If youve never been, the announcers give a quick primer before each bout, and everyones theyre to have a great time - not to mention the after parties at the Night Light are pretty fantastic in their own right!

Took my kids to this even and we had so much fun. Sparkle explained the rules of roller derby to us before the match started. This is a true sport with strategy and athleticism required.There are bathrooms on site and some limited food and drink options (cash only). Seating is on metal bleachers and can be tough to get a large group together in the general admission area. The only reason Im not giving this 5 stars is the seating. Options are limited and ear plugs are recommended in the event you end up sitting too near the speakers. Otherwise this is a fun and generally family friendly event.

The Rose City Rollers are totally the best!!!!The girls play there hearts out and they play so smart. I love them all.

Went to an event 2 yrs ago. The gal singing the national anthem took a knee WHILE SINGING. It was so ridiculous and insulting, we left the event and went home..Absolutely petty and rude of her. If you dont agree with what the anthem says, dont take the privilege to sing those words from someone who GETS IT. I wont be back.

Awesome fun watching great women playing roller derby. So fun, everyone is so friendly. The sport is so fast and entertaining. The women afterwards on the teams are so friendly and supportive of each other. Clean great sport.

My 10 year old daughter had a great time watching the Rosebuds. Hope the Rollers find a new venue for 2019 because I bet the adult teams are even more fun to watch compete.

Full disclosure, Im an announcer for Rose City Rollers. Even before I became an announcer, Ive really enjoyed watching RCR. Its a lot of fun, its inexpensive, its family-friendly. RCR is a former two-time world champion, so this is high-level roller derby with some of the best skaters in the world. I highly recommend it!

My daughter is in their Juniors Program learning roller derby. She really likes it and the coach is very good. Nice community feel. Very inclusive. Its fun to watch the adult bouts.

I love the energy of a Rollers bout. Great place to take the kids, and if you look just right, you might see me running the sound board up in the loft!
