This is a fantastic spot to checkout live theater in SE PDX! There is an old-fashioned ballroom on the top floor that was once-upon-a-time a salsa dancing club! The space is now available for private function rentals & still is a fantastic space!
An amazing experience in this small theater was surprising. Extraordinary performance...
The play was good, but the facility was cold & the seating uncomfortable. Probably wont go there again no matter how good the acting performance is.
This is a great theater! I was with a company that performed there for three weekends. We really enjoyed the space. It was a really great stage with great sounds and lights. It seats just shy of 200 and the seats come right down to the stage making for intimate environment with lots of energy. We also used the ballroom upstairs which is a great space for events! We are definitely headed back there in the future. Highly recommend.
One of the lesser known Theater locations, but a wide range of productions that are better than most. Have seen TBA work here over the years as well as work by other companies. The newish seats were a great improvement over what they had several years ago. Parking can be a challenge as the only dirt lot next to them is now Valet Parking for Jupiter Hotel, so finding a place on the streets can be tough.
I love using the theater for my theater group.Parking is hard though.
A great production of 1984. Try to get a seat near the middle in order to see the whole stage.
Fun shows- family friendly options!
A beautiful theater in the middle of downtown Portland. Theater seats under 200, neighborhood street parking only. No main curtain, but the stage and wings are great. They will also paint the stage whatever color you want for your production which I havent seen at any other theater. We used the basement as our greenroom. Theres a ballroom upstairs with a second, smaller stage where they sometimes hold Salsa classes. The lobby is pretty skinny and there is only one set of bathrooms for audience and cast members, but overall its a wonderful space.
Well maintained theatre. Perfect for a good performance.
Great place to see take in a show
Wonderful fun and creative family friendly theater atmosphere. Enjoyed the skilled performers and top rate costumes as well as effects. A magical experience of theater for the young ones. We saw Zoozoo.
Their 1974 staging was spectacular.
Saw a fun show with great cast of clowns and dancers. Would definitely see another show.
The theartre is very charming and small so the experience was very personal. I cant think of one negative thing to say about it. All the people involved were so delightful.
The BEST place to see local theatre...hands down!
Great family experience!
First and foremost quality performances in an intimate settings. A theater lovers theater.
They do an excellent job. Top notch performances found here. The mini Broadway of Stumptown.
Portlands fav experimental theater troupe produces original plays, holiday shows for the kids, and European avant garde on a moving stage. Take a friend who needs a shock.
Great small intimate venue for performances. Saw Whiskey Dixie and it was amazing
Great show. Nice old theater. Worth the experience
Go and enjoy the shows.
Great small theater with creative, fun, and interactive shows for kids.
Always enjoy the shows I see at this theater!
Always has great shows. Very small intimate venue.
I highly recommend going to the plays at Imago. Just went to Fly Away, Frogs, La Belle. All worth every penny and every minute of my time.
Historic theater that gives you the image of stepping back in time.
Great theater troop! We love the Frogz show. The show seems different and fun every year.
Great space, comfortable seats and air conditioning. Bathrooms are clean and well lit.
Exceptional performance. A must see!
Love their Zoo Zoo show
This venue has a nice local feel. A drawback to a large event is that it only has two restrooms. The line for this can get very long.
Good theater.
Great theater.
Started our new year seeing highly rated Frogz! SORRY!!! THIS was the worst, I repeat, WORST children’s theatre ever! Beginning with the highly sketchy neighborhood, then the insipid boring opening scene where one frog summarizes the boredom to come for the rest of the evening by being disciplined by two motionless frogs and finally on the the worst racist scene ever where an Asian baby is tormented by child abusing yarn balls kicking him with African American sneakers. We ran from the theatre with our bored 4 year old while other children in the audience called out for the other lifeless performers to kill each other. In summary a total waste of money only proving there is a sucker born every minute!
Theater was decent, seats were a little tight for a bigger guy like myself but overall quite well
The show was good but the water and coffee were way too expansive!
Old school great space for rehursel On The 3rd floor no elevator tho
Frogz was fantastic and all the kids in the audience thought so too.
Cozy little theater with some super talented people!
Very nice and clean, excellent mood setting.
We saw a great Third Rail show here.
