This bar has a great atmosphere with outstanding customer service. I have been coming here for years and the experience gets better and better each time.

Great bar, great dance floor, awesome servers, great vibe tucked right in the middle of downtown Chinatown Portland. They block the street off this strip of bars and clubs for people to walk in the streets like a promenade. Food served inside along with many food trucks within walking distance. The famous Voodoo donuts less than a 5 minute walk away.

Okay if you want a great place to let loose look no further... The ladies are cute and nice and the bouncers are sweet as pie! I believe my favorite was Nicole she hung out up stairs during leap day. She made my birthday nights amazing! Definitely go see her and pay your respect cuz she deserves it!

Nothing really going on on Wednesday nights. Great food and drink. Friendly bartender. Awesome little bar games like giant Jenga, bean bag toss and video lottery.

Nothing wrong with this place at all. The atmosphere is nice too. I just have a hard time with the music going from emo rock to rap back to country music on Fridays.

This is my favorite bar in Portland. One time I had a little moment with another dude there and rather than kicking me out of the security guy listened and let us both stay. He totally had the right to kick us out. Great people work there both behind the bar and doing security. Also I love the dance they do, even though its the same dance every night the girls really put their all into it.

After a long flight into the city, we decided to stop by for a bite and drink before heading to our hotel for the night since they were one of the only places open. However we werent even greeted by our bartender until she came up to us and said if youre gonna sleep in my bar you can leave. First of all, we werent sleeping. My friend simply was resting his head while waiting to order since we just got off of a plane for our week trip in Portland. Needless to say we left right after she said that due to how rude of a first encounter that was. Thanks for getting our trip off to a great start! Wont be back.

I rarely make my way downtown, but this spot has the best service and bar games that Ive seen in the past 4 years. This is my new #1 spot when I cruise through downtown. Keep it up!

Great time here. Beautiful bartenders ontop of bar. Dixie hosted a speed dating event that was fun. Great people, great location All round great tavern.

Bartenders were nice and attentive. Went on karaoke night; it was really welcoming and had a nice atmosphere.

Super loud, incredibly hot inside and it seems like I ventured in on some sort of middle-aged-divorcee themed night. There was a mix of super young drunk college aged kids and 40/50 somethings wine drunk and dancing their divorce heartache away. ADA accessible, which was cool. And once and hour(or something) the hot bartenders get up on the bar and drop cherries by the stem into mens mouths, I assume to be sexy. It isnt.

Obviously playing to a crowd that liked line dancing, thinking that is country dancing. Dancing with a partner to the two-step, waltz and polka; or even a good swing step, is country dancing. But this is not a place where culturally they know or expect that.Very friendly staff.

Good music, good people, well respected all around. I give it a 4 instead of a 5 for stars because one bar war $14 for two drinks and the other bar on the main floor(a bar is located upstairs) was $20 for the exact same drinks

Good crowd, nice music, service was a little slow. However, they played the Cupid shuffle, and it brought them back up. All in all good memes and great time. 8 outta 10 would go again.

Definitely not my scene. Its fun for what it is. At least during Fleet Week its so loud you cant hear anything. Good for dancing, but you probably want to like country/rap. They do a sort of Coyote Ugly thing where the bartenders get on the bar and dance; in reality, this feels weird.

So much fun. This is like having a coyote ugly right in Portland. Just a little more tame. The bartenders are friendly and give good service and this place doesnt get so packed you cant move. Which is great.

The most redeeming factor of this bar was the bartender. The bar seems great for those that are into country western music and line-dancing. The nachos were good but I found it strange that they didnt have any beer on tap.

Pretty good... I had the chicken Caesar salad and my partner the house made mac and cheese. They were both larger than expected, so leftovers for lunch... hers was good; mine was surprisingly well. The chicken was tasty and had a good peppery roasted flavor, although a little dry. The salad proper was... well, it’s a Caesar, but the Romaine was crisp and fresh. The croutons were small and not exciting, but the cheese and dressing made up for that. So, better than I expected.

I been there for a very first time 3 years ago and it was so much fun, but not any more... came again week ago and everything changed- vip area with a pole gone, cocktails were awful and music all over place - DJ doesn’t have concept or style...

This place is such a fun vibe, great customer service, a good variety in their music mix and decent size dance floor.

I love how this place has rules to keep the patrons from being overly drunk or ridiculous. I didnt like how small the bathrooms were, but thats easily overlooked. Our bartender was super awesome, I believe her name was Crystal? Long blonde hair... Anyway, even when it was completely slammed she still managed to be in top of drinks for my entire ground the whole time, even remembering our names and what we had been drinking.

We were here on a Saturday night but way before they got busy. The service and food were really good though.

Is such a pleasant place to sing eat and enjoy my daughter singing she was excellent however the guy with beard very nice say happy words while enjoy his singing a couple ran out the back with the wallet and he was blame say your sorry everyone said him.

Dixie’s is by far the best bar in the Portland metro area. Their staff are friendly, their bar is clean, awesome drinks, and they always do right for the customer. I highly recommend this bar for anyone in, or visiting Portland.

The beer was cold, music loud, and girls hot. They serve all drinks from a can instead of a tap, but that didnt cause them to have problems with slow service or running out. We were part of a private party upstairs, so we had a private server, game table, and bathroom. Plus, the ability to people watch from above. Good time was had there.

Fun!! The DJ is cool too, for a couple bucks hell shout out etc. They do some fun stuff here like the bartenders dancing on the bar and stuff. I really like when they open the upstairs area but overall the space is good and bathrooms are always clean. good food too if you come earlier in the evening.

I had a blast at this downtown restaurant/bar/nightclub. Dont let the name tavern fool you, this place is a full-blown party. Kinda has a Coyote Ugly feel to it.My wife and I met friends for a couple of drinks. We had the entire upper loft and bar to ourselves, while a hundred+ others danced and mingled on the floor below.The crowd was attractive and fun, there are three bars (one that the ladies can dance on at times), and the menu has delicious offerings, including most bar food classics.Theres good, stiff drinks served by vibrant, sexy bartenders and cool security staff that maintain a nice vibe. Its a good time!

I love it here! Mixed crowd, not just a bunch of newly obnoxious 21 year olds. The bartenders are AWESOME but Crystal is the best! Great food. Mixed music. I love coming to eat lunch and get in on the karaoke some times!

Waited in line for 45 minutes, only to have the bouncer break my REAL license in half. No questions asked, no warning. Im 24. I tried to talk with the manager, but he seemed too busy for me at the time. I was in Portland on rotation for medical school for 3 months, and had to pay for a new license to be shipped across the country. absolutely ridiculous.

As normal had a great time, fun staff, good music, great crowd.

A great bar for a Friday night, just make sure to show up around 11pm or it can be pretty dead.The bartender are all gorgeous ladies.

They support our country and our service members, you can get in with your military ID and no cover, thats amazing ... I will say, they removed one of my friends for being too drunk when she really wasnt that intoxicated ... it was unfortunate because everyone in our party had to leave ... drink prices are reasonable, didnt try the food ... very frustrating that one of our friends was removed

Love this place, a hole in the wall bar feel right in downtown Portland. Fun dancing and also a bar upstairs on the weekends when it gets packed.

They arent a country bar. Its a theme. Honytonks have nothing on them. Its fun, but swing dance isnt in their vocabulary and they play whatever makes them money. Kind of lame.

Best bar downtown with the best staff hands down. The lead bartender SAM is amazing & so are all the other lovely ladies that work there. Security is dope as hell & also extremely helpful.

I dont like the atmosphere and the dont like the music.

Very popular with the younger crowds on weekends and night club enthusiasts. I like their menu, and patronize often for takeout that is average in affordability, but high above average in quality. I especially like the pork sliders and tater tots, not too fatty for comfort food. Also, if you eat there during happy hour, the prices are much more affordable.

Good times. However we came to this bar cause we thought they would be playing country music. They only play country music on Thursday nights. But we had a really good time anyways.

Really fun atmosphere.

The place was perfectly packed. You could still move around, get drinks and dance. All the staff were great, the music was good; they mixed it up with hip hop/dance hits with a twist of country. And the lighting was perfect!! Not to dark so you could actually see everyone. They have these awesome cups that glow florescent blue which have everything a fun party vibe. And they have an outdoor patio where you can smoke. Best place Ive been to in Portland so far...

I used to work with the company that formally owned this bar. And going back in after a few years I will say the experience is still A1. All smiles from all staff who make sure everyone stays in line. Never an incident. Very diverse clientele.

Very cool 2 floor club with enough seats upstairs or outside to catch a breather. Plays top 20-30s music on Saturdays. Had a great time, expect a younger crowd.
