Located inside the police station, and volunteer run. I arrived at 10. The volunteer had not shown up yet. When she did, ten minutes late, she apologized profusely and was very kind. I am obsessed with mugshots, and they had a book of them in a display case. I only wish I could see the entire thing. Alas. I had to settle for taking pictures through the case. A little superficial in content, but interesting for an hour or so.

Tiny. Very very small. But pretty cool, probably a nice place to bring your kids if they arent too rambunctious; theres a fake jail cell and other kid friendly showcases.

This is a special place to visit for both history buffs and families. They have done an outstanding job of presenting the history of both Portland and policing from the early years until today. The admission is free.

Awesome little place to stop by and see the history of the PPD.

Merchants are rude and condescending. They ignore the pleas of community members who found their attire divisive and at odds with the police commissioners and chiefs state goals of improving relations with people of color and other vulnerable groups. The museum itself is whitewash and erases PPBs very troubled past.
