Not sure why someone gave this a 5-star rating because, as of September 9, its under construction and not yet open. But since the Portland Art Museum isnt open today, and the 5-star rating, I decided to come visit.I asked at an information desk in a building across the way and they said its scheduled to open to the public on September 26.UPDATE: Revisited January 2020. Smallish two-level contemporary exhibition, but I was surprised to see that they featured a work each by Koons, Hockney, Walker, even a Basquiat. Well worth the visit, and its free (no gatekeeper desk soliciting donations either, just walk right in and enjoy). The Saturday Farmers Market is held outside the rear entrance to the building that houses the museum, so enjoy a nice nosh outside before and/or after your visit.
I saw Jordan here. Good authentic experience.
What a wonderful space!
