City owned course with some outstanding views and challenging holes. Play Red, Gold, White, Blue or Black. Prices are very reasonable.Kids summer camps and weekend challenges are worth the money. Kids use the rangefor free if they participate. And get discounted golf throughout the week.Super friendly staff. Nice club house and good restaurant & bar.

Horrible customer service. Most businesses want people to come, this group could care less. With everything that has been going on, golf courses have stayed open and gained many new customers. The key to growing a business is to get new customers to come, but you have to get them to COME BACK! Management blew me off and basically laughed at my concerns. I hope it was an off day, but if it wasn’t.. no growth coming. Good luck, I won’t be back!

Course in great condition except for sand on the greens. Any day playing golf is better than staying home or working

Well this was my first opportunity to play this track. First impression was Wow. The first five greens had these little tuffs of grass (WEEDS) growing all over the green surface. I’d compare my experience to playing PLINKO on the PRICE IS RIGHT game show. This golf course layout is definitely in need of grounds keeping.Save your money, it’s not worth what you pay for greens fees. Stevie Wonders brother must be the head grounds keeper. This track will never make the list of top one hundred in the state of Florida.

Worst service at the pro shop I’ve ever encountered. My fiancé and I were discriminated against right out of the gate because it was our first time at that particular course. I shrugged it off thinking the manager was just a miserable person, only to be watched, followed, and harassed soon after. 3 strokes into the first hole and almost at the green, we were approached by the manager who came to “give us our options” which were refund and putting green or refund and leave. The worst part is that there was no one even waiting behind us to tee off. We were made to believe that Cypress Head was a “professionals-only” course and he didn’t feel that we belonged there. Discrimination at its finest folks.

I have to say, Cypress Head is looking better than I have ever seen it! A very nice golf course.

I am a weekend golfer and the course was gentle enough but challenging enough to make it worthwhile.Beautiful landscaping and maintenance.I was able to share my round with a young man named Cade that could just make Pros jealous and had qualities that everyone would love to have in their son, hats off to his parents was really enjoyable.Everyone on the staff out there was very friendly and accommodating.I will be back again next time Im in Florida

Nice course with some challenging holes. Not really difficult, but plenty of water hazards and some sinister sand traps. Well mowed fairways and good greens. Excellent service and 19th hole. Fun to play.

1st time playing at Cypress Head, I thought it was in pretty nice shape, and the course has its challenging holes.

Greens are still very sparse, and thin. Fairway lots of crabgrass, as well on the tees. Overall not where it should be. But, regardless, I still enjoyed it.

The fairways and greens were real dry and full of weeds. I heard that that day they had treated the course, our group of 6 all had sinus problems for a few days. I feel we should of been notified ahead of time.

I cant speak for the golf course but the banquet I attended at Flag Sticks Bar & Grill at Cypress Head Golf Course was GREAT! The choice of entrees was fish, chicken or beef tips. For beef tips I pictured the usual tough stew beef chunks in thick beef gravy. NOPE! While I didnt order it because of my preconceived notion, it looked great. Beautiful slices of beef that I was told were very tender and flavorful. No one at our table had the fish so I cant speak to that. What I had the pleasure of dining on was their Chicken Française. In a word, wonderful! The chicken cutlets were moist and perfectly cooked. The flavors were well balanced so no one flavor overpowered the others, as should be the case for restaurant quality dishes. In others Ive had, the kitchen staff sometimes gets a little heavy-handed with the lemon. The chicken was accompanied by nice roasted red potatoes and a vegetable medley that, at least in my case, was mostly squash & carrots. I could be wrong on that as I did not taste it. My mothers probably looking down on me, shaking her head and saying I always had to fight with him to eat vegetables! Anyway, thank you to the management and staff of Flagsticks for a great dinner Christmas Banquet!

I was there July 12th for the Elvis show with some friends show was great when left my friend slipped and fell in the parking lot there isnt much lightning out there when you walk to your cars and the curb should be painted bright yellow, so people can see it I went in to say someone fell a waitress came out didnt seem concerned at all she back my friend was still laying on the ground didnt offer any assistance to her some older gentlemen helped her up after she laid it the rain for a good 8 minutes her bone was sticking out of her wrist hand blood all over her hand didnt even get her a towel to wrap her hand in offer any ice how ignorant can you be went to ER shes having surgery tomorrow at, Halifax hospital shes having a metal plate and pins in her wrist thank you for caring I told her you should be getting SUED if it was me you would be, not nice and I know the name of the waitress, you should of gotten her name and be checking on this woman No you dont care!!

I love this course and its friendly staff. Its not but still a very challenging course that is demanding off the tee so choose your club carefully. Its in great shape year round and you wont find better rates anywhere for a course of this caliber.

I was in Daytona Beach for a vacation and searched the web and decided to check out Cypress Head. It was one of the most well kept municipal courses I have ever played. Very accommodating and golfer friendly from all tees. The shop staff, bag staff and everyone on site were amazing. I cant say enough......I had a wonderful time.

The Golf Club at Cypress Head, rated 3-1/2 stars: Owned by the City of Port Orange this quiet, good-looking course was excellently designed by Arthur Hills - the layout weaves its way through a mix of residential and natural environments - housing is generally set well back allowing moss-laden oaks, palmettos, pines and occasional palms to give the course a predominantly natural feel.Although not Arthur Hills most dramatic design, Cypress Head will always provide a pleasant outing when golfing in the Daytona Beach area.

The course is a nice layout, the price is too high for the course conditions. Greens were terrible, slow and a lot of bare spots, very bumpy. The fairways have a lot of bare spots. If I knew the course was in such bad shape would have never wasted my money. If you are a 20 handicap or higher the course is ok most of the higher handicap golfers are not good putters anyway. but if you are a single digit handicap not worth the aggravation.

Great staff, good course, challenging but good for middling players. Has flock of wild turkeys wandering around, neat!

Good holiday brunch! !!!!UPDATE DECEMBER 2017!!!!A few months ago, the owners of the suddenly closed this restaurant. Said they couldnt make a profit there. There is more info available on the Daytona News-Journal site. Its too bad because they did awesome Easter and Mothers Day buffets.

Very beautiful Golf Course tons of fun for all ages of the family will definitely go again the greens are very nice very big place to go definitely liked it I noticed that you keep up on her maintenance very friendly people I need to buy my own golf cart though it is a lot of walking if you plan on going but it is also a lot of fun if you love golf I will be bringing my kids next weekend with me when I go the price is very fair and the people are very very very very very very very very friendly

Course closed May 2015 to Nov 2015. I am going to miss my annual summer round at Cypress Head.I have played many rounds at Cypress Head. Friendly members; nice peaceful course and always if pretty good shape.
