Fascinating tour - floating lighthouse. The guide was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions. The displays were great. You got a real feel of how the crew lived and worked. The memorial to the lost crewmembers was moving.

A must see! The guides were fantastic! The stories behind everything were very interesting (and thats coming from someone who never really had an interest in history or boats). My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves! Take the kids too (the tour guides love kids )

Extremely well preserved ship, one of very few light-ships open for tours. Fantastic guided tour given by William. I especially loved that we are able to climb into the engine room.

The Huron Lightship Museum is very cool and you will learn alot of new things.

This is a beautiful place to go visit and see the ship is really nice a piece of history the park is enjoyable and the Riverwalk is really really nice

Very interesting and thorough guided tour that lasted at least 90 min (be aware of the time commitment, but worth it). I did not know there were manned lightships on the Great Lakes, so seeing one and learning about their functioning and the life of the crew was fascinating.

The price is right. They take care of tires and everything for only $7.00.

Great self- guided tours. If you have a question, someone is there to help you. My kids are 9 and 11, both enjoyed it.

Beautiful tour of the ship, and Freighters were passing by. When the ship bell rings the Freighters sound off their horn.The tour really was packed with history of the Lighthouse Ship and saw lens used on it and captain, crew kitchen quarters.Very I teresting.

It is still currently closed due to high water levels but it is a must-see attraction or the Blue Water Area

Very cool place! Ive been wanting to see the light ship for a few years now, and had the chance today. Loved the Light ship, and the scenery. Well worth my drive up from Monroe, Michigan

The ship was great, and the tour guides knew every last detail of the history, crew, equipment, etc. Aside from the ship being pretty warm inside, the trip out was great.

If youre in the area, this is a must see!

The Volunteers/Staff here are amazing. They are quite knowledgeable of not only the ship, but local history as well. Tours are informative and rather lengthy, but worth it. If touring with younger kids try to go early and get a tour by yourselves. The guide was wonderful and helped our little one be entertained with a quicker tour. Thank you!

Historic lightship that used to be anchored in the foot of Lake Huron, guiding ships into and out of the St. Clair River (modern automated navaids have long since taken over the job. Get a glimpse of what life was like on a somewhat lonely post, and see and hear the freighters salute with their horns as they go by on the river.

A wonderful jewel in Port Huron. If you are just visiting the area or live here if you havent come for a visit it is a must. Excellent tour packed with a wealth of information

Update:We went on to the Lighthouse museum and had a WONDERFUL time amazing staff, amazing tour, absolutely could not have asked for a better experience. We spoke with the staff about our experience here and they were fantastic and we are more than satisfied with how they addressed it. Wonderful experience, wonderful people. We are going back for sure. Changing my 1 star review to a 5 star review!!!Original review: 1starVery odd, there is a money jar at the front near the fees sign, I paid for myself and my children. then we are approached by some strange man with no identifying information, doesnt introduce himself, just says I have to pay him $25, I explained that I already paid the money In the jar. He says no thats donations not entry fees. Ok looks like I am paying $50 to walk around a tiny boat for 15 mins. Not Ideal, but ok. Its my daughters birthday and she wants to visit all the museums. So I go to hand him 2 twenty dollar bills. Nope he cant make change. That seems suspicious. Then I ask if we get stamps, tickets, arm band etc. Nope. nothing that says he works here, nothing that says we paid. and no sign of him having taken entry fees from anyone else (no money other that what we were about to give him, and no access to any) we walked out and wont be back. I hope the donation we already made does some good.

We were lucky to get one of the most knowledgeable guides. He took us on a full tour and showed us all of the ship with stories to match! I highly recommend!

Great Ship Museum . . . Well Maintained and friendly Workers/Volunteers . . . Guides were busy when we arrived, we got to explore and take pictures at our leasure . . .

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, but it could open until a little later in the year.
