More than a few headstones with dates of births in the 1800s. Beautiful statues. Well kept lawn and pathways to walk. Be careful walking thru the grass as there are some wholes here and there. Walk slowly as the wholes are camouflaged by the grass.
No up keep what so ever and had to pick up my Aunts headstone
Not exactly a lively place. Its a small cemetery at the edge of griffing park. I have a lot of family buried there. The grounds are ok, years of rain and settling leave it a bit uneven. Older people with mobility issues really need to be careful. Ive never seen issues with overgrown weeds or grass in my visits over the years. The older graves seem to be next to the railroad tracks. Looking around most of the oldest graves are from the 1930s. If you hunt around you can find some older ones. Earliest Ive found so far was 1914-1917.Towards the front is where there had areas for infants. A lot of graves of kids that were a few days old. Many of them date to 1948-1949 for some reason.I can help but wonder if they recycle plots. I see empty space I could have sworn was occupied when I was a kid in the 70s.Either way its an ok final resting place. Easy enough to visit and adequately maintained.
