As much as they charge, youd think they wouldnt take over a year to do Nothing about the alleged coming soon surfing feature which is still nothing but a mosquito breeding ground. And now there is gross unsightly rust stains EVERYWHERE in addition to the cordoned off area in the middle if the lazy river area. Its not even busy right now at 1:18 on a cloudy Tuesday and I about vomited walking into the womens bathroom. Really foul!! The staff are bored and therefore very anal about EVERYTHING to the point where even the kids just want to leave. My 9yo was hopping from foot to foot, nowhere near anyone but me and not even hopping where an injury or slipping could occur..... Just transferring weight from foot to foot and she got yelled at for it. We will be traveling to Jekyll Island each weekend from hereon out. Or just anywhere but here. Youve been warned.
This was our first time to the water park. The name is miss leading, Surf lagoon. Now I know why the parking lot was empty. Could have had better prices to make up for the lack of size. Our girls where ready to leave after riding the slides a few times and head to the pool in our neighborhood. I just expected something bigger for the price.
My son loves this place. I however do not. Its way too expensive for its size. Dont get me wrong its a decent way to spend a day but its just too small for the crowd it attracts. By far the worst part is the concession stand. It takes forever to get your food. You need to commit at least 30 minutes to standing in line to order and then waiting in a separate line to get your food.
It was alright, only thing to do was go down slides and be on the lazy river (prices are ridiculous). This water attraction is mainly for toddlers-12 year of age. Also it gets REALLY REALLY HOT so I advise to wear sunglasses, sunscreen, and those fans that spray water for anyone not going to swim. Bring something to clean the toilets with because they are very dirty. Food isnt bad but its not the best.
Decent park, 4 slides. NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH LIFEGUARDS and many of the rules didn’t seem to be followed. At one point the lifeguard for the slide pool wasn’t in the water or even looking at the water. It’s a small park even for the price but if you can do their one month pass it saves a lot and makes it totally affordable if you plan to lifeguard your own children. Bathrooms were NOT clean, many of the lounge chairs were broken and there weren’t enough chairs even on a day when they weren’t that busy. The lockers are expensive ($9 for small one) but that area was nice and clean. A simple solution I’d suggest for the long line at the slides: paint a colored stripe 2 ft from the left side rail all the way up the stairs for the line for the body slide to the left, and people waiting for the tube slide would stay to the right. Also, get the stop/go lights working at the slides. And post a list of common courtesies to remind patrons to share the tubes. Many would slide down and then not give up their tube to those waiting. I also saw many tubes sitting on lounge chairs that people were hoarding. They weren’t using the chairs OR the tubes but keeping others from using them. We had a disabled family member with us and had trouble finding somewhere for her to sit and even got yelled at by a patron there while trying to give her a place to sit.
First- this place is cute, kinda small but had the basics of a water park. The slides were fun and the staff we encountered were nice. HOWEVER- for it being the first day open for the season and only 2 hours after opening... I’m sad to say that whatever management was in charge of the pool/lazy river- failed. The water was GROSS. So so dirty. FULL of dirt and what seemed like small tree branches or mulch. It was not the clean quality it should have been. I’ve been to many water parks and that’s what heavy filtration systems are for and if the water is dirty, suck it up and close the water for a half hour and have the staff get some nets and clean it! Multiple people ended up leaving because of it.For us- we were mostly about the slides and thankfully the water in that end was much cleaner.I will probably make a request to see the water before I purchase tickets again.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Waiting for the day the complete the surf simulation because son ask about when are they going to complete it. Would love for them to add several more slides as well. All in all its so much fun for the kids and you dont have to worry about losing them inside the water park.
We liked it, my wife and groan kids and especially my grand kids, just right for smaller children for a quick vacation moment in the cool water, really love the slides. Its small but just right for folks like me. But dont come hungry the snacks are a bit pricey . All in all good times.
We loved this water park. It was small but nice. Our kids could use the entire park without not being able to touch. They loved the pool, slides, and the lazy river. So sad to hear that its closed now. We were all sad when we found out they were closing.
My family enjoys this place. It is perfect for us and so close to home. I gave it a 4 because it needs a little up keep but overall we always enjoy our visits and we will be there this year again to support them.
The park was quite a disappointment not enough activities. Only the lazy river which is not well controlled...little kids not on float devices and running into everyone. The water surf section was advertised but not in operation. No huge bucket dump like at other parks. The concession stand prices are unreal and the service was the slowest I have ever experienced. Our family was quite disappointed. We booked our hotel close to this park on purpose thinking it was going to be fun and close for the kids, sadly it was not.
Love this place. Its good for all ages. Definitely a fun place for families also for adult couples. The lazy river was great, but the slides were much more fun.
This is my second time posting a poor review about Surf Lagoon. I did give it another chance and I have been several times. Unfortunately, after yesterday, I will never return again. I brought my 7 month old granddaughter with me and they chargef me $5.50 for her. That is utterly ridiculous to me. I think children under the age of one should get in free. Also, the childrens Splash Pad was not even open! The snack bar was only accepting credit. And they didnt have half of the items available to eat. I think I saw maybe one lifeguard.. there was also poop in one of the shower stalls.
We had a blast with the kids at surf lagoon. The place was very clean-including the bathrooms, the staff was very friendly, and the slides were fun. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was because it was a little pricey for only (essentially) 6 attractions. If they had some more slides, and it would be 5 star for sure! We will definitely be back!
No frills and somewhat small water park. No wave pool and a pretty small pool area. On the positive side the price to enter is reasonable, the place seemed clean and well maintained and there are 4 decent but small water slides and a decent lazy river. There is also a small kids water play area that my son enjoyed. Food and drinks are priced about what youd expect for this type of place. Not the cheapest but not too outrageous. If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to take the kids this is not a bad spot.
For the price you are not getting lunch. The park is 4 slides, a lagoon, a kiddie play area, and a lazy river. Their restaurant there advertises things that they do not have. And when I say advertise it I mean posters blatantly enticing you to buy it. Then come to find out they dont have it. They have requirements of life vest for smaller children but the only way to get one is to walk around the park and fine 1 draped over a railing somewhere. Not to mention they are in horrible condition. 2 of the 4 slides are only used with single or double innertubes, which are not inflated to standard in my opinion. To good things about the park is that they have a lot of Sun shades scattered about the park so you are not in the Sun the whole time and their green slide, which is a tube slide, really picks up some speed. I mean that baby sends you flying. I guess its an OK place because its local, but this is a place just to check out once and then never return.
This park is a waste of time and money. its nothing but a school play ground with water.. ya come out better getting gas and going to summer waves at Jekyll island. That space could have been used for a nice restaurant or better yet cheese cake factory.. Was my first and last time going..
Very relaxing. Not big at all but cozy, quiet and awesome place to lay back & absorb the sun. Wear your sunscreen
I have been each summer since they opened. In the past summers we went a few times. I dont expect to return unless I hear of changes. The price for the amount of things to do just isnt comparable to other parks I can go to in the area. The shorter drive used to appeal to me, but now I think I will just drive that extra. The bathrooms were totally unacceptable and I tend to have grace with bathrooms. I know they can get dirty quickly, but this didnt appear to be touched at all during the day. Disappointed because I have really wanted this to be somewhere I would visit frequently with my boys.
This was our first time at the park and I gave this park 2 stars although we had fun you start to get bored after a while because its small and not a lot to do. I think they are pricey for what it is. They have 4 slides (2 tube and 2 without tube). Their lazy river and pool are also connected making it feel smaller. We tried to buy numerous things from their snack shack and couldnt because they didnt have what we wanted, no dip and dogs no pretzels and the staff werent to friendly. Very disappointed with that.
Great time on the floating river. The pool floor was a little dirty and there was a lot of female hair floating. A bit pricey but recommend for a hot day.
First time coming here but will never come again. Sold me locker that we didnt need. So, i understand no refund policy. They should have park credits. Ants on chairs crawling up my legs...it call ( Pest Control).
We were there today. It was busy but we didnt wait long for food. Lines moved quick for the slides and staff was friendly enough. Facilities were clean. We live nearby so we have bought passes which are a decent deal. I do wish there was a little more to do but Ive heard they will expand.
Great little water park! My kids, age 7 and 12, absolutely love it. Only downside is that it is very expensive for us. About $20 per person.
Worst experience ever!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!. We went there and all 4 slides were down, the only thing operating was the lazy river. They wanted you to pay FULL price and couldnt give you an answer if the slides would be fixed! The Park wouldnt even let us go to the bathroom unless you paid them full price. Save your money and go somewhere else!!I would give this place ZERO stars but cant post unless I give it one!
On June 23, 2016 I was here with my family. This was the worst experience of my life! The life guards sucks! I got on the water slide with a tube. When I slide into the pool I went under water and almost drown. The life guard was a few feet away and never saw me under fighting for my life. Witnesses saw what happen and was scared for me. After the near death experience I went to the manager and told her what happen and she did not take the situation serious. I want to talk to someone higher up. This was my life on the line!
It was a great place to take my babies! They love the water and loved the kid friendly, all ages welcome theme. The staff was upbeat and courteous as well.
This is a small and inexpensive water park, my kids love to come here. I let my older kids go on their own, there is no getting lost.
Wont be going back. We went for the first time and wasnt impressed. They have 4 slides, a lazy river, and a zero entry water area that leads to the lazy river. Thats it. The life vests were awful! Dry rot, flotation foam missing from large sections of the vests, torn and or holes. After going down the slides multiple times we were then told that our 7 year old needed to have a life vest. My husband asked where we could get her one. The life guard wasnt sure and just motioned for us to just use whatever we found laying around. He then spotted one that had been tossed over the rope and handed it to my husband for our daughter. It was beyond usable. My husband addressed the life vests condition to customer service and wasnt treated with any concern about the safety of the vests. The customer service was horrible. We went to buy some (over priced) drinks and mid ordering the girl taking our order just walked away and was gone for a significant period of time. She didnt excuse herself. The life guards werent attentive. They were talking to each other or carrying on with the people in the water. Safety was not their top concern! Absolutely unacceptable!!
Dont work here the hours are crazy beautiful place but they dont take kindly to certain things. I worked there a 17 year old without a car and got fired because of a lack of transportation its just not worth it.
We had my daughters 4th birthday party here and was very unsatisfied. Prior to the party I called and sent several emails with questions which have still not been answered. I sent the invitations out advising that the party would be from 11-1 as the hours of the park were 10-6... this would allow me an hour to set up for the party and have wrist bands for all of our guests prior to their arrival; however with no warning, the park hours were changed and the park did not open until 11. The management would not allow us to prep in any way prior and we’re not accommodating in any way to the situation. The table and chairs were covered in dirt, pollen and cob webs as if they had not been cleaned since the previous season and the lazy river also had a lot of dirt and debris. I also used the women’s restroom soon after we were admitted and there was no toilet paper. The park is poorly maintained and managed at best. While the staff was poorly trained on park policy, they were very pleasant and at the end of the day there was fun to be had.I’m sure we will visit the park again this year but will likely skip it next year if the cleanliness and maintenance do not improve.
Overpriced and they need to exterminate badly! Wasps were everywhere! I couldnt even get to the womens locker room because there a wasps nest right above it, so a manager let me use the mens (I had my 2 year old and he was terrified). Later, I was trying to put my 5 month old to sleep, and I had to get up twice and wake her up because wasps were swarming around me. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries because I remembered I enjoyed their food last summer, but they were out of ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and onion! The manager took my order and when he gave me my food and I said I didnt want it without all of the missing items, she tried to tell me I couldnt get a refund! I had to find another manager to get my money back. Incredible.
I just drove from SC to come and enjoy a day with my daughter and her friend for basically the last weekend of the summer and on the website it still said that it was still open and come to find out, ITS NOT!!!!!
Staff wouldnt let us bring snacks or drinks for our 1 year old. The place seemed nasty. No soap in the mens room so no one was washing their hands before getting in the water. The water needed to be cleaned from dirt and spiders that were dead. Seems line they would do it before opening. There werent many people there so that may be a sign. I just thought we were early since we got there when they opened. All the other water parks Ive been to have been full from open til close. Definitely not the type of place I expected. Especially for the prices.
This place is horrible! Ran by a bunch of teenagers who think they are grown and are disrespectful and lack knowledge of how to properly handle customer complaints. The concessions never have anything available or maybe that is just what I was told because they didnt want to look, the wait time for food is long and its over priced for some nasty food. The line is extremely long to get it, and you still have to wait if you a pass holder. They are definitely under staffed. The pool is disgusting, band-aids floating around, algae on the wall, I hope it was in the bottom of the pool and not nothing more. The floats are always deflated. The splash area for tots is fun and I cant complain about that. Today the slides were down for half of our visit. Today will be my last time ever going unless they get new management and staff. Not to mention that I had a young teenager (park go-er, not staff) yell in my face in front of my child and making some insane comments and the acting Manager had nothing to say. I do not want my children to be around that kind of behavior. This should have been a fun time for my family today, as we get ready for school to start back I wanted to take them somewhere to have fun, instead we were totally let down and had a horrible time from start to finish.
This is a small water park, but very clean and has a great bunch of kids working there. My friends and family like this one better than some of the others nearby, because of the size and where it is located.I feel very safe with my kids there and recommend it to any family!
You know there’s something called custodians right? This placed was SO SO SOOO dirty it had dirt everywhere in the lazy river cobwebs in lots of places there shouldn’t of been, wasps and bees filling the air which I HATE. But, I mean honestly how is this place still in business? It looks as if it’s not!
Was interesting till it began to rain and they didnt seem to have any place for shelter
Not worth the money. They havent added anything new and have had the same attraction in construction for three years now. Save your money and go to splash in the boro.
Great price, hours of operation could improve. Lots of seating. Lazy pool, slides, and surf simulator coming.
The park is OPEN on google and but it’s actually CLOSED a couple of years ago. Waste of two hours driving back and forth from Hilton Head..
Company party for 35. Ticket counter staff was friendly. Gate personal allowed us in with our cooler of water and was very plesant. She walked us to the cabanas. Food was as expected and food staff was accomodating considering ordering for 35 people. Wait time was reasonable for the food. Would like to see a few more rides but all and all a very good experience.
Great family friendly place. Love taking my kids here where they can enjoy in the sides. Friendly staff and great management.
Basically a glorified, overpriced pool. Only stayed for two hours because you could only go on the lazy river so many times before it was boring. I know it said it on their website that you couldnt bring drinks or food in the park but with the park being so expensive and lack of things to do I feel it should be allowed. Ive been to much nicer and WAY bigger water parks that were the same price and you could bring food and drinks.
Great place for the kids to go. Not alot to do but we enjoyed it.
Let me begin with horrible!! My daughter and l took her daughters/ my granddaughters on Saturday to this place. I had a coupon for buy one entry and get one free so we went to the window to get the tickets and were told the coupon was only good on Fridays even though it does not say that on the coupon not was there a sign anywhere that stated that.so we ask to speak to a manager and what we got was a very smart ass little prick that said that was their policy and he could not help us. He also stated that we were holding up the line but the cashier had my money and I was waiting for my change and arm bracelet. When I told him that he laughed at us. So I asked for his name he refused to tell me and I asked to speak to someone over him he said that there was no one over him. Not one of the employees would give us his name they said it was against their policy. I can not believe the way we were treated and that the owners would let someone like him call himself manager. The water park is over priced, nothing to do but the lazy river and 5 slides. Plus we had to wait 30 minutes to get a drink and the lines were not even that long. The life guard at the bottom of the slides that day young girl not very nice. Anyway I have been to splash in the borrow and summer waves so much better for the money. Never ever ever would I go back to surf lagoon. More like the black lagoon. Horrible employees. Hopefully someone that is over the managers there will read this and see there are major problems with this water park.
Staff is nice n relaxed very friendly...only thing I dont like is there isnt a swimming pool n needs to be open more
The park itself was fine and my children who were five and seven had a blast and we had friends join us that had children 12 14 and 15 and they did have a great time. There seem to be plenty of chlorine in the water so that appeared to be good but the bathroom was horrific and the Foodservice was way too slow way too understaffed and way too unorganized pack a cooler with drinks sandwiches and whatever else you want and youll be fine
Frist time there and I absolutely LOVED it.I will be coming back to visit from Gainesville FL
Had a blast it was fun we got a pass forA moth it was cloudy cant wait to go back when the sun is ok out
Nice place to relax and float around the river, but they really need to open some more attraction there. The price is ridiculous for only a couple slides and a lazy river.
First time going as was far from impressed. After my youngest daughter had already gone down the slides multiple times, I was told she needed a life jacket. I asked a lifeguard where I could get one. He grabbed one for me and said here. It was ripped and missing the flotation. I took the life jacket and turned it in up front. The lady I spoke with told me I could just go get one that was laying on the ground. The next 2 I picked up where also ripped open. Not impressed. I asked for a manager to speak with but never got to speak with the manager. Another life guard was instructed to go get new life jackets out of storage. While on the lazy river I never once saw a life guard on the backside between the river and the slides. Serious need to have someone there to watch for issues. The life guards in the pool at the slides never moved. Multiple times people would go under and the life guards offered no assistance. Not sure who inspects water parks for safety related issues but this park needs to be inspected.Roughly 2 months have passed since visiting, and no explanation from the owner as to why the issues listed above happened.
Loved it the only thing that we didnt like was that we couldnt bring any outside food in the park, but other than that great.
My family went for the first time today, it was great!! We had an awesome day. It was very clean.
Nakiria Frazier “helped” me at the window for food and drinks on May 23rd at 1pm. She had a HORRIBLE attitude, was rude and was a smart ass. I ordered 2 cheese burgers, a basket of fries, chicken strips, and two drinks which equals 39.00. I asked for Souvenir cups, they were out. They were out the last time they were here. So I asked if I could simply, pay the refill price for a souvenir cup for my refills on the regular cups later in the day. She told me no. The entire conversation she was rolling her eyes and wouldn’t make eye contact with me. When I mentioned that to her she argued with me. When I asked to speak to a manager, she radioed the issue and when she got her answer, she looked at me as if the issue was handled. I then again asked to speak to the manager MYSELF. she then rolled her eyes again and radioed her over. The manager was very nice, though she said she didn’t have the authority to authorize refills for that day. I don’t understand how management doesn’t have the authority to do so? My main complaint here was the horrible attitude of mrs Frazier.
Way over priced for the little there is to do. Dont waste your money and time. Even the kids were bored after 30 minutes.
Pretty pricey for the small size but my little ones enjoyed it (4&2)
Nice place to go on Tuesdays ($10 Tuesday) when you need a break from the beach scene.
Gift shop is a joke. This one ride has been in the works for a couple years and still under construction. Food is very expensive. Roaches in the lockers and they smell bad. This place will be ran into the ground before to long. **Update** as of May 30th. They sold and closed it down. No more.
Expensive for a local. The season pass makes it more affordable. I had 4-7 year olds and they loved it!
Lazy River - nice spot to cool down on a hot day.
Would be better if they had more options of activities, but other than that it is a fun place
They have decided to save money by cutting back on the number of lifeguards on duty. It is VERY UNSAFE. There are supposed to be 9 lifeguards for the lazy river and water area where you enter the lazy river.... and today there was only 3 lifeguards. Many days Ive been there are only 3-4 lifeguards for this area. It is highly unsafe. Someone is going to get hurt!!!! And the little kids splash area doesnt have a lifeguard at all this year ... Last year this area always had a lifeguard. The owner should be ashamed of himself for putting people at such a high risk of being harmed. He has also cut back the number of lifeguards at the slides. This waterpark is so unsafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a pleasant experience. I will be getting my money back on my season passes. They decided 2 days before the 23rd of April to not allow season pass holders with children under age 16 into the pool in order to have student appreciation. I have not only contacted the corporate office but also the Better business bureau. The staff turned off the capability to review on FB and also the ability to comment on the page. This is unacceptable especially when it was not mentioned in the season pass holders paperwork not on the website before the 21st of April.
The worst this place is a joke over priced nothing works always closed about the only thing you can do is sit in the lazy river no floats no fun night as well have sat in my bath tub ... Customer service is the worse I have ever had to deal with rude rude rude!!!!! As for the food what food they dont have anything alls I hear is no we out of that no we out of that why have if you dont have they are a joke and should close the, doors big rip off
Fun place, reasonably priced. We would definitely go again.
First time coming here with an eleven year old. Too pricey to get in, and according to what they have its not worth the price at all. The food and drinks are over priced. I should have read the reviews before even coming. The STAFF ARE RUDE and do not have good customer service skills. Its overly packed after they open. Definitely will not return here!
We planned a lovely day at this water park. We drive quite a distance. When we got there it was closed & it claimed it was open when we Google it. We were all very disappointed.
Dont waste your time! This place is dirty, and very small. Overpriced for what they have to offer.
Im posting as a former season pass holder. Sadly, Surf Lagoon has not been maintained at all. The landscaping has been ignored and maintenance on the property has clearly been deferred. I wrote to them last year expressing concern and disappointment because we had such high hopes and expectations due to their high prices. They ignored that email. Just this week I had commented on one of their facebook videos that I was disappointed they have not given much care to landscaping and maintenance since they opened and how I wish they had as the park had much potential to be a fun summer spot in our area. One other user posted she agreed and really like the park outside of that. Their reaction? Our comments were removed and we were blocked from their page. This is not an acceptable response to a customer, IMHO. If this is how they handle feedback, its probably best to just keep driving on to Summer Waves Jekyll Island or Splash in the Boro Waterpark & Aquatics Center where they have some semblance of customer care.
DONT GO HERE!!!!! First of all it will be $50 for 3 people!!!!! Its only cheaper on tuesday and Thursdays. Why those awful dates of the week. NO POOL just a lazy river and 4 slides 2 of which are only for floats. The river only goes 3FT DEEP!!!!!! Not to also mention they close at six and when I went they closed it early due to a turd in the river. Overall dont go here and go to the beach or a real river, cause its cheaper and doesnt go only 3FT DEEP!!!!!!
Kids had a great time but youre kind of stuck they over charge for drinks and the food which really isnt good but its the only game in town I would definitely recommend packing a cooler with some sandwiches and stuff but overall a very good time
Lifeguards too young and not enough of them. Could be nice if better run.
Im here from out of town on business. Myself and some friends from work went and had a really good time. I had read bad reviews and was sceptical about going. Im glad we decided to go. We had a blast. Thanks!
The park was small. The lazy river goes threw the kiddie pool. The price is the same price as bigger waters park near here. It was not worth the money spent. It needs to be priced lower! It is the first and last time our family will visit.
Loved the lazy River, fun slides & laid back atmosphere,,also the music added a nice touch,,the lockers r very easy & convenient to use, we will return if ever back in the area
Simple and entertaining. Prices are little too high considering the options you have around the waterpark.
They have a great monthly pass, I love the lazy river. Great place to come hang out and cool off
Dirty, many things breaking, kids jungle gym sprays water way too hard for younge ones to enjoy themselves. Way too much money for the quality.
Have been every summer with my children. This year was a bit disappointing. The staff at the concession stand was quite rude. While standing in line for over 15 min already the girl working our window just closed (closed the window and left) with a full line ! Never said anything just left. Myself and 4 other families moved to another line. Then waited 10 more min in a new line ordered and they said it would be 10 min for my food spent almost an hour for a pretzel and piece of pizza for my kids. Nobody was apologetic quite rude actually. Very disappointing. Tried speaking with a manager they seemed to not care.
Decent place. Kids had fun. They should have a lifeguard in the middle of the lazy river to watch the kids Goofing off. Also, someone who would collect and organize the stranded tubes everywhere. The tubes start to collect and jam the lazy river making it hard to pass by. Oh and......smaller tubes for kids :) other than that decent place, expensive but decent. :)
Best Waterpark ever!! Best staff and great food. Lines arent long and the park is very clean. Ill definitely be coming back!
Drove an hour and half to go here. Pull up and its closed. Nothing about this on the recording when I called. No sign up explaining. Had to try and explain to a screaming and broken hearted 2 year old why we couldnt go in. Apparently there was a chance of rain later that day (eyes rolling) They should update the recording on their phone since you cant speak to a real person!!!!!
Me and my family loved it! I hope we are able to come here again one day!
Its a cute water park, my family comes here often but....the bathrooms were so gross immediately after opening this morning. Consession stand had only one line open so getting food was just ridiculous and hot. May not come back
They are closed. Dont know why.
This place is a joke compared to the other parks in surrounding areas! Over priced, poorly managed, dirty restrooms (if they arent out of order), not enough staff or lifeguards, food doesnt taste good(especially for the price), water was dirty, slides not working and an all around eye sore!! The people running this are clearly trying to make as much money as they can, and could care less about the customer!! We will NOT be going back and we will be telling any and everyone to save their money....more fun at home with a slip n slide!!
We will never go back. Rude staff. My daughter couldnt bring her life vest in, which an approved vest. I knew it was small in size, but the fact theres no place for us to just swill around without rude people hitting into my 6 year old is annoying. It is also way to expensive for how small and food is stupidly priced as well. Never again.
I wish I could give no stars. have never visited but I was planning a birthday party there for my son and I have left several emails requesting information and left several voicemails with no response at all. there is no information listed on the web page and from viewing the reviews we will be going to splash in the boro. You reply thank you to all of the GOOD reviews but seem to be illiterate to the negative reviews which tells me that you do not care about the customers you are all about money apparently. you lost my business. should have called me back.
This place is terrible. A 30 minute wait without shade to purchase tickets. Cannot bring in your own water. There are no water fountains. My niece had a heat spell and collapsed after waiting 20 minutes on another line without shade. No one from the manage to identified themselves or showed any concern. I have been calling the number listed and it is disconnected with no alternative contact. They charge 3. Dollars for water. Dont go here. Drive to Statesboro or Jekyl Island, the drive will be worth it
Admission was overpriced for what little they had. The concession stand was terrible. I originally wanted to order pizza but they were out of so I settled for hot dogs. It took them over 5 minutes to make two hotdogs and when we did get them we asked for ketchup and they were conviently out and they didn’t offer any other solution for it. Their obnoxiously expensive souvenir cups were from last season with a 2018 sticker slapped over last years date.
Very nice ticket hostess, and family oriented water park with food drink and snacks. Prices reasonable as well.
Visiting from Maryland. Park staff was attentive. We had the best time.
So sad. The last two times I went (today the last), there was algae all on side of pool. At the entrance of the pool someone took dirty diaper and rubbed along the bottom. Slides not working. Did not have most food items. Not enough lifeguards. Workers not happy or nice. Went to speak to manager, she didnt have time to talk to me. After a few words, manager (over walkie talkie ) did agree to give a refund.
Bought season passes, and we dont even use them. Place is always dirty. People dont wear proper swimwear. Last time we went, a guy was in the pool in tighty whities, and the staff never said anything. Bathrooms are ridiculous. Almost like theyre encouraging people to pee in the pool, instead.
We went here yesterday (5/28/17) at 3:00pm. The gentleman at the front gate helping people with their wrist bands and entering, was very polite and helpful. The lines moved quickly on the slides, which was nice. There was a male life guard yelling at the kids coming off the slides if they didnt get their tubes out fast enough. I understand the need to keep the area clear, but he was unnecessarily nasty to them. It was clear he didnt want to be there. The water in the lazy river was dirty and full of debris. We kept stepping on what appeared to be woodchips. Long strings of hair kept getting stuck on our ankles...it was gross. The empty tubes were constantly clogging up the river. There was the same male life guard mentioned above in the lazy river who was very rude and nasty to the children, again. We were charged $2 for water at the concessions, and the ground to get there is very hot! The frozen lemonade is very refreshing.Lastly, the bathrooms were very dirty. They had run out of toilet paper, and it appeared guests had started using paper towels and throwing them on the floor near the toilet. At this point we left as we needed to use a functional bathroom. We live close to the park, but Im not sure how much of our summer will be spent here. We will try splash in the boro next.
