Best rooms in Detroit area that I have experienced! I have gone through all of the rooms here, and we will keep going back as they introduce rooms. The staff knows these rooms very well, they have excellent clues when you are stuck and keep a careful watch while you are trying to escape so they can help you immediately. The design of the rooms is the best in Detroit, easily. They have very large escape rooms, usually 4 rooms or more per game. One room even has a second level...it is a very fun experience. Very well thought out puzzles, less “gimmicky” than other typical strip mall escape rooms. Dedicated local owner-operator group that runs it daily and it shows, keep up the excellent work!!

I’ve been to a ton of escape rooms, and this one is hands down the best. The environment was phenomenal, the game master was a joy, and the puzzles were excellent. Solid 10/10. (I included some pictures of the waiting room)

We had a great time in the Lockdown Room. The room was elaborately set-up with great puzzles and hidden treasures. This company was also very easy to work with and we were able to add-on 2 members later on without a problem. Would highly recommend!

We had so much fun at this escape room! Body of Lies room series were a horrific delight. Tyler, our guide, was funny and helpful when needed. 100% will do another.

Amazing escape rooms! Not your average/thrown together at the last minute room. They use real technology and high quality props! Forget everything you know about those other rooms that use stickers on everything for the clues. This is the real deal! The only issue is finding the right building! They have a little sign, look for Erebus Escape Entrance.

This was an awesome experience! Between an attentive and friendly staff to the actual room itself (Body of Lies) it was a 5 star experience for sure. The room (or rooms) was full of awesome details that really made you think and immerses you into the story. There was also several TVs on the walls, that updated frequently throughout meant to help you stay on task. I thought of the TVs as arrows in a videogame that occasionally pop up to keep you on your mission and moving toward the goal. They didnt spoil anything nor right out give you the answer. By the time our party moved into the final room, we were insanely impressed by the production and entertainment value of the whole experience. Cant recommend this enough and we WILL be returning sooner rather than later.

A group of friends and I spent the evening here and we had the best time! Tyler was such a great group leader for us!!!!

Absolutely incredible ! Amazing experience and there was so much to do.We did the jail escape and there was 5 of us. We did end up escaping with 5 minutes left!The man who helped us check in was super nice and very very helpful.

We’ve been to a few escape rooms, and I think this is the best one in metro Detroit. We did the body of evidence and was really impressed with the clever clues and the size—there were 5 rooms in total. The theatrics and scenes are also very well done.

The Breakout escape room was very fun. Several rooms, all with challenging and well done puzzles. We finished with four minutes to spare.Cant wait for more themed attractions in the future!

We did the Lockdown room with 2 other couples (6 people total), and it was awesome! We’ve done at least 15 escape rooms around the county, and this is definitely one of the best out there - great puzzles (very challenging without being frustrating), no red herrings, just the right level of hints to keep us going, plenty of work for at least 6 people to be involved the whole time... very well-designed and executed! The owners were also great to talk to and hang out with; they clearly know what they’re doing, but are eager for feedback and ideas to keep making it even better. An awesome experience - check it out!

Our group went here for the Prison themed room. We had an absolute blast. It was unique and fun. Challenging, but not overly so. And our game master was able to help us when needed with clues. He didnt give us too many clues, but just enough to keep the game going when things got difficult.Cant wait to come back for the other room and we are looking forward to the rooms being built right now.Only suggestion I have, is I dont see a way to avoid the fees when booking online. Not sure if you accept walk-ins, but it would be a nice option.

Loved loved loved this escape room experience!! First time going to any escape room and I’m so glad I picked this one. Went with a group of friends and we all had a great time! It was spooky, fun and challenging! The rooms were unreal and really detailed. The staff was incredible! I definitely will be going back!

We did the prison escape room for a team-building event at work and it was fantastic! The team was friendly, helpful and the props/room was amazing. Definitely recommend!

First time doing an escape room and this was a great experience. The host was wonderful! The Lockdown experience was very well thought out. Would definitely recommend.

Came all the way from New Mexico for a wedding and the newly-weds took us here. I’ve only been to one escape room before and this experience BLEW my past one away. “Lockdown” was the room we chose and it had a piece of every element that makes group games fun. Challenging yet rewarding we had a blast! I made my friends promise they bring me back to Erebus Escape next time I’m back in town!

Great time! Great staff! Very impressed how detailed/ professional/ even realistic the rooms/props were! We chose Body of Evidence. I went with my children for my husbands birthday; great family / team building experience working out the clues.. Highly recommend! They have 2 different theme rooms & working on 2 more! Looking forward to go again for another themed room!

I had an amazing experience here. The staff was so friendly and energetic. The escape room itself was beyond fun. The effects were so realistic and thought out. I wouldnt go to any other place for an escape room! I will definitely be returning!

First time doing an Escape Room. We did Lockdown. We escaped with just under 4 minutes left. The group size I feel was too many (11), I think smaller groups of 6-8 would be better but overall fun. Really makes you think. We will definitely be going back.

They really do know how to make the mystery interesting! Amazing props, and decor, plus storylines that will hook you right away. You can tell they put in a lot of time, and work into making sure you forget you were playing a game, and actually trying to solve a case. Definitely will be going again!

I have been to several rooms in several cities across the mid-west. This one is the best I have done. The quality of the room is amazing, so well detailed everything seems real. The puzzle although the hardest I have done it was also the best. The clues are very clever and well planned. I have never really wanted to go back and do the other rooms so quickly but if i have the time I would have done there other room instantly. I cant see someone saying and other escape room is better.

Awesome place! The staff running the place are super nice and helpful. We did the Body of Evidence room (not spooky). Every scenery looked absolutely real! These guys have the best props I have ever seen in escape rooms! Totally recommended for anyone that wants to have a great time. Were definitely coming back.

I have been into the haunt and live entertainment business for sometime and Eds amazing team never stops disappointing. This experience was well detailed, perfectly laid out, and really creative. The room was perfect for team building and adventure. The family is humble and ready to hear your thoughts. Keep up the great work guys!!!! I will be coming back.

Building is Super cool we do a lot of escape rooms, lock down was pretty good. We like different areas to explore. I would recommend. They only have 2 running rooms currently but the building has great potential!

Took the family to the new room last night...Body of Evidence. It was amazing! This is not just for adults. Kids absolutely loved it. The owners and managers are very friendly too. Only suggestion is give people a better idea of how many rooms are in each room. Would help teams gage when to ask for hints based on how much time is left. This is by far, the best escape room company in the world. Cant wait for the next room to open. 5 stars!!!!!

I usually dont do reviews but this was so much fun I had to. My best friend and I have been going to the Erebus haunted house for years so when we were looking into escape rooms for the first time we saw the name and were instantly like Well now we have to go. Erebus did not disappoint at all, it was an incredible experience. It was much more difficult than we were expecting, we only had 3 people (the minimum for the prison room) and they explained it was designed for 12, so dont expect to succeed the first time with a small group (we still had about 15 minutes of stuff to do at the end of the hour and they said we did pretty good). Now that weve done it once, were planning to do the same room again and seeing how much faster we can get through (were aiming for 45 minutes next time.) They definitely got the creepy but not scary style they were aiming for and the guy there was very pleasant and helpful.I cant recommend it enough to anyone who likes puzzles or problem solving and youll do well if you have good communication and can remember 3 and 4 digit numbers easily.

Had a ball! I had a party if six and we were with 4 strangers. It was awesome we all worked together as one big team. The puzzles were well done. Brad the gentleman that was running it was very hospitable and friendly. The rooms were incredible. The whole experience was exhilarating and fun. I highly, highly recommend this place as team building or just plain old fun way to spend time with a group of friends. We’ll be back. Genius!!!

This was a really top-notch escape room. Ive done a couple of escape rooms at different places and this was by far the most impressive one I have ever done. I felt like I was on a movie set! A lot of other escape rooms have a very... Hand made feel. This one felt professional. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try an escape room. (Or to those who have been to a few already)

This place is hands down the most detailed, original and incredible escape room I’ve ever been to!!! We chose Lockdown which was so awesome, we felt like we were teleported into an actual prison. The puzzles were challenging but not out of reach. We finished with 11 minutes left on the clock and I wished we could do it all over again. I’ve been to other escape rooms but none even come close to the incredible detail you’ll experience in these. They’re constantly adding new rooms and I can’t wait to go again and try them all!!! Give this place a try, you won’t be sorry!!!

Great Decor, original puzzles, attentive staff. Having been in the entertainment business for over 35 years, I can tell you this is the real deal and worth the money.

Had a great time. The guy working (Brandon I think) was fantastic. Not just an all around great guy with great personality, but our group decided to do another room after the first one and he stayed past closing time so we could do it. Rare to see such good employees that care these days. Both rooms were great. Quality props, Immersive settings, and cool puzzles. I personally liked Lockdown more than Body of Evidence, but would reccomend either. Very excited to see what this company puts out in the future. I will definitely be back when new rooms open up.

The employees are super nice, and the rooms are incredibly detailed. Extremely involved, and are unique in their own way from all the other escape rooms out there. Very exciting and captivating, if you like escape rooms at all I highly recommend it.

Great experience more like 4.9. Easy to figure out for the most part they just need to work out a few kinks making some items more clear to understand. Our host was amazing and explained everything as best as he could without giving anything away. Definitely going again!

We had a small group of teachers and this Prison Break room was hilarious and so much fun! I have done a lot of escape rooms and this one is one of the best!! We had 7 people and it seemed like a perfect amount. Zach was a GREAT host. We will definitely be returning once the other rooms are completed.

This was my first escape room and it was a great experience! I did it with my work colleagues and our spouses for our Holiday party, such a great time! We made it out with 58 seconds left and it was harder than I expected. Great job! Really well thought out!

Took a group here for a 16th birthday party and had a great time. Josh went out of his way to make it a great experience! The room we rented was perfect as well.

I went a few weeks ago and got to take a look at the new Body of Evidence room, and this place never fails to disappoint. The production value alone is worth the price of admission – some of the props used looked like they came right out of a movie set. The escape room itself was very challenging (had a group of 8 and failed to escape in the allotted time), but it was fun the whole way through. The puzzles were never too difficult; they just really make you think outside of the box. This is definitely a place to check out if you’re into high quality escape rooms. I’ve done a few other rooms in metro Detroit and Erebus Escape is definitely my favorite in the area. I can’t wait to see the rest of the games once they’re available!

Awesome Experience! I think 12 people is almost too many, I feel 9 would have been best, but besides that it was a ton of fun. I am excited to try the new rooms they are building. :)

I’ve been to this escape room three times with three different groups of friends. The detail of the design is incredible and the puzzles are great. All three times I’ve been there the best props failed to work. I was told the first time that I would receive half off the next time I came in.... I didn’t. The last time I went I was told the New room was opening soon and I would get a private room for free because of how many times the props failed on me, that was in December and it’s about to be May. They had the right idea to remedy the situation they just fell short.

Fantastic escape room; the best weve experienced so far! They had a huge variety of puzzles to experience, the production value was SO high, and we were continually surprised by how the room unfolded. The GM was attentive and enthusiatic. I would highly recommend visiting this escape room, whether its your first escape or your thirtieth!

We played the Lockdown room. It was everything that I expected from Erebus. It had a realistic theme. The room, props and puzzles were very clever and appropriate to the theme. We felt like we were in prison cells trying to escape. There were many fun surprises and cool, innovative effects. I cant stress enough what a great experience this is. I would give 10 stars if I could. Amazing!

This is the premier room of metro Detroit. I went in fully expecting superior quality since Erebus is a household name and it exceeded even those expectations. I will be watching for new rooms with serious anticipation. The owners are amazing guys, too! Go here!

This place is awesome. I have been to my fair share of escape rooms and this was by far one of the best I have been too. It is very elaborate and fun. It is not scary what so ever ( do not mistake it for the Erebas haunted house). I can not recommend this place enough.

Was a great time. They take care of their customers well. Very detailed in walking you through what your about to go do. Made it a fun and competitive experience.

My only disappointment is that this was the first escape room I have done. My expectations for all future ones are set so high I cant imagine anything coming close to them. In my opinion, my group failed to escape because we couldnt imagine the complexity of the puzzles brought to life. In the future, I will know not to underestimate them again. It was fun for everyone involved. It was very family friendly. I cant wait for them to open their next room so I can try it again.

Me and a few friends last minute decided to visit Erebus Escapes, was definitely happy we made the decision. Absolutely great experience, the escape room was very intricate with more than just clues but a story line, will definitely be back. They set themselves apart from the others, with the escape rooms and the extremely helpful staff!!

This is the first escape room U have ever visited. I was just going because everyone else wanted to try it. Sometimes peer pressure is a good thing! We did the prison escape. So much fun!!! The light and sound effects were very professional. I have never been in prison, but it was similar to movie prison. I will be back to try another escape room at Erebus.

Rarely do I leave a review of a place but I had a great time here. Definitely one of the top rooms that Ive been to. There was a slight issue where a box combination was mismatched and had to be switched out but we were given a bit of extra time to compensate for it so that was nice :)

Every other Escape Game I have done has been unsatisfying, childish, and a lame. But boy lemme tell ya...EREBUS ESCAPE is easily the best 1 hour vacation I have been on. These professional artists and engineers perfect the concept of Escapism in a challenging thrilling way. 10/10 would recommend
